Germany. Another attempt to sabotage by the Russians

An interesting article was written by the Polish online publication Wirtualna Polska about the failed attempt to poison the crew of a warship in Germany. I quote the article in full

"An attempt was made to contaminate the drinking water system on the German frigate Hesse. This is the third potential case of sabotage on a German warship in the last few weeks. The German daily Sueddeutsche Zeitung asks whether Russia is behind it.

The Hesse frigate is one of the flagships and pride of the German navy. The 143-metre-long ship was built in Emden between 2001 and 2005 and officially handed over to the navy in Wilhelmshaven on 21 April 2006, the Sueddeutsche Zeitung reminds.
Last year, the Hesse, with a crew of 240, took part in the Aspidus military mission off the coast of Yemen. For two months, the frigate had to protect commercial shipping in the Red Sea from constant attacks by Houthi militias. It coped with this task very well, at least in the opinion of the Ministry of Defence, writes SG.
But now Hesse has apparently become a target itself - and not by Houthi drones on the high seas, but probably by saboteurs. And this is in its home port, at the Heppenser Groden naval base in Wilhelmshaven, the newspaper reports.

According to a journalistic investigation by the Sueddeutsche Zeitung, the frigate was sabotaged on Thursday - unknown persons contaminated the frigate's drinking water system with dozens of litres of used oil.
An external company from Lower Saxony was commissioned to fill the fresh water tanks. Insiders rule out the possibility that the drinking water tanks were filled incorrectly by accident.

Luckily, an alert crew member quickly spotted the contamination, preventing the spread of contamination that would have led to the cleaning of all systems, which could have taken weeks, SZ reports.

The contractor did not want to comment on the case. The Wilhelmshaven police confirmed the incident: "We are conducting an investigation together with the Bundeswehr in connection with an incident involving a warship." The Ministry of Defence also reported a "possible security incident" in Wilhelmshaven, where the Hesse was undergoing routine maintenance. The ministry said that "the circumstances of the incident are currently being investigated by the relevant military and civilian investigative authorities".

Only a few days ago, the naval inspector, Vice Admiral Jan Christian Kaack, warned of Russian actions at sea - and targeted sabotage attacks on German warships, SZ recalls. - "I can only confirm that we have seen damage, i.e. sabotage, on more than one ship," he said.

Although there is no direct evidence of Russian involvement in the Hesse incident, the Sueddeutsche Zeitung suggests that it could be part of a broader strategy aimed at weakening the German navy. Previous attacks on other ships - the corvette Emden and a minesweeper - also raise suspicions of sabotage."

And now I will quickly prove that it was sabotage, because even a theoretical "accidental" contamination of the drinking water system with dozens of litres of used oil is virtually impossible, and in the real conditions of a naval base - practically excluded. Let me explain why:

Water is supplied either from trusted sources or through special purification systems.

Any deviations (smell, colour, consistency) are easily detected at the stage of supply.

Next. No accidental oil ingress

Used oil is a waste product that must be disposed of separately. Under normal circumstances, there is no way it can end up in the water system because

Water tanks do not use containers that could contain oil.

Even if we assume that there was a human factor involved and that some degenerate "accidentally" mixed up used oil with drinking water, it sounds like a joke - only a blind person would not see that oil and water have different densities, colours, smells and textures

And finally, about the "accident". According to the investigation, a contractor from Lower Saxony was responsible for filling the tanks. If it was a mistake, why did it happen on a military ship? Why hasn't a single incident on a civilian vessel been recorded anywhere? Let me remind you that there have already been sabotage attempts on other Bundeswehr vessels in Germany, which indicates targeted actions.

And yes, poisoning drinking water is one of the classic methods of disabling a military unit without an open attack.

Therefore, there are no buts or accidents, there is a deliberate sabotage on a German warship - the possibility that it all happened by itself or because of the stupidity of the staff who confused water with oil sounds unconvincing at least.

Воду постачають або з перевірених джерел, або через спеціальні системи очищення.

Будь-яке відхилення (запах, колір, консистенція) легко виявляється ще на стадії подачі.

Далі. Неможливість випадкового потрапляння оливи

Відпрацьована олива – це відходи, які утилізуються окремо. В нормальних умовах вона тупо ніяк не може опинитися у водяній системі, тому шо

В водяних резервуарах не використовуються ємності, які могли б містити оливу.

