Super excited to announce our INVITE-ONLY, on-site events. During our Hackathon this February, we will invite 6~10 teams that are looking to #buidl on #TON in a city that could be near you!

Our goal is to empower builders and developers in local communities to create innovative applications, services and protocols with The Open Network.
For the event, builders and developers will get a chance to meet and ask questions to a member of The TON Foundation and local TON developer specialist(s). The Q&A session will ensure that builders and developers are well equipped with knowledge about TON tools, incubation opportunities and building on TON mainnet.

The TON blockchain is now on CoinCodex.

Cryptocurrency data website CoinCodex has added a page for the TON blockchain to its site and listed the main TON-based tokens with the help of Tegro.

CoinCodex is a popular crypto data aggregator behind only CoinMarketCap and CoinGecko and has over 1.5 million monthly visitors.

Tegro didn’t stop at CoinCodex — it also got the TON blockchain and TON-based tokens listed on CoinCheckup and Coinpaprika.

​Toncoin options are live on cryptocurrency exchange BIT

Toncoin (TON) stands alongside Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH) as the third cryptocurrency available for options trading on Bit.com. This is a huge step forward for both the TON Ecosystem and wider cryptocurrency market. Also in the pipeline is for TON to be available on Paradigm, the institutional liquidity network for derivatives traders, making our token even more accessible to customers. This product launch has been made possible in collaboration with Darley Technologies and DWF Labs.

What is 'options trading'?

Options trading is a type of financial contract that gives owners the opportunity, but not the obligation, to buy or sell an asset at a prearranged price before a certain time. Options are a great way for crypto investors to manage their exposure and speculate on the future price of an asset with relatively low-risk.

What happens next?

In short, this sets the stage for TON to become one of the most actively traded digital tokens in the crypto options market. This is another use case for TON that significantly increases its accessibility to both institutional and retail traders. This new product offering, in combination with TON's innovative technology, positions TON for further success.

Fans of the TON #cryptocurrency now have a new way to trade their favorite altcoin following its addition to the options trading markets on the popular exchange platforms BIT and Paradigm.

The options are live on the platform today and will be available on the institution-focused liquidity network Paradigm later, the exchange said in a statement shared with CoinDesk.

The options are launched in collaboration with liquidity provider Darley Technologies and blockchain industry market maker and TON-backer DWF Labs.

"Joining the options market is a logical and important step for TON because, until now, the only coins available there were BTC and ETH. It means TON will take its place alongside crypto's most prestigious coins," said Andrei Grachev, Managing Partner at DWF Labs.

FTX and Alameda Research Collapse Sad Event but 'Good for the Long Run' Says DWF Labs Managing Partner

While the collapse of the crypto exchange FTX and its affiliate Alameda Research is thought to have left many crypto players, including market makers, in the worst possible position, according to Andrei Grachev, managing partner at DWF Labs, this incident may have helped to “flush out companies that were not sustainable enough to operate during a storm.”

As a result, the “market will be healthier” going forward.

The TON Foundation has updated its roadmap for 2023 and published a statement on the matter.

“TON Roadmap 2023

The roadmap for this year has been put together and published.

Over the last year, an ecosystem of various TON products has been rapidly built, ranging from decentralized exchanges and multifunctional wallets to marketplaces and blockchain games. Components of The Open Network were also launched including: TON DNS, TON Payments, TON Proxy, TON Sites, and TON Storage.

The first half of this year will be dedicated to harmonizing, improving and optimizing all of our current development projects to make TON as useful and convenient as possible for users.

The roadmap includes many TON improvements specifically designed to meet the needs of TON developers, providing them with the tools and resources they previously lacked.

TON is the only modern blockchain finding new, sometimes unexpected, ways to attract users. In the second half of the year, we aim to surpass all of our previous efforts with the goal of bringing even more users to TON.

Because we always try to solve the most pressing problems, and events are dynamically changing, Q3 and Q4 are not completely filled-in and additions will be made as our work progresses.

In technical terms, TON already surpasses all other existing blockchains by a large margin.

In order to confirm this, we have planned a show to demonstrate the real performance of TON and its ability to scale under heavy load.
