#Khan al-#Safarjalani… Tourist Attractions in #Damascus Old City 🫶 🌹 😍
Its magic takes you on an epic historical journey through time. It is “#Khan al-#Safarjalani” or “al- #Safarjalaniya”, which is nestled in middle of the ruins of the #Damascus Old City with its commercial fabric that is rich in markets and #khans.
The #khan is located inside the wall of the Old City in the ancient Goldsmiths Souq (market) on the avenue connecting the #Umayyad #Mosque from the southwest to al-Buzurieh market and al-#Azem #Palace.
The #architectural style of the #Khan was famous in the Levant and known as al-#Ablaq (an architectural technique involving alternating or fluctuating rows of light and dark stone.) All kinds of various goods were sold in it not long ago.
