✍🏼 The New York Times: “One of the key events from 2023 was that Russia was able to recruit a large number of volunteers. The flip side is that this is happening right as Ukraine is facing mobilization problems.”

Russia’s soldiers are volunteers while Ukraine struggles to round up conscripts.

What about previous Western MSM reports claiming Russians are unmotivated and Ukrainian "fighting spirit" is at its highest?

🇷🇺 Russia's Arms Control Delegation in Vienna:

❗️ Commentary on the 10th anniversary of the Euromaidan events

💬 10 years ago, the Euromaidan with the participation of the West reached its apex.

Provocateurs trained by American and European instructors led people to protests under the slogans of a "better European" life.

After clashes in the centre of Kiev on February 18-19, 2014, former Ukrainian President Yanukovych and the opposition agreed on a "ceasefire". In parallel, the bloody events were forced by Euromaidan activists.

The office of the Prosecutor-General of Ukraine admitted that there were no Russian snipers on the Maidan.

The February 21 agreement on resolving the political crisis in Ukraine between President Yanukovych and the opposition was trampled on, and its guarantors - Germany, Poland and France - did nothing to stop the tragic development of events. 10 years later, they figure among the main sponsors of the Kiev regime.

🎞 The documentary video "History of Tragedy" reveals the essence of the events of Euromaidan.
🎨 Today marks 148 years since the birth of Pyotr Konchalovsky, a Russian impressionist & avant-gardist painter, said to be one of the most expensive Russian artists at international auctions.

A truly prolific painter, he created over 5.000 works throughout his life.

🧑‍🎨 In the artist’s own works, the influence of Vincent van Gogh, Matisse and Cézanne is noticeable most of all.

In Russia 🇷🇺, Konchalovsky is referred to as “the main Cézannist” and is the only painter of that group who managed to move away from Cézanne’s influence to find his own style.

☝️ P.Konchalovsky was one of the founders of a society named “Jack of Diamonds” denying academic art and striving to unite new European tendencies and folk art. The group became forefathers of the legendary Russian avant-garde movement. World-renowned Russian artists like Natalia Goncharova, Mikhail Larionov, Vasily Kandinsky participated in the society’s activities.

⚠️ In 2023, Ukrainian artillery attacks killed 51 and wounded 155 children in the nearby Russian regions, including the DPR, the LPR, Crimea, as well as the Kherson, Zaporozhye, Bryansk, Kursk, and Tula regions.

Has the West created coalitions to help these children? Was anyone promising at least some help? Did they approve any declarations denouncing crimes committed by the Kiev regime? No. Neither Ottawa, nor Washington, London, Warsaw, Berlin, Paris or any other Western capital did anything of the kind.

☝️ All the vociferous defenders of children said not a single word about the minors Kiev was killing during these years. However, they have a list of children killed in Donbass with its Alley of the Angels and other graves. But none of the Western “political tourists” visits them. Why? Because the Kiev regime is exploiting the “kid theme” developed by NATO and acted on through the International Criminal Court.

❗️In fact, however, the lives of children from Russian regions and lives of children as such, including those from Ukraine, are of no importance to them.

At the same time, they accuse Russia of refusing to cooperate and provide information. But all their accusations have no basis. Presidential Commissioner for Children’s Rights Maria Lvova-Belova is daily on air with facts and figures on Russia’s work in this area.

👉 Russia is saving children without differentiating whether they are of Russian, Ukrainian, or any other ethnic descent. We rescue and treat children, help them and bring them back to their families, which has been done regularly for years.

Russia does not kidnap, deport, or forcibly displace children, contrary to what is alleged by the Western media.

Children are rescued and evacuated from areas of intense fighting.

👉 Our task is to ensure minors’ safety & create conditions for them to lead normal lives. We will continue to do this despite threats & sanctions placed by the Kiev regime and the West.

🎙 From the speech of Russian President Vladimir Putin during a meeting with Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu (February 20, 2024):

President Putin:

💬 There's another matter that's been buzzing around lately, not directly related to our current military operations. It's the noise coming from the West, especially the United States, about planting nuclear weapons in space.