Навіть якщо припустити шо таки мав місце людський фактор і шо якийсь дегенерат «ненавмисне» переплутав відпрацьовану оливу з питною водою, це звучить як анекдот – лише сліпий не побачить шо олива і вода мають різну густину, колір, запах і консистенцію

І останнє, щодо «випадковості». Згідно з розслідуванням, підрядна компанія з Нижньої Саксонії відповідала за заповнення баків. Якщо це була помилка, то чому вона сталася саме на військовому кораблі? Чому жодного випадку на цивільному судні ніде не зафіксовано? Нагадую, що раніше в Німеччині вже були спроби саботажу на інших суднах Бундесверу, що вказує на цілеспрямовані дії.

І так, отруєння питної води – один з класичних методів виведення військового підрозділу з ладу без відкритого нападу.

Тому немає ніяких але чи випадкових випадків, є цілеспрямована диверсія на військовому кораблі Німеччини - імовірність того, що це все сталося само чи через тупість персоналу який переплутав воду з оливою, звучить мінімум непереконливо.

Министр иностранных дел Германии Анналена Бербок, комментируя недавние высказывания президента США Дональда Трампа о Владимире Зеленском и Украине, призвала усилить давление на Вашингтон.

Выступая на предвыборном мероприятии в Потсдаме, она подчеркнула необходимость нового “поворотного момента” (“Zeitenwende”) в отношениях с США, аналогичного тому, который произошел три года назад в ответ на действия россии в Украине. Бербок заявила:

“Zeitenwende” — это концепция фундаментального изменения в политическом и стратегическом курсе Германии, провозглашённая канцлером Олафом Шольцем 27 февраля 2022 года, через три дня после полномасштабного вторжения россии в Украину. Кроме того, концепция подразумевает пересмотр политики в отношении рф, в том числе прекращение тесных экономических и политических связей с москвой, а также оказание давления на рф через санкции и дипломатическую изоляцию.

Внешняя политика тоже изменилась, согласно концепции - Германия усилила сотрудничество с НАТО и странами Восточной Европы, такими как Польша и страны Балтии, и ведёт активные переговоры о создании европейской системы ПВО (инициатива European Sky Shield).

Почему Бербок говорит о «второй Zeitenwende”?

Причина проста - сейчас в Германии растут опасения, что возможное возвращение Трампа к власти в США ослабит поддержку Украины и поставит под угрозу европейскую безопасность. Бербок, призывает Европу

самостоятельно укреплять оборону, не надеясь полностью на США;

Entente 2.0, Israel and Trump. A little bit about what's going on

I'll start a little from afar, with a bit of history.

In 1956, relations between Israel and Egypt escalated dramatically. Egyptian President Gamal Abdel Nasser "nationalised" (occupied) the Suez Canal, which caused sharp resentment from Britain and France, as they controlled a significant part of the canal's revenues.

At the same time, Egypt increased pressure on Israel: blocking Israeli shipping through the Straits of Tiran, supporting Palestinian fedayeen attacks, and building up military forces with the support of the ssr.

During the same period, during the Suez Crisis of 1956, US officials expressed concern about Israel's military operation in the Sinai Peninsula and sought an early cessation of hostilities. President Dwight Eisenhower and Secretary of State John Foster Dulles strongly advocated a diplomatic resolution to the conflict and a return to the status quo.

The Eisenhower administration feared that support for Israeli military action could destabilise the region and increase Soviet influence among Arab countries. Under the Trilateral Declaration of 1950, the U.S., Britain, and France pledged to maintain the territorial status quo in the Middle East and to oppose an arms race in the region. As part of this policy, the US refrained from supplying arms to Israel for fear of escalating the conflict and worsening relations with the Arab states.

The U.S. did not give arms to Israel only because of the fear of war in the region. In the 1950s, Americans had a policy of containing conflict in the Middle East. President Eisenhower and Secretary of State John Foster Dulles feared that supplying arms to Israel would escalate the war with Egypt, which was supported by the ussr and Arab countries.

Washington wanted to preserve relations with the Arab countries - at the time the US was seeking to build influence among the Arab countries, including Saudi Arabia, Jordan and Iraq, to prevent them from aligning with the ussr. Direct support for Israel could lead to a deterioration of relations with the Arab world.

