В Русском доме в Нью-Дели состоялась встреча индийских студентов, посвященная Дню славянской письменности и культуры.

Гости узнали об истоках славянской письменности, о том, почему реальные исторические лица Кирилл и Мефодий почитаются как святые, об истории русского литературного языка.

Заведующий секцией русского языка отделения славянских и финно-угорских исследований Делийского университета доктор Гириш Мунджал рассказал молодым индийцам о роли Кирилла и Мефодия для российской культуры, интересных особенностях русского языка, обратил внимание слушателей на близость русского языка и санскрита.

В преддверии Дня русского языка Г. Мунджал подробно остановился на возникновении современного русского литературного языка и роли, которую в этом процессе играло творчество А.С. Пушкина. Выступление вызвало живой отклик студентов и было продолжено многочисленными вопросами и беседой на затронутые темы.

По завершении встречи гости Русского дома получили возможность разучить и спеть песню на русском языке.

A meeting of Indian students dedicated to the Day of Slavic Literature and Culture was held at the Russian House in New Delhi.
The guests learned about the origins of Slavic writing, about why the real historical figures Cyril and Methodius are revered as saints, and about the history of the Russian literary language.

Dr. Girish Munjal, Head of the Russian Language Section of the Department of Slavic and Finno-Ugric Studies of the University of Delhi told young Indians about the role of Cyril and Methodius for Russian culture, interesting features of the Russian language, and drew the attention of the audience to the closeness of the Russian language and Sanskrit.

On the eve of the Day of the Russian Language, G. Munjal dwelled in detail on the emergence of the modern Russian literary language and the role that A.S. Pushkin has played. The presentation evoked a lively response from the students and was continued by numerous questions and discussions on the topics raised.

At the end of the meeting, the guests of the Russian House had the opportunity to learn a song in Russian and sing it.

В день рождения великого русского поэта Александра Пушкина (в 2023 году – 224 года) Русский дом в Индии отмечает День русского языка.

6 июня в 10:00 состоится возложение цветов к памятнику поэта по адресу Нью-Дели, Фироз Шах Роуд, 35.
В 10:30 в культурном центре (5 минут пешком) откроется выставка Государственного музея-заповедника А.С.Пушкина «Михайловское»: иллюстрации к роману в стихах «Евгений Онегин».

Затем в нашей библиотеке состоятся презентация о жизни и творчестве основателя современного русского языка и показ фильма о музее в Михайловском. Почитаем стихи и споем песни на слова русских поэтов. Пройдет лингвистическая викторина с вручением призов победителям.

On the birthday of the great Russian poet Alexander Pushkin (224 years in 2023), the Russian House in India celebrates Russian Language Day.
On June 6 at 10:00 a.m., flowers will be laid at the monument to the poet at 35 Firoz Shah Road, New Delhi.

At 10:30 in the cultural center (5 minutes on foot) the exhibition of the State Museum-Reserve of A.S. Pushkin "Mikhailovskoe" will open: illustrations for the novel in verse "Eugene Onegin".

Then our library will host a presentation about the life and work of the founder of the modern Russian language and a film about the museum in Mikhailovsky. We will read poems and sing songs to the words of Russian poets. There will be a linguistic quiz with prizes awarded to the winners.

St. Petersburg State University opens a distance general education school for foreigners

On September 1, 2023, St. Petersburg State University launches a full-fledged comprehensive online school. The training will be conducted according to general education programs (grades 5-10) with the issuance of a state-issued certificate.

Classes at the online school are free, and they will be conducted by experienced St. Petersburg teachers, including doctors and candidates of sciences.

Press release on new facts of global surveillance by the United States by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation
The Russian authorities have uncovered a new fact of the US special services using American IT companies for global surveillance of US and other countries’ citizens. In this instance, they used the software vulnerabilities of US-made smartphones.
This fact has conclusively proven what Moscow has been speaking about for a long time, namely, that the US intelligence services have been using IT giants for decades to collect internet users’ personal data without their knowledge. More evidence of this illegal activity comes to light every year.
Time and again, we addressed the concerned international platforms on the need to restore order and formulate the universal rules of conduct in the digital environment based on respect for the fundamental rights and freedoms of individuals and the sovereign equality of states. In January 2021, the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation adopted a statement on the violation of the freedom of speech principle by US global IT companies and on drafting an international convention to regulate their operations. Practice has shown that Washington is not ready to consider our proposals.
The United States has placed itself above the law. We have provided the UN with ample evidence of the double standards that country and its special services and companies have been using in the sphere of international information security (IIS).
We once again call on all the concerned parties to formulate clear and fair regulations in the digital sphere that would be binding for all states and especially ICT designers. This is the goal of the initiatives Russia has advanced within the framework of the UN Open-Ended Working Group on IIS, primarily on a relevant draft convention and a global register of contact points for the exchange of information about computer incidents. No state has a right to abuse its technological capabilities in a sensitive sphere such as access to the personal data of smartphone users.

New high-tech formats of additional education at the International Forum "Shaping the Future" will be presented by the head of Rossotrudnichestvo Evgeny Primakov. The event will take place from 7 to 9 June in Kazan.
The forum will be attended by delegations from Egypt, Senegal, Mali, Zimbabwe, CAR, Syria, UAE, Pakistan, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, Cuba, Venezuela, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan and other countries.
Russian specialists will share with their foreign colleagues successful practices on the formation of an educational space. The participants will also discuss work with young people, children's recreation, education of children with disabilities, teaching Russian abroad.
