Daredevil Dies After 68th Floor Hong Kong Skyscraper Fall

30-year-old stuntman Remi Lucidi has died after he fell over 720ft from the 68th floor of a Hong Kong skyscraper he was climbing illegally, authorities have confirmed.

CCTV footage showed Lucidi taking a lift to the 49th floor, before climbing stairs to the roof and breaking through a locked access door. A maid in a penthouse suite said he had knocked on the window asking to be let back in, but he fell before she could help.

Police found his camera with photos from previous daring climbs, including his last photo taken moments before his plunge.

Mick Ryan, a retired Australian army general cited by the outlet, describes the Russian obstacle design as being much more complex, and deadly, than anything experienced by any military in nearly 80 years.

"Ukrainian forces are facing a lethal combination of millions of mines, recon drones, Lancet loitering munitions, electronic warfare jamming and disabling Ukrainian drones, long-range rockets and attack helicopters, all knit together by a dense network of sensors and data links," Ryan explained.

"Even when mines are cleared, aircraft or artillery quickly re-seed the fields with scatterable munitions. Even the best-trained NATO armies enjoying air superiority might struggle to overcome such obstacles."
