🤝 Traditional informal meeting of the leaders of the #CIS Member States took place on December 26

💬 President of Russia Vladimir Putin: This year the multifaceted interaction of our states has been developing successfully on the whole. This confirms the steady growth of trade among us and between Russia and all CIS countries.

The Commonwealth has been taking coordinated action to substitute imports, achieve technological sovereignty, and boost joint industrial production and research potential.

Maintaining security and stability in our common Eurasian region is another key aspect of cooperation within the CIS. Unfortunately, every year the challenges and threats in this area continue to grow.

Regrettably, we have to admit that disagreements among the CIS Member States also occur. Nevertheless, the most important thing is that we are ready to cooperate, and we will do so. Even if problems arise, we strive to resolve them ourselves, jointly, offering to each other help and assistance as allies and intermediaries.

I am confident that increasing the interaction within the CIS meets the fundamental interests of the peoples of our countries, helps deal with the goals of the social and economic development of the CIS countries more efficiently, and strengthens regional stability and security.

⚠️ Everything that we are now witnessing in Europe in its broadest sense and on other continents, where US “messengers” want every country to take an anti-Russia position, to join the sanctions and to keep from talking with Russian representatives reflects an attempt to establish the end of history and the final and irreversible dominance of the “golden billion". These vain attempts are anti-historical and are aimed at stopping and suppressing the objective formation of a multipolar world.

🔹 Many countries and politicians are aware of the dead-end nature of this kind of policy and the fact that there is no alternative to building neighbourly relations on this planet which implies taking into account each other's interests

🔹 Rest assured that in the near future, we will see a serious drop in the West’s ability to “steer” the global economy the way it pleases. Whether it wants it or not, it will have to sit down and talk.

🔹 We are not going to chase the West. They tore up most of our relationships. We do have other countries with which we can develop cooperation in the economy, social, cultural affairs and sports. We will deal with the countries that never failed us, the countries with which we managed to reach complex compromises, and when they were effectively reached, no one ever tried to cheat anyone. When it comes to the West, things are exactly the other way round.

✍️ The President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin signed an Executive Order on special economic measures in the fuel-and-energy sector in response to the price cap established on Russian oil and oil products by some foreign states.

⚠️ The Executive Order has established that in connection with the ban imposed by the United States, and other foreign countries that sided with them, on the transport of Russian oil and oil products and related services, which is applied if the price of Russian oil and oil products is above the limit established by said foreign states (price limit mechanism), Russia bans the sale of oil and oil products to foreign companies and individuals if the contracts on these sales include the use of this mechanism directly or indirectly. The established ban applies to all stages of sales up to and including the final buyer.

The ban on Russian oil sales established by the current Executive Order becomes valid on the day of its entry into force. Russian oil and oil product sales, that are banned by the Executive Order, may be carried out under a special decision of the President of the Russian Federation.

❗️ В связи с недружественными и противоречащими международному праву действиями Соединенных Штатов Америки и примкнувших к ним иностранных государств и международных организаций, направленными на установление предельной цены на российские нефть и нефтепродукты, в целях защиты национальных интересов Российской Федерации <...> на недружественные действия Соединенных Штатов Америки и иных иностранных государств» постановляю:

☝️ Установить, что в связи с введением Соединенными Штатами Америки и примкнувшими к ним иностранными государствами запрета на морские перевозки российских нефти и нефтепродуктов, оказание услуг, связанных с такими перевозками, который применяется в случае реализации российских нефти и нефтепродуктов по ценам выше предельной цены, установленной указанными иностранными государствами (механизм фиксации предельной цены), запрещаются поставки российских нефти и нефтепродуктов иностранным юридическим лицам и физическим лицам при условии, что в контрактах на эти поставки прямо или косвенно предусматривается использование механизма фиксации предельной цены. Установленный запрет применяется на всех этапах поставок до конечного покупателя...
