The way the Western leaders, politicians and media have responded to the news of Alexei Navalny's death has once again revealed their hypocrisy, cynicism and lack of principles. This is the “blame Russia first” approach in action. With a prepped script ready for every situation.
Let's look at the timeline. 👇
Today at approximately 2:19 pm, the website operated by the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia for the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Area reported the death of convict Alexey Navalny in Prison Colony No. 3.
Literally 15 minutes later, a flurry of carbon-copy accusations poured in:
- 2:35 pm, Tobias Billström: “Terrible news about Navalny. If the information about his death in a Russian prison is confirmed, it will be another heinous crime by Putin's regime”;
- 2:35 pm, Barth Eide: “I’m deeply saddened by the news of Navalny's death. The Russian government bears a heavy burden of responsibility for this”;
- 2:41 pm, Edgars Rinkevics: “Whatever your thoughts about Alexei Navalny as a politician, he was just brutally murdered by the Kremlin. That's a fact and that is something one should know about the true nature of Russia's current regime”;
- 2:50 pm, Jan Lipavsky: “Russia still treats foreign policy issues the same way it treats its citizens. It has turned into a violent state that kills people who dream of a beautiful, better future, such as Nemtsov and now Navalny, who was imprisoned and tortured to death”;
- 2:51 pm, Stéphane Séjourné: “Navalny paid with his life to fight against a system of oppression. His death in a penal colony reminds us of the realities of Vladimir Putin's regime”;
- 3:02 pm, Charles Michel: “The EU holds the Russian regime solely responsible for this tragic death”;
- 3:10 pm Kiev regime kingpin Zelensky: “Clearly, he was killed by Putin, like thousands of others who were tortured to death”;
- 3:16 pm (media), 4:50 pm (social media), Jens Stoltenberg: “We need to establish all the facts, and Russia needs to answer all the questions”;
- 3:20 pm, Mark Rutte: “Navalny's death once again bears witness to the immense brutality of the Russian regime”;
- 3:30 pm, Maia Sandu: “Navalny's death in a Russian prison is a reminder of the regime's egregious suppression of dissent”;
- 3:35 pm, Annalena Baerbock: “Like no one else, Alexei Navalny was a symbol for a free and democratic Russia. That is precisely the reason he had to die”;
- 3:43 pm, Ursula von der Leyen: “A grim reminder of what Putin and his regime are all about”;
- 3:49 pm, Ulf Kristersson: “The Russian authorities, and President Putin personally, are responsible for Alexei Navalny no longer being alive”;
- 3:14 pm, Olaf Scholz: “He has now paid for this courage with his life. This terrible news demonstrates once again how Russia has changed and what kind of regime is in power in Moscow”;
- 3:25 pm, Antony Blinken: “Beyond that, his death in a Russian prison and the fixation and fear of one man only underscores the weakness and rot at the heart of the system that Putin has built. Russia bears responsibility for this”;
- 5:28 pm, Emmanuel Macron: “In today's Russia, free spirits are put in the Gulag and sentenced to death”;
Within a short period of time, two hours as a matter of fact (starting at 2:19 pm), Western politicians and their subordinate media managed, it appears, to get the results of a forensic examination that has yet to take place, to investigate, to indict Moscow and to render a verdict.
There is no explanation other than to assume these responses were prepared in advance.
Perhaps we could believe this unbelievable, seemingly miraculous swiftness had the whole world not witnessed the months-long, toothless “investigation” into the terrorist attacks on the Nord Stream pipelines, which fizzled out eventually.
What distinguishes all these statements is the glaring absence of even a suggestion of perhaps... waiting until the results of a forensic examination and investigation are available.

📅 Today outstanding Russian diplomat Vitaly Churkin would have turned 72.
He devoted his life to defending our country’s interests on the global stage, navigating a storied career path from the translation department of the USSR Ministry of Foreign Affairs to Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation. Over the years, he headed our country’s diplomatic missions in Chile, Belgium and Canada. He successfully conducted challenging negotiations within the Arctic Council on cooperation in the Arctic.
🎙In 1991-92, Vitaly Churkin served as Head of the Information Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the USSR, then the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia. He pioneered the practice of conducting regular open briefings for foreign journalists, marking a historic milestone in Russian diplomatic communication.
As a special Presidential representative in the Balkans, Churkin made a significant contribution to the settlement of conflicts in the former Yugoslavia. Notably, he served as a mediator in negotiations that stopped the NATO airstrikes and proposed the deployment of Russian military units to Sarajevo, which later formed a UN battalion.
🇺🇳The high point of Churkin’s diplomatic career was his tenure as Russia’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, a post he held for 11 years. Renowned for his extensive knowledge and adept humour, Churkin fostered and sustained good relations with his colleagues from other countries.
✍️ Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov in his foreword to Vitaly Churkin’s memoirs, Lost in Translation: Vitaly Churkin was respected even by those foreign partners who did not always share Russia’s approaches to the key problems of our time. For example, one US Ambassador to the United Nations referred to him as “formidable as a foe, caring as a friend and fierce as a defender of Russia, the country he adored and strived to make proud.”

