Foreign Ministry: Syria condemns in the strongest terms the US administration and the so-called Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) affiliated to Department of Commerce which target the health sector in Syria again, by imposing additional restrictions on allowing the sale of equipment as well as on the provision of services, spare parts to a large number of Syrian public and private hospitals.

Foreign Ministry: The new US inhumane measures fall within the context of the illegal unilateral coercive measures and the illegal and immoral siege imposed by the US on the Syrian people.

Foreign Ministry: Targeting hospitals that provide health care to millions of Syrians, including Children’s University Hospital, necessitates urgent action by the UN, the WHO and ICRC to put an end to these hostile practices, which represent collective punishment for the Syrian people.
