🗓 Ежегодно 8 августа десять стран-членов Ассоциации государств Юго-Восточной Азии (#АСЕАН) отмечают День АСЕАН. Дата празднования была утверждена на ежегодном заседании Постоянного комитета Ассоциации в мае 2005 года.
🌏 АСЕАН была основана 8 августа 1967 года в Бангкоке Индонезией, Малайзией, Сингапуром, Таиландом и Филиппинами, подписавшими «Бангкокскую декларацию». Позднее к региональной организации присоединились Бруней (1984), Вьетнам (1995), Лаос и Мьянма (1997), Камбоджа (1999).
АСЕАН – одна из наиболее успешных региональных организаций, вокруг которой сформировалась сеть различных межгосударственных объединений с участием России и других ведущих мировых держав – Восточноазиатский саммит (#ВАС), Региональный форум АСЕАН по безопасности (#АРФ), Совещание министров обороны АСЕАН с диалоговыми партнёрами («СМОА плюс»).
☝️ Развитие связей с Ассоциацией входит в число приоритетов российской внешней политики на азиатском направлении. С 2017 года в Джакарте действует Постпредство России при АСЕАН, а в 2018 году российско-асеановские отношения вышли на уровень стратегического партнёрства. Результатом стало уплотнение координации с «десяткой» на ведущих многосторонних площадках, включая ООН, по актуальным глобальным и региональным проблемам.
🤝 26-27 июля во Вьентьяне в рамках ежегодных министерских мероприятий по линии АСЕАН С.В.Лавров принял участие во встречах глав внешнеполитических ведомств в форматах Россия-АСЕАН, Восточноазиатского саммита и Регионального форума АСЕАН по безопасности.

🕯 Сегодня – очередная годовщина трагических событий августа 2008 года на Южном Кавказе.
16 лет назад, в ночь с 7 на 8 августа, режим Саакашвили совершил вероломное нападение на Южную Осетию. Одновременно был предпринят штурм мест расположения российских миротворцев.
☝️ Действия грузинской стороны явились грубым нарушением международных договорённостей о мирном урегулировании грузино-югоосетинского конфликта. Их преднамеренный характер был запротоколирован в докладе созданной под эгидой Евросоюза Международной комиссии по расследованию причин конфликта на Кавказе.
▪️ Так называемая «операция по наведению конституционного порядка на территории Южной Осетии» привела к многочисленным жертвам, в том числе среди российских граждан.
Наша страна остановила преступное вторжение, проведя операцию по принуждению агрессора к миру, и обеспечила безопасность граждан Южной Осетии, а также Абхазии, признав обе республики независимыми государствами.

💬 Today we recollect the tragic events that happened in the South Caucasus 16 years ago. On the night of August 8, 2008, Mikhail Saakashvili’s regime breached all international agreements on peaceful settlement of the Georgian-Ossetian conflict and began a full-scale military operation against South Ossetia.
The unprovoked nature of the Georgian aggression was later officially confirmed, inter alia, in the report of the International Fact-Finding Mission on the Conflict in Georgia set up under the auspices of the European Union and headed by Swiss diplomat Heidi Tagliavini.
❗️ That criminal adventure by the ex-president of Georgia, which caused numerous victims among civil population and Russian peacekeepers of the Joint Peacekeeping Force, left Russia no choice but to conduct an operation to force the aggressor to peace and later to recognise Abkhazia and South Ossetia as independent states.
The decision to recognise them, which took into account Tbilisi’s repeated attempts to regain “lost” territories by force, ensured the right of Abkhazians and South Ossetians to preserve their national identity. Over the years, these republics have made extensive efforts to establish themselves as sovereign states, consistently developing their economy and culture and expanding their international contacts to enhance their standing in the world.
☝️ With a view to ensure lasting security for Abkhazia and South Ossetia, the Geneva International Discussions on Security and Stability in Transcaucasia were launched in October 2008. Largely due to this negotiating platform as well as the mechanisms for cooperation between the parties established under its auspices, it has been possible to maintain relative calm on the borders of the three states and to deal swiftly with the hotbeds of tension that arise there.
However, we believe that participants in the Discussions should make a greater effort to utilise their potential by starting first of all to work out an agreement on the non-use of force between Tbilisi, on the one hand, and Sukhum and Tskhinval, on the other. We regard the adoption of such legal obligations as a reliable guarantee against a repetition of the tragic events of August 2008. Launching of the Georgian-South Ossetian and Georgian-Abkhazian state borders delimitation with their subsequent demarcation should be an actual contribution to stabilising the situation in those border areas.
These objectives are becoming increasingly relevant as Washington and its allies are making more attempts to make use of inter-regional contradictions with an obvious purpose to heat the situation near Russian borders. Meanwhile, in their desire to annoy Russia, Westerners ignore the interests of the states in the region, jeopardising their safe and decent existence.
🤝 Russia is ready to continue interaction with those who by default cannot be indifferent to the destiny of the South Caucasus, including through all-round assistance in developing a dialogue between Tbilisi, Sukhum and Tskhinval with a view to establish enduring peace and resolve other long-standing problems in their common region.