Also America believed that by doing so it was countering French and British influence - the US was unhappy that Britain and France, the former colonial powers, were trying to maintain their influence in the region.

Israel, which had made a secret alliance with London and Paris (the Sèvres Agreement), looked in Washington's eyes like an ally of the old European empires rather than an independent player.

It should not be forgotten that Washington did not want to drag the USSR into the Suez crisis (although there was nothing to be afraid of - the communists were arming the Arabs with the latest weapons and did not give a fuck):

Official Washington believed that open support for Israel could lead to direct intervention of the USSR in the conflict. Even then, the Soviet Union was actively arming Egypt, supplying it with the latest equipment, including T-34 tanks and MiG-15 aeroplanes

Eisenhower sought to isolate Israel from the Canal dispute for fear that mixing Israeli-Egyptian and Anglo-French-Egyptian conflicts would light a fire in the Middle East. So Dulles (the same one, ugh) denied Israel a voice in diplomatic conferences convened to resolve the crisis, and prevented Israel's complaints about Egyptian policy from being discussed during hearings at the United Nations.

In August and September, Eisenhower organised limited arms shipments from the United States, France and Canada in the hope of reducing the danger of the Israeli position and thus averting an Egyptian-Israeli war.

Only Israel ended up pulling off a military operation anyway, in conjunction with Britain and France, which resulted in the Egyptians getting pussyfooted. France actually turned out to be a saviour for Israel - it was France that sold the country the latest planes, despite the discontent of the USA

In fact, there was a conspiracy against Egypt: Israel agreed with London and Paris, started a military operation, then allies joined in and helped to solve the problem with the Suez Canal. The whole world was stupidly fucked up from the fact that, it turns out, it was possible to do so, and turned on political pressure on all participants of operations "Kadesh" and "Musketeer" respectively, and as a result in the UN demanded to withdraw troops from the territory of Egypt and sit down at the negotiating table

So after a successful military operation, things weren't quite right politically:

The pressure on Israel was bluntly brutal - on 8 November 1956, the Chairman of the USSR Council of Ministers, Nikolai Bulganin, explicitly threatened the Jewish state with war on behalf of the USSR government, while the United States made it clear that these threats left them quite indifferent and that the White House considered the presentation of these threats to the Israeli government as a natural result of the latter's own actions.The American side also notified Israel that if its government had any doubts about the true intentions of the Soviet Union, it could be assured that the United States would impose severe economic sanctions against Israel and, in particular, prohibit American Jews from transferring funds to Israel.

As historians write, documentary evidence of what went on that day in the Israeli cabinet shows a real panic mood of many ministers, up to outright hysteria after the information about the sudden appearance of six Soviet submarines in the port of Alexandria, the passage of five Soviet destroyers through the Dardanelles and Soviet combat squadrons sent to Syria via Turkey.

Yes, it was later discovered that all these reports were the result of deliberate disinformation on the part of Moscow and those forces which, out of self-interest or panic, were playing along with the Soviet bluff, but on 8 November the readiness of the USSR to go to war against Israel seemed real to many.

Ben-Gurion's sober mind and steely stamina enabled him to maintain a healthy scepticism about the prospects of a Soviet attack (and this despite the fact that he was surrounded by ministers, one of whom was pounding his fist on the table, shouting "Retreat! Retreat! Retreat!", while another smoked incessantly and bemoaned the stubbornness of his colleagues: "You grew up here in Eretz Yisrael, lost the halut fear that so often saved the Jews, and now you are playing games with death").

According to historians who have studied the events of that day, David Ben-Gurion was ready to ignore the threats addressed to Israel by Nikolai Bulganin, and the decision to announce the imminent withdrawal of Israeli troops from the territory of Sinai was led not by rumours about Soviet destroyers and squadrons, but the firm position of the USA, which showed that in case of another decision Israel would remain in a situation of permanent political conflict with the U.S.S.R. and the U.S.S.R., but no longer having the support of Great Britain and France, which announced their decision to stop the operation "Musketeer".

Due to the above mentioned British Prime Minister Anthony Eden was forced to leave his post already in January 1957. In France, his colleague Guy Mollet, a hero of the anti-Nazi Resistance, remained in power for another four months, but eventually he too had to leave.

Israeli losses in Operation "Kadesh" amounted to 177 killed, three missing, 817 wounded and one prisoner (he was shot down at Sharm al-Sheikh anti-aircraft fire pilot Yonatan Itkes). The British in Operation "Musketeer" had 13 killed and 91 wounded, the French - 10 killed and 33 wounded.

