As part of the exhibition “The Universe of the Master”, a round table was held at the Russian House in New Delhi, dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the birth of the great Russian artist, thinker, traveler and public figure Nicholas Roerich.
The forum was organized by the International Center of the Roerichs, the Russian Embassy in India, the Russian House, the Indian Association of Teachers of Russian Language and Literature, the National Center for Public Diplomacy of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization in Russia, the International Union of Non-Governmental Organizations and the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly.
At the round table, two Indians were awarded Pushkin Medals for their services in the field of education and active work in popularizing the Russian language and literature - Dr. Pankaj Malviya and Prof. Amar Basu.

Tourism potential of Russia abroad will be promoted under the unified brand Discover Russia

In the first year, the Russian tourism brand promotion program will focus on the countries that can make the greatest contribution to the economy - China, India, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Iran and Oman.
NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday condemned the terrorist attack at a Moscow music hall in Russia in which over 60 people have been killed and 100 wounded.
The Prime Minister "strongly condemn the heinous terrorist attack in Moscow" and said India strongly stands in solidarity with the Russian government.
"We strongly condemn the heinous terrorist attack in Moscow. Our thoughts and prayers are with the families of the victims. India stands in solidarity with the government and the people of the Russian Federation in this hour of grief," the Prime Minister wrote.
The exhibition “The Master’s Universe”, dedicated to the anniversary of Nicholas Roerich (1874–1947), opened at the Russian House in New Delhi.
The exhibition includes more than 150 reproductions on canvas and photographs from the Roerichs’ archive. It was prepared by the International Center of the Roerichs. Co-organizers are the Russian House and the Russian Embassy in India, the National Center for Public Diplomacy of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization in Russia, the International Roerich Memorial Trust in Naggar, the International Union of Non-Governmental Organizations "Eurasian Peoples' Assembly".
The multifaceted activities of Nicholas Roerich attracted the attention of Jawaharlal Nehru. In 1942, he came to the artist’s estate in the Himalayas with his daughter Indira. Future Indian leaders spend several days in conversations with Roerich, and this communication lays the foundation for creative cooperation between the peoples of Russia and India.
