Today Telegram turns 11🎂

Pavel Durov, who set out with the idea of starting ‘a new era of messaging’ by bringing a new alternative to the messaging applications market, launched Telegram, which has almost one billion users today with the iOS version released exactly1️⃣1️⃣ years ago.

With the iOS version released on 13 August 2013 and the Android version released in October of the same year, secure, private and quality messaging became possible for everyone for free.

The CEO and founder of Telegram was arrested at the France-Paris airport.

According to the reports and information published by TF1 -the local French news base- Pavel Durov, who was on the wanted list of the French government, was arrested at the Paris airport after finishing his trip and leaving Azerbaijan.

It is said that the reason for his arrest is the failure to cooperate with the French government in sending user data and not censoring pornographic media, child abuse, etc. More details have not been released by official sources yet.

The Telegram community tries to show their support for Pavel Durov by using the hashtag #FREEDUROV.

⚖️ The result of Durov's preliminary trial was determined; Parole and no right to leave France

After holding the initial court session to deal with 12 rows of charges against Pavel Durov, CEO and founder of Telegram, 6 criminal charges (including managing the online platform to commit illegal transactions) were brought against him.

However, Pavel Durov has been released on bail of 5 million euros, although he cannot leave France and must be present at the police station twice a week.

This process will continue until the completion of the investigation to deal with the case.