It became clear that relying on just one centre of economic power is not a viable approach and most recently the G20 has engaged in a dialogue to reform and to restore the functionality of global economic institutions.
The positive dynamics of this forum are largely attributable to the fact that emerging markets are acting independently and insisting on fair consideration of their interests.
☝️ It is important for the G20 countries to commit to not weaponise the economy and to not engage in unfair competition.
#BRICS
🌐 Strengthening the potential and role of BRICS in international affairs is our priority.
BRICS members represent different economic and political systems, religions, and macro-regions and are able to work together as equal partners. Its international standing is steadily growing.
#Ukraine
❗️The root causes of the Ukraine crisis need to be eliminated if we want to achieve a sustainable and fair settlement. The West must stop supplying weapons to Ukraine, and Kiev must stop hostilities.
Ukraine should reinstate its neutral, non-aligned, and non-nuclear status and ensure the rights and freedoms of its citizens. It is critical that the basis be the new territorial realities and the situation on the ground.
#RussiaUS
👉 The ruling elite of the US views Russia as an adversary and a threat regardless of its party affiliation. The former president did nothing to improve Russia-US relations during his four-year stint in the White House.
We have no illusions and do not expect the anti-Russian course of the US to change in the foreseeable future. We are prepared to work with any leader who wins the American people’s trust. What matters to us is not specific political figures, but their policies towards Russia. President Putin made that clear recently in his televised interview.

⚡️Putin: Russia Always Firmly Against Nukes In Space
Moscow has no plans to deploy nuclear weapons in space - contrary to claims made from Washington in February, Russian Defence Minister Shoigu said.
"We don't have anything like this. They [the West] know that we don't, but still they are making a fuss about it," he added.

📺❗️The 🇺🇦Kiev regime is full of worship for nationalist leaders Stepan Bandera and Roman Shukhevich, and has been methodically implementing their anti-human plans targeting the residents of Donbass and southeastern Ukraine since 2014.
At the same time, the 🇺🇦Ukrainian authorities have been systematically demolishing the monuments of WWII heroes, as in the case of the Commander of the First Ukrainian Front General Nikolay Vatutin, who liberated Kiev in November 1943.

❗️🗓 This February marks 10 years since what turned out to be a turning point in the Euromaidan wave of unrest in 🇺🇦Kiev.
On these days back in 2014, the ostensibly peaceful anti-government demonstrations devolved into massive violence.
We invite you to recall those tragic events and get acquainted with the online exhibition Euromaidan: Essence And Consequences of the 2013-2014 Anti-Constitutional Coup D'état in Ukraine, prepared by the Foundation for the Study for Democracy.

🎦The RT documentary "Operation Ukraine: Crime without Punishment" contains the facts of mass crimes committed by the Kiev regime after the bloody coup of 2014.
❌Western organisations and media keep ignoring violent acts of Ukrainian Neo-Nazis who have never considered the people of Donbass as human beings.
💬‘I say from the military point of view: there was no point in torturing. It was just a pleasure, an amusement. A sadistic pleasure in the torture of a man.’ says Vladimir Novikov, commander of the ‘Troy’ special forces unit, who saw the most horrific torture in the videos from the phones of the captured Ukrainian nationalists in 2014-2015.

🇺🇦 Ukrainian neo-Nazis.
This is what the West doesn't want you to see.
This is a video back from 2015, one year after the Western sponsored coup in Ukraine brought outright neo-Nazis to power.
The residents of Avdeevka are protesting against Ukrainian Nazis who are opening up military bases next to their shopping centers and then shelling Donetsk civilians with artillery.
"We are sick of the Ukrainian fascists who surrounded our Avdeevka! They are killing us!
They are trying to open up a military base right next to the shopping centre!
90% of us want to be a part of the Donetsk People's Republic!"
Where do you think these people are now?
What do you think the Ukrainian regime and their pocket neo-Nazis have done to them for 10 years before the Russians finally started the special military operation and freed the city?

⚡️Ten years ago, the streets of Kiev witnessed a real massacre with the use of firearms which led to further escalation of "#Euromaidan" riots and the bloody anti-constitutional coup.
📚Read the following excerpts from the monography "History of Ukraine" describing how the coup happened.
✍️"On 21 February the Presidential Administration signed the Agreement on Resolving the Crisis in #Ukraine. <...>
After signing of the agreement, the security forces left the Kiev downtown. However, on the evening of February 22, in violation of its clauses, the Euromaidan militants — the Right Sector and the Maidan self-defense occupied government buildings. <...>
The next day, the Verkhovna Rada adopted an illegal decision to remove the Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych. On 22 February 2014 there was no impeachment procedure at all, and the number of deputies who voted for it — 328, according to the Constitution of Ukraine, was not enough to make a decision, which requires 338 people.
On 23 February Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Alexander Turchinov signed a resolution on assuming the duties of the President.
An anti-constitutional coup in Ukraine was carried out."
