RT @dszeligowski: Kremlin wants the West to believe that a Russian-Ukrainian compromise is within reach (is not). To convince the West that more weapons supplies to Ukraine would undermine the on-going negotiations (on the contrary). Do not get fooled. Each day of delay in arms deliveries matters

RT @charliearchy: If I had been in charge of the United States' top-secret anti-Slavic bioweapons program, I would have based it someplace like Oklahoma — where it could be guarded by US soldiers — and not in the most vulnerable parts of Ukraine.

But no one asks me these things 🤷‍♂️

RT @TRTWorldNow: Ukraine handed over nine captured Russian soldiers to ensure release of mayor of occupied Ukrainian city of Melitopol, a senior official says, adding Moscow's soldiers "were born in 2002 and 2003… these are actually children" https://twitter.com/TRTWorldNow/status/1504283419919986692/photo/1

RT @Charles_Lister: Another flagrant crime committed in #Putin’s name.

A reminder: in #Syria, the @UN provided #Russia with the coordinates of deconflicted hospitals (to keep them safe) & Russian jets then leveled them one by one.

And never faced a single consequence for doing so.

During the 2008 War, the commander of Russia's 58th Combined Arms Army, Lieutenant-General Anatoly Khrulev, had to use an embedded journalist's satellite phone to communicate with one of his units. Notable that this deficiency hasn't been fixed.

The 2008 War was supposed to be a wake up call for Russia that they had to reform their military and buy new equipment. They embarked on a 10-year state armaments program from 2011-2020 with substantially more funds (~19 trillion rubles for the MoD) allotted as a result. 2/

@leonidvolkov:

It will take the Russian military awhile to recover and reconstitute from this. Its losses are disproportionally in elite units and the Russian military already struggles to recruit contract servicemen.

More than 7,000 Russian troops have died since Russia's invasion of Ukraine began, according to American intelligence estimates. The number is greater than that of American troops who have been killed over 20 years in Iraq and Afghanistan combined. https://t.co/kaD3S9RABG

@DanLamothe:
It’s still unclear if Russia will attempt an amphibious landing on or near Odessa. Russia launched one amphibious landing farther east early in the landing, but it was small and on an uncontested shoreline, the senior defense official said.

@DanLamothe:
For the first time, the Pentagon assesses Wednesday that Russia is discussing sending “replacement troops” to backfill for combat losses. It sees no indications yet that any have moved yet, the senior defense official said. Open-source reports suggest that some already may have.

More than 980 Russian missiles have been launched since the war begin, the senior defense official says. That number continues to climb by several dozen per day.

No appreciable change in how much Ukraine and Russia are flying in the war, senior defense official says.

To date, Ukraine is flying a handful of sorties per day and Russia has been flying about 200, though some do not cross into Ukrainian airspace.