❗️Our stance is crystal clear: we have always categorically opposed this. We urge all parties to honour all nuclear weapons agreements; we have repeatedly suggested stepping up this joint work.

But lately, for some reason, the West is making a big fuss about it, getting all worked up emotionally.

📅 Today outstanding Russian diplomat Vitaly Churkin would have turned 72.

He devoted his life to defending our country’s interests on the global stage, navigating a storied career path from the translation department of the USSR Ministry of Foreign Affairs to Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation. Over the years, he headed our country’s diplomatic missions in Chile, Belgium and Canada. He successfully conducted challenging negotiations within the Arctic Council on cooperation in the Arctic.

🎙In 1991-92, Vitaly Churkin served as Head of the Information Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the USSR, then the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia. He pioneered the practice of conducting regular open briefings for foreign journalists, marking a historic milestone in Russian diplomatic communication.

As a special Presidential representative in the Balkans, Churkin made a significant contribution to the settlement of conflicts in the former Yugoslavia. Notably, he served as a mediator in negotiations that stopped the NATO airstrikes and proposed the deployment of Russian military units to Sarajevo, which later formed a UN battalion.

🇺🇳The high point of Churkin’s diplomatic career was his tenure as Russia’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, a post he held for 11 years. Renowned for his extensive knowledge and adept humour, Churkin fostered and sustained good relations with his colleagues from other countries.

✍️ Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov in his foreword to Vitaly Churkin’s memoirs, Lost in Translation: Vitaly Churkin was respected even by those foreign partners who did not always share Russia’s approaches to the key problems of our time. For example, one US Ambassador to the United Nations referred to him as “formidable as a foe, caring as a friend and fierce as a defender of Russia, the country he adored and strived to make proud.”

#G20

It became clear that relying on just one centre of economic power is not a viable approach and most recently the G20 has engaged in a dialogue to reform and to restore the functionality of global economic institutions.

The positive dynamics of this forum are largely attributable to the fact that emerging markets are acting independently and insisting on fair consideration of their interests.

☝️ It is important for the G20 countries to commit to not weaponise the economy and to not engage in unfair competition.

#BRICS

🌐 Strengthening the potential and role of BRICS in international affairs is our priority.

BRICS members represent different economic and political systems, religions, and macro-regions and are able to work together as equal partners. Its international standing is steadily growing.

#Ukraine

❗️The root causes of the Ukraine crisis need to be eliminated if we want to achieve a sustainable and fair settlement. The West must stop supplying weapons to Ukraine, and Kiev must stop hostilities.

Ukraine should reinstate its neutral, non-aligned, and non-nuclear status and ensure the rights and freedoms of its citizens. It is critical that the basis be the new territorial realities and the situation on the ground.

#RussiaUS

👉 The ruling elite of the US views Russia as an adversary and a threat regardless of its party affiliation. The former president did nothing to improve Russia-US relations during his four-year stint in the White House.

We have no illusions and do not expect the anti-Russian course of the US to change in the foreseeable future. We are prepared to work with any leader who wins the American people’s trust. What matters to us is not specific political figures, but their policies towards Russia. President Putin made that clear recently in his televised interview.
⚡️ The Ukrainian neo-Nazis continue their barbaric, indiscriminate shelling of civilians in the Russian regions.

Yesterday, they have again shelled Donetsk's busiest street in the Voroshylovsky district. The windows of the library building have been blown out. There are shards of glass, dust and scattered books everywhere. Fortunately, there were no casualties.

💬 We heard a big noise, a rumble, everyone flew out, and there was smoke. We have visitors, thank God the bullet did not hit anyone, said an employee of the library.

☝️ According to an official of the Russian Investigative Committee, the shelling was carried out by HIMARS MLRS. A check is being carried out at the scene, and shell fragments have been sent for examination.