🗓 Every year on August 8, the ten member countries of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (#ASEAN) mark ASEAN Day. This date was approved by the ASEAN Standing Committee at its annual meeting in May 2005.
🌏 ASEAN was founded in Bangkok on August 8, 1967, by Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, and the Philippines, which signed the so-called Bangkok Declaration. Later, this regional organisation was joined by Brunei (1984), Vietnam (1995), Laos and Myanmar (1997), and Cambodia (1999).
ASEAN is one of the most successful regional organisations. It has a broad network of various intergovernmental associations involving Russia and other leading world powers: the East Asia Summit (#EAS), ASEAN Regional Forum (#ARF), and ASEAN Defence Ministers Meeting-Plus (#ADMMPlus).
☝️ Promoting ties with ASEAN is Russia’s key foreign policy priority in Asia. The Russian Permanent Mission to ASEAN has been based in Jakarta since 2017. In 2018, Russia-ASEAN relations reached the level of strategic partnership, resulting in closer coordination on current global and regional issues with the ten member countries at leading multilateral venues, including the UN.
🤝 On July 26 and 27, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov attended annual ministerial events held by the Association of Southeast Asian Nations in Vientiane. He took part in Foreign Ministers’ meetings in the Russia-ASEAN format, as well as within the East Asia Summit and the ASEAN Regional Forum.

It was 16 years ago in the early hours of August 8, 2008, when the Saakashvili regime carried out its treacherous attack against South Ossetia, while also assaulting the dislocation of a Russian peacekeeping force.
☝️ By acting this way, Georgia committed a grave violation of international agreements on settling the Georgia-South Ossetia conflict by peaceful means. Established under the EU’s auspices, the Independent International Fact-Finding Mission on the Conflict in the Caucasus concluded that Georgia undertook these actions intentionally.
▪️ The so-called operation to restore the constitutional order in South Ossetia resulted in multiple casualties, including among Russian nationals.
Russia stopped this criminal intervention by undertaking a peace enforcement operation against the aggressor and ensuring security for the people of South Ossetia, as well as Abkhazia, by recognising the independence of these two republics.

The Parties confirmed their mutual intent to continue strengthening the overarching strategic partnership between Russia and Vietnam and expanding bilateral cooperation across different areas.
They expressed satisfaction with the progress in the implementation of the agreements reached after the Russian President’s state visit to Vietnam on June 20, and with the interactions between the two countries at the international stage, including in the light of Russia’s #BRICS Chairmanship.

⛴ Отряд кораблей Тихоокеанского флота в составе гвардейского ордена Нахимова ракетного крейсера (ГРКР) «Варяг» и фрегата «Маршал Шапошников» совершил деловой заход в порт Кочин.
🇷🇺 🤝🇮🇳 7 августа на борту фрегата Маршала Шапошникова, состоялся прием. В качестве главного гостя российский корабль посетил начальник штаба Южного военно-морского командования ВМС Индии контр-адмирал У.Кунду. На мероприятии присутствовали 30 индийских офицеров, в том числе женщины-военнослужащие.
🟣 Для российских моряков индийской стороной была организована культурная и экскурсионная программа, а также совместные спортивные мероприятия.
🟣 Дальний поход отряда кораблей Тихоокеанского флота начался 22 января текущего года. За это время моряки-тихоокеанцы провели десятки тренировок по боевой подготовке и организации повседневной деятельности кораблей в море. Также экипажи кораблей совершили деловые заходы в порты Шри-Ланки, Ирана, Катара и Эритреи.

⛴Two ship of the Russian Pacific Fleet, including the Guards missile cruiser "Varyag" and the frigate "Marshal Shaposhnikov", made a port call in Kochi.
🇷🇺 🤝 🇮🇳 On August 7, a reception was held aboard the Marshal Shaposhnikov. The chief guest was Rear Admiral U. Kundu, Chief of Staff of the Indian Navy's Southern Naval Command. 30 Indian officers, including female service members, attended the event.
🟣 The Indian side organized cultural excursions and joint sports activities for the Russian sailors.
🟣 The Pacific Fleet ships' long-distance voyage began on January 22 this year. During this time, the Pacific sailors conducted dozens of combat training exercises and routine activities at sea. The ship crews also made port calls in Sri Lanka, Iran, Qatar, and Eritrea.

