​​Министерство обороны России располагает сведениями о подготовке Соединенными Штатами Америки провокаций с целью обвинения российских Вооруженных Сил в применении химического, биологического или тактического ядерного оружия. Этот план уже разработан и является реакцией на успехи России в проведении специальной военной операции.

◽️ Только в марте-апреле текущего года высокопоставленные должностные лица западных стран на регулярной основе делают провокационные «предупреждающие» заявления. В СМИ вбрасываются тезисы о возможности применения Россией оружия массового поражения.

◽️ Так, помощник президента по нацбезопасности Салливан прокомментировал слова президента Байдена, что США «соответствующим образом» отреагируют на возможное использование нашей страной ОМП. А американский постоянный представитель при ООН Гринфилд 27 февраля заявила о намерении России использовать любые инструменты «под чужим флагом», включая химическое и биологическое оружие для запугивания украинского населения и мировой общественности.

◽️ На этом фоне Госдепартамент США положительно рассмотрел предварительно одобренную заместителем госсекретаря по контролю над вооружениями и международной безопасности Дженкинс передачу Украине до 400 тысяч комплектов средств индивидуальной защиты, 390 приборов РХБ разведки и 15 разведывательных машин «СТРАЙКЕР».

Comment of the Russian Embassy in Latvia regarding the decision of the city of Ogre authorities to dismantle five Soviet/Russian memorial sites:

“We are extremely outraged by the decision of the Ogre municipality to dismantle five Soviet memorials located on its territory. We are convinced that this undertaking has neither moral, nor historical, let alone legal grounds.

Any assault upon our memorial sites, regardless of justification, will be considered as a gross violation of Riga’s obligations under the Agreement between the Government of the Russian Federation and the Government of the Republic of Latvia dated April 30, 1994 on the issues of social protection of military pensioners and members of their families.

We would like to remind that Article 13 of the aforementioned document requires the Latvian authorities to ensure the care, improvement and safety of memorial sites and  mass graves of soldiers on the territory of the Republic.

Furthermore, in accordance with Article 15 of the intergovernmental agreement, Latvia is obliged to refrain from uncoordinated unilateral actions on issues regulated by this international instrument.

At the same time, the Embassy has not received any requests or notifications concerning the said memorial objects.

We sent a note to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Latvia with a demand to prevent these revanchist plans of the Ogre municipality and to ensure the strict implementation of existing bilateral international legal agreements.

We expect that common sense will still prevail and the Latvian authorities will not allow the implementation of this illegal and provocative initiative, which will undoubtedly lead to even greater division in the multinational Latvian society and stagnation of the dialogue between our countries".