Israeli military trophies in the Sinai campaign were 79 Soviet and American tanks, 46 SU-100 and Archer self-propelled artillery units, 60 armoured personnel carriers, 25 British 25-pound howitzers, 110 anti-tank guns, 100 anti-aircraft guns, 200 Czech recoilless 82-mm guns, 18 heavy mortars, 220 light mortars, 290 machine guns, 550 hand-held machine guns, 260 anti-tank grenade launchers, 320 anti-tank rifles, 1,170 automatic rifles, 4,300 rifles, many hundreds of trucks and jeeps, about 200,000 artillery shells of various calibres, 115,000 mortar mines, about 50 million rounds of ammunition, and one destroyer. Some of these weapons and equipment were subsequently supplied to the IDF, while others were profitably sold to third countries.

But the canal itself remained under Egyptian control, and Israeli troops were forced to withdraw from Sinai. Such is the historical paradox

What is the point of all this? To the fact that the current statements of US politicians are now very similar to what Washington representatives said then, during the Suez crisis, and the situation itself has a lot of similarities with the position of Egypt, which bought weapons and declared that it would destroy Israel with them.

The world looked at it all through its fingers and persistently offered Israel to come to an agreement with those who did not hide their desire to destroy their country by buying weapons from the USSR.

Moreover, if we draw parallels with today's war, we were actually pressurised by China and the USA to withdraw troops from the Kursk region of Russia, that's how it looks like.

That's what I mean, we should learn history and draw conclusions not from our own mistakes, but from other people's - it's cheaper and safer that way

And here the trick is in what side to look at the situation, whether the glass is half empty or full:

Some people think that at that moment Israel betrayed the US, and some people remembered that number 1 is a bad number.

Some think that Trump today is Eisenhower 2.0, and some think that you have to rely on yourself, because politicians can always betray you.

And this is not an article about Trump betraying us, etc., nope. The article is about the fact that diplomacy in the modern world decides virtually everything - if Israel, Britain and France had not agreed on a joint military operation, who knows what would have happened in the end. If Israel's diplomacy had not pushed through the purchase of aeroplanes, it is quite possible that the current Israeli cities would have been one continuous viper hole, like Gaza.

The article is about how any country always puts the interests of its own state above those of its allies and partners. Nobody gives a shit when the moment comes to choose: even if they swore on each other's blood yesterday, the interests of their own country come first. That's the way it has always been, is and will always be, the world is cruel, full stop

Well and in the end briefly about the Entente 2.0 (yes, I know that there was a Russian in the composition, it's just for example the name), which, in my opinion, is beginning to emerge. To explain what is the Entente - I will not (google in the help).

Great Britain has not forgotten how it was humiliated during the Suez crisis, forcing it to withdraw its troops from Egypt + signed a 100-year treaty with Ukraine, which means they believe in Ukraine.

France - the same situation with Egypt + the factor of offence against rf, which took away France's colonies (put an anti-French government) in Africa, from which more than one generation of respectable people were fed

Spain - Basques, Catalonia. All the shapito with so-called independence of Basques is made for rubles since the times of the USSR + after the collapse of the Soviet Union it is supported by the Russian Federation.

Germany - Germans have a historical chance to pass the "honourable title" of Nazis and generally cum faggots of the whole planet Earth to Russians. That's why they help us, not because they suddenly became fans of Ukraine.

Total 5 countries from that very, old Europe, which is rotting and everything, have a grudge against Russia, and do not understand why this red-headed temporiser is constantly telling respectable people what to do and how to do it.

In fact, we still have the backbone of the Europe that was dreamed of in the ssr, except for Italy (I have not found any historical reasons why Italians should be initially hostile to rf).

Therefore, despite all the statements of Ilona and Ginger, I would not worry yet - the real Europe has not said its word yet. Because it is elementary easier for all the above mentioned countries to unite against rf and not to listen to the barking duo of comrade ilona.

However paradoxical it may sound, but old Europe was awakened not by rf, not by the war in Ukraine, not by Putin, but by the red-headed grandfather from America. With what I congratulate rf and congratulate - ancient, old families, which have taught katsaps to wipe their arses, know how to assess risks and tame even the most fucked up. And the redhead in just a month has shown them the direction from which there are always only problems

And they know how to solve problems, up to and including changing the government.

