#Nebenzia: While the US shut down military-purpose biological research on its territory due to high risks it posed to its population, the Ukraine authorities actually agreed to turn their country into a biological testing site & have their citizens used as potential test subjects.
All those years, there was a site for biological tests at the EU doorstep. We call to think of a real biological threat to the population of the EU states that may be posed by uncontrolled spread of bioagents from Ukraine. Should this be the case, it will encompass the entire Europe.

#Nebenzia: Let me ask my American colleague, who mentioned 13,000 people killed in #Donbas. Was it Russia who killed them? Don’t you know who most of those people were? Most of them were the victims on the part of Donetrsk and Lugansk.
My American colleague also mentioned the death of journalist Brent Reno in Irpen – allegedly at the hands of Russian forces. We regret all human losses, but let me make two clarifications. Firstly, he was not a New York Times journalist. The NYT refuted this information right away. There is word on the Internet that journalism and filmmaking were far from being his priorities. As I said, this is open-sourced info. Secondly, the situation in Irpen is controlled by Ukrainian Armed Forces and territorial defense units. According to Brent Reno’s colleague who survived that incident, it were them who fired at their vehicle.

🎙 Statement by Permanent Representative of Russia to the United Nations Vassily #Nebenzia at #UN Security Council open debate "Conflict and food security"
🔸 Present-day political culture of Western states is best characterized by a striving to blame Russia for everything. After we started a special military operation in Ukraine, the allegations against Moscow have made a “quantum leap”. Among them, allegations related to food security assumed a leading role.
🔸 We regret that our colleagues, Western #UNSC members, did not have enough courage to comment on the root causes of food and other crises in such states as Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, Syria.
🔸 Truth is that you got too carried away by your fruitless efforts to “break the backbone” of Russian economy and isolate our country at any cost. What I am speaking about is that in your proxy war with Russia in Ukraine, you are literally holding the whole developing world as hostage, driving it towards famine. Whatever you may be saying, it is you and only you who can change this.
❗️ Nevertheless, let me assure you that Russia remains a responsible supplier of both food and energy.
👉 I will appreciate if our Western colleagues, first of all the United States and the European Union, today publicly refute this “food for weapons” version which many experts stick to. Also, I invite them to explain how these deliveries actually contribute to global food security that you claim to be so concerned about.

🎙 Statement by Russia's Permanent Representative Vassily #Nebenzia at UNSC briefing on Ukraine. October 21, 2022
🔹 Eight years of bitter experience of the people Donbass have shown us what the Kiev regime is capable of, a decision was made to cool down the belligerent ardor of Kiev’s brazen terrorists.
🔹 As reported by the Donbass republics, from February to October bombardments by Ukrainian heavy weaponry damaged more than 10,000 housings and more than 2,000 facilities of civilian infrastructure, including 424 education and 109 medical facilities in the DPR and LPR-controlled areas. American HIMARS systems were actively used in those attacks.
🔹 Western states gave a carte blanche to Zelensky’s regime to commit whatever crimes, and so Kiev is consistently targeting the civilian infrastructure of its former territories.
