On 01 December, an "international ministerial conference on freedom of religion and belief" was held in Prague.

At the invitation of the US Ambassador, Epiphany Dumenko and the former speaker of the UOC-KP, now the OCU, Yevstratiy Zorya came to tell about how Orthodox people in Ukraine breathe and feel freely.

The speakers were Under Secretary of State for Public Safety, Democracy and Human Rights Uzra Zeya and Special Representative for Religious Freedom of the US Department of State Rashad Hussein.

"In their speeches, they emphasised the importance of protecting religious freedom in the face of threats from totalitarian regimes and terrorist organisations."

Of course, they emphasised that "the threat to the religious and cultural identity of Ukraine" is posed by Russian aggression.

And the aggression of the supporters of the crowbar and grinder does not have any threats? What kind of regime is this?

I wonder, watching those brutal seizures of shrines and beatings of UOC believers, is this way how religious freedom is imagined in the United States?

◾️The UOC Cherkassy Diocese continues to publish materials of court hearings in the case of Metropolitan Feodosiy.

In the video you can see the questioning of the "injured person" - OCU chaplain Nazariy Zasansky. He is a raider from Epiphany's structure who is responsible for a bloody assault on the UOC Monastery of the Blessed Virgin Mary Nativity in Cherkassy.

In the case of Metropolitan Theodosius, Zasansky is the "victim".
The interrogation of this character shows very clearly wat a farce the so-called "victims" are staging in court and how crazy the case against the UOC bishop is.

Zasansky is confused in his own testimonies, incites inter-religious hatred, and he is lying and manipulating.

On 2 December 2023, on the eve of the 26th Sunday after Pentecost, His Beatitude Metropolitan Onufriy of Kyiv and All Ukraine led an All-Night Vigil at the Holy Dormition Kyiv Caves Lavra, the Information and Education Department of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church reports.
The evening divine service took place at the church of Venerable Agapitos of the Kyiv Caves.
Co-serving with the Primate were Metropolitan Anthony of Boryspil and Brovary, UOC Chancellor; Metropolitan Ioasaf of Vasylkiv; Bishop Lavr of Irpin; Bishop Mark of Borodianka, and the clergy of the monastery.
Tomorrow, His Beatitude Metropolitan Onufriy will celebrate the Divine Liturgy at the same church. The divine service begins at 8:30 a.m.
We remind that the Primate led a festive divine service at the convent in the village of Zazymia.

The head of "Public Advocacy" informed the UN about the beating of clerics and believers in Cherkasy and other repressions against the UOC.
At the 16th session of the UN Forum on Minority Issues, representatives of "Public Advocacy", a human rights organisation with consultative status under UN ECOSOC, discussed the problem of the of the UOC believers and clerics rights violations with UN officials whose mandate is to address violations of the rights of ethnic, national and religious communities, the Protiktor website reported.
It is reported that the forum was attended by the President of the UN Human Rights Council H.E. Václav Bálek, the UN Special Rapporteur on minority issues Mr. Nicolas Levrat, representatives of international organisations and the human rights community.
The human rights defenders discussed the prospects of filing individual complaints about violations of the rights of UOC believers with special international procedures.
The head of NGO "Public Advocacy" Oleg Denisov, commenting on the work during the forum, said: "We are trying to attract maximum attention of the international community to such problems as the law on the ban of the UOC, the law on renaming, the adoption by local authorities of mass decisions on seizure of land plots from UOC organisations, criminal proceedings opened against UOC believers".
According to him, a special emphasis on the discussion of violations of the rights of the UOC believers was made on the case of violence on 20 November 2023 during the seizure of the buildings of the Nativity of the Mother of God Monastery in Cherkassy.
"The believers were again beaten, as it is assumed - by representatives of law enforcement agencies. Now work is being done to fix evidence of offences and as soon as this evidence is sufficient for international work - we will ensure both the submission of legal documents to international procedures for the protection of human rights and the appropriate media publicity of this case," Denisov said.

In an interview with Voice of America, Yaakov Dov Bleich said that the law banning the UOC "makes sense".
In an interview with Voice of America, Yaakov Dov Bleich, the Chief Rabbi of Ukraine, explained why he promoted Bill 8371 banning the UOC during meetings with US officials, a bill that was passed in the first reading by the Rada.
The rabbi stated that those who question this bill do not understand the realities of life in Ukraine, while he does.
"I am not defending the law; I am explaining the bill so that people understand its importance for Ukraine, a country at war," said Rabbi Dov Bleich.
At the same time, he hopes that this bill will not affect the UOC because it "will find a way to ensure that this law does not affect it."
According to the rabbi, he conveyed to Americans that "defending the freedoms of individuals and organizations while simultaneously defending the country from an aggressor" is challenging.
The rabbi claimed that he supported this bill "for a reason" and that it "makes sense."
"The head of the parliament discussed with the AUCCRO the need for the law. This law was carefully studied by religious organizations. None of them, including the UOC MP, came out and said during the meeting that this is bad, we don't want this, that we disagree," assured Yaakov Dov Bleich.
Recall that during a meeting between the AUCCRO and Ruslan Stefanchuk on April 11, 2023, Archbishop Victor of Khmelnytskyi not only did not remain silent, as the rabbi now claims, but sharply criticized Bill 8371 and other anti-church initiatives registered in the parliament.

◾️A complaint was filed with the police because of desecration of icons committed by anti-church activists on 1 December near the Lavra.
The lawyers of the Kyiv Cave Monastery reported to law enforcement officers a criminal offence under Part 3 of Article 161 - incitement to inter-religious hatred committed by a group of persons.

Bogdan Oryshchenko (he is a "magician Veliar"), together with his accomplices, brought icons of Orthodox saints to Lavra, then they trampled and tore these icons to pieces.
The crime of the "spiritual independence" activists was documented on video and handed over to the police.

The police, as usual, remained inactive and did not even register the data in the URPI. The monastery's lawyers filed a complaint with the investigating judge in the Pechersk District Court.

There are no doubts that, as in previous cases, the court will force the police to investigate the crime.