Therefore, despite the constant nonsense from the grandfather from the US, I think there will be no problems with weapons for Ukraine. The Russians will have problems. Big problems

Антанта 2.0, Израиль и Трамп. Немного о том, шо происходит

Начну немного издалека, с истории.

В 1956 году отношения между Израилем и Египтом резко обострились. Президент Египта Гамаль Абдель Насер «национализировал» (оккупировал) Суэцкий канал, что вызвало резкое недовольство Великобритании и Франции, поскольку они контролировали значительную часть доходов от канала.

Одновременно Египет усилил давление на Израиль: блокировал израильское судоходство через Тиранский пролив, поддерживал атаки палестинских федаинов и наращивал вооруженные силы при поддержке ссср.

В этот же период, во время Суэцкого кризиса 1956 года, официальные лица США выражали обеспокоенность по поводу военной операции Израиля на Синайском полуострове и стремились к скорейшему прекращению боевых действий. Президент Дуайт Эйзенхауэр и государственный секретарь Джон Фостер Даллес активно выступали за дипломатическое урегулирование конфликта и возвращение к статус-кво.

Администрация Эйзенхауэра опасалась, что поддержка военных действий Израиля может привести к дестабилизации региона и усилению влияния советского союза среди арабских стран. Согласно Трёхсторонней декларации 1950 года, США, Великобритания и Франция обязались поддерживать территориальный статус-кво на Ближнем Востоке и противодействовать гонке вооружений в регионе. В рамках этой политики США воздерживались от поставок оружия Израилю, опасаясь эскалации конфликта и ухудшения отношений с арабскими государствами.

США не давали оружие Израилю не только из-за опасения войны в регионе. В 1950-е годы американцы придерживались политики сдерживания конфликта на Ближнем Востоке. Президент Эйзенхауэр и государственный секретарь Джон Фостер Даллес опасались, что поставки оружия Израилю приведут к эскалации войны с Египтом, который поддерживали ссср и арабские страны.

Вашингтон хотел сохранить отношения с арабскими странами - на тот момент США стремились укреплять влияние среди арабских стран, в том числе Саудовской Аравии, Иордании и Ирака, чтобы не допустить их сближения с ссср. Прямая поддержка Израиля могла привести к ухудшению отношений с арабским миром.

Также Америка считала, шо таким образом она противодействует французскому и британскому влиянию - США были недовольны тем, что Великобритания и Франция, бывшие колониальные державы, пытались сохранить своё влияние в регионе.

Израиль, который заключил тайный союз с Лондоном и Парижем (Севрское соглашение), выглядел в глазах Вашингтона как союзник старых европейских империй, а не независимый игрок.

Не стоит забывать, что Вашингтон не хотел втягивать ссср в Суэцкий кризис (хотя хз чего там было бояться - коммунисты вооружали арабов новейшим вооружением и в хуй не дули):

официальный Вашингтон считал, шо открытая поддержка Израиля могла привести к прямому вмешательству ссср в конфликт. Уже тогда советский союз активно вооружал Египет, поставляя ему новейшую технику, включая танки Т-34 и самолёты МиГ-15

Эйзенхауэр стремился изолировать Израиль от спора по каналу из опасения, что смешение израильско-египетского и англо-франко-египетского конфликтов зажжет пожар на Ближнем Востоке. Поэтому Даллес (тот самый, угу) отказывал Израилю в праве голоса на дипломатических конференциях, созывавшихся, чтобы разрешить кризис, и не допускал обсуждение жалоб Израиля на египетскую политику во время слушаний в Организации Объединенных Наций.

В августе и сентябре, Эйзенхауэр организовал ограниченные поставки оружия из Соединенных Штатов, Франции и Канады в надежде на уменьшение опасности израильского положения и на предотвращение, таким образом, египетско-израильской войны.

Только Израиль в итоге все равно провернул военную операцию, совместно с Британией и Францией, в результате чего египтяне получили пизды. Франция вообще оказалась для Израиля фактически спасителем - именно она тогда продала стране новейшие самолеты, не смотря на недовольство США

Фактически имел место быть сговор против Египта: Израиль договорился с Лондоном и Парижем, начал военную операцию, после подключились союзники, которые помогли решит проблему с Суэцким каналом.