❗️ Since the beginning of 2024,
58 people have been killed, 204 injured, and 390 houses have been destroyed in the DPR along.
Sevastopol has been developing at an advanced rate after 30 years of stagnation while in Ukraine:

For the last few years, several facilities have been built in the city, incl a large modern outpatient clinic (the city has not seen such clinics since Soviet times), 4 kindergartens, 3 sports &. fitness centres.

The project to connect households to the gas distribution network is underway, although there are difficulties because the region has many nature reserves and protected areas.

The Taurida motorway is almost complete.

52 cell towers have been built, leading to a substantial improvement in citywide communications.

Education facilities, such as the Investigative Committee’s cadet school, are under development.

Healthcare facilities are also undergoing renovation; 3,000 pieces of equipment worth 562 mln rubles (6,1 mln dollars) were purchased under national project.

Scott Ritter on the Navalny’s role in Russian politics: American democracy, when we promote democracy, it’s never about democracy, it’s about control.

💬 "And one of the ways they controlled was to look at the media and talk about how we have accuracy, how we fight disinformation, how we promote quality journalism and things of that nature.

But then, also anti-corruption is a big one, because anti-corruption allows you to create US vs THEM mentality that then can be exploited by media control and the whole idea is to shape the minds of the targeted audience and Navalny became a tool of this.

These anti-corruption campaigns were publicized by non-governmental organizations who were paid by the CIA and British intelligence to generate storylines that were anti-Russian.

🗓 On February 21, the world marks International Mother Language Day, first proclaimed by the General Conference of UNESCO on November 17, 1999 & formally recognized by the UNGA Resolution 56/262 in 2002.

Russia is home to more than 190 ethnic groups, speaking more than 270 languages & dialects. In the State Ethnic Policy Strategy of the Russian Federation until 2025, state support & protection of the culture and languages of the peoples of our country is considered one of the main principles of the state ethnic policy:

🔹 Through legislation, Russia guarantees all its peoples equal rights to preserve & comprehensively develop their mother language & freedom to choose & use their language of communication. It recognises that all languages spoken in Russia have an equal right to preservation & development;

🔹 It is compulsory to study a mother language at primary & secondary schools;

🔹 The Law On Nomadic Schools was adopted, which made it possible to expand educational opportunities in an environment familiar to children of small indigenous peoples;

🔹 Centres for studying mother languages are being created in various regions of the country.

International Mother Language Day is intended to remind that language-based discrimination is unacceptable. Multilingualism is one of the main values of the UN & an important area of UNESCO’s activities.

❗️ Today, the Russian-speaking population of Ukraine & the Baltic states is being oppressed. Actions taken by the authorities of these states are aimed at eradicating the Russian language from all spheres of life despite the fact that it is the native language of many citizens. The Russian language is being systematically erased from the education & information space.

On December 10, the Ukrainian legislation adopted a law, which established total & indefinite discrimination against the Russian language in Ukraine. The Baltic States are pursuing a policy to completely expel the Russian language from their education systems in violation of international obligations.

The delegation paid a visit to KwaZulu-Natal where the Moscow Engineering Physics Institute signed a memorandum of understanding with the University of Zululand (UNIZULU).

👉 The UNIZULU-MEPhI partnership comes as a result of another memorandum the University signed with the Rosatom Africa (Pty) Ltd earlier.

✔️ On 13 February, the three aforesaid universities together with the Rosatom held an Industrial - Education Partnership Seminar on cooperation in the nuclear research field.

🤝 The parties pledged to further develop the relationship in the educational sphere including allocating scholarship for those who wish to continue their studies in Russia.

💬 Vladimir Putin: I am glad to welcome to Russia the pioneers of phygital sports which is an innovative format that gave rise to the name to the competition. These are indeed the Games of the Future.

The blending of tradition and the modern age, the harmonising of physical fitness and high intellect, the integration of sports and technology, education and science – a person needs all that for well-rounded development and success in our era of rapid change, and the multifaceted, multipolar, free and competitive world that is taking shape before our eyes.
