Artsiom Dubski, a former political prisoner and the brother of a political prisoner Ilya Dubski, who is serving his sentence at the moment, was arrested on May 11 in Minsk. Artsiom has lived in Poland since 2011, he came to Belarus to visit his family, MAYDAY team reports.

According to MAYDAY, the man was going out of a shopping center in Minsk together with his mom, sister and 2 nieces, when 6 men in masks ran to him, took his phone and started beating him. They put handcuffs on him and pushed him into a car. Dubski was taken to the KGB.

The KGB officers were asking him whether he worked for Polish specials services, for how long he had lived in Poland, and if he supported Belarusian opposition. The ‘interrogation’ lasted till 1:20 a.m., after which Dubski was released and summoned to the KGB on May 12.

When Dubski said that it was not necessary to beat him, the KGB officers said that he must thank them for not hurting his family. When Artsiom was moving from Minsk back home to Asipovichy, a black Volkswagen was following him. The car was standing near his house all night.