📍Украина давно растоптала все свои международные обязательства в области свободы слова, доступа к информации и безопасности журналистов. Это происходит при молчаливом попустительстве профильных международных структур.
☝️В соответствии с резолюцией Генеральной конференции ЮНЕСКО 1997 г. и решением Исполнительного совета 2023 г. Гендиректор ЮНЕСКО обязана осуждать убийства и любое физическое насилие, направленное против журналистов, без каких-либо различий.
📢 Призываем О.Азуле выполнить свой мандат и осудить атаку на Е.Поддубного.

💬 Le régime criminel de Kiev continue de frapper les habitants innocents des villes et villages russes. Face aux échecs dans la zone de guerre, les néo-nazis ukrainiens commettent des actes terroristes sanglants contre la population civile [...]
▪️ Dans la nuit du 5 au 6 août, les forces armées ukrainiennes ont frappé le village de Soudja dans la région de Koursk. Cinq personnes ont été blessées, dont trois enfants, et plusieurs maisons d'habitation ont été endommagées.
▪️ Le 6 août, les forces armées ukrainiennes ont attaqué avec un drone un véhicule dans le district municipal de Graïvoron, dans la région de Belgorod. Un civil a été tué.
▪️ Les 6 et 7 août, les néonazis ukrainiens ont mené une attaque terroriste massive dans la région de Koursk, utilisant d'importantes forces d'infanterie et des véhicules blindés lourds. Vladimir Zelensky a envoyé des citoyens ukrainiens dans ce bourbier pour prolonger discrètement la mobilisation ukrainienne meurtrière de trois mois. Aujourd'hui, il a signé une loi respective.
Les forces armées russes ont apporté une réponse décisive à l'ennemi, qui a subi des pertes importantes. Dans le même temps, 24 civils de la région de Koursk, dont 6 enfants, auraient été blessés par les tirs d'obus des combattants ukrainiens. Une frappe de drone sur une ambulance a tué un secouriste et le chauffeur.
Avec leur attaque barbare dans la région de Koursk, les ukro-banderistes ont tenté de semer la panique parmi les habitants de la région et de montrer au moins un semblant d'activité dans le contexte des échecs constants des forces armées ukrainiennes dans la zone de conflit. Manifestement, même ici, les calculs des néonazis n'ont pas porté leurs fruits.
❗️Tous ces crimes sanglants se déroulent sur le fond du silence cynique de l'Occident, qui continue de couvrir ses marionnettes à Kiev. Tout cela ne fait que renforcer le sentiment d'impunité des néonazis ukrainiens, qui sont convaincus qu'ils peuvent s'en tirer avec n'importe quelle atrocité. Nous appelons la communauté internationale à ne pas rester les bras croisés et à condamner résolument les actions criminelles du régime de Kiev.

💬 Анализ текущей обстановки в дружественной Сербии свидетельствует о возобновлении попыток определённых злонамеренных сил активизировать хорошо известный разрушительный арсенал, чтобы расшатать внутриполитическую ситуацию в этой стране. Делается ставка на использование далёких от политики сюжетов в качестве предлога для провоцирования общественного недовольства с прицелом на подрыв стабильности и, в конечном счёте, дискредитацию законно избранной власти.
👉 Так, вполне естественную заботу граждан об окружающей среде, в частности, их взыскательное отношение к проектам добычи полезных ископаемых в интересах развития национальной экономики и повышения благосостояния народа некие псевдодемократические круги стремятся цинично, не считаясь с издержками и рисками, преобразовать в протестное движение. Аргументы, доводы и соображения целесообразности никого не беспокоят.
Речь идёт о печально известной схеме, которую на Балканах (и не только) многократно пускали в ход западные идеологи «площадной демократии» и их местные приспешники. Замысел состоит в том, чтобы, прикрываясь благими намерениями, через марионеточные СМИ и НПО разжечь в обществе негативные эмоции и развернуть их против руководства государства в расчёте на утрату властными структурами самообладания и контроля над ситуацией.
⚠️ Считаем подобную тактику деструктивной и безответственной. Злоупотребления такого рода, особенно в нынешних турбулентных условиях, несут в себе прямую угрозу Сербии, ставят под вопрос постоянные усилия её Президента и Правительства по обеспечению устойчивого развития страны и благополучия её граждан, мешают проведению независимого и принципиального курса как во внутренних делах, так и на международной арене.
