Here is my quick take on the #Amsterdam events that took place after the football game of Ajax vs Maccabi Tel Aviv.

It seems like the anti-Arab chants and tearing down of Palestine flags by Maccabi Tel Aviv fans are confirmed to have taken place.
However, that doesn't change anything. Here is why:
The bad behaviour of some Maccabi football fans before the game cannot be used as a justification or an excuse for the violence that occurred after the game.
The two things are not even related.
This is evident, because the violence was not directed against the offending Maccabi fans who did the provoking and didn't occur before the game.
The violence came only after the game and was directed against people who were mostly unrelated to and uninvolved in the events before the game, but were simply Israelis and Jews who just happened to leave the stadium after the football game had finished, and who didn't 'provoke' anybody.

So, the 'it was provoked' argument is a red herring intended to distract from the apparently well prepared and organised violence against Israelis and Jews.
