Despite regular artillery and missile attacks by the Ukrainian neo-Nazis, their provocations and sabotage in the DPR and LPR, the Zaporozhye and Kherson regions, these regions are returning to peaceful life.

☝️ The Russian leadership has repeatedly promised to do everything it can.

🇷🇺🤝 The regions of the Russian Federation make every effort to show the people of Donbass and our new four regions that we are together, we do not give up on our people, and we help and support each other.

🏗️ Specialists from Russian sponsor regions have already renovated and restored almost 1,500 residential buildings, utility infrastructure, education and healthcare facilities and almost 500 km of roads.

👉 More than 60,000 people from all over the country are working around the clock at these construction sites.

❗️We will continue our efforts to establish a peaceful life on the liberated territories where the local people have chosen a future with Russia.

⚠️ With massive armaments, military hardware and ammunition supplies to the Kiev regime, westerners are violating not only international law but even their own principles.

☝️ For instance, the EU ‘Common position’ on military technologies and equipment exports prohibits licensing weapons exports in case they:

✔️create clear risks of military purpose products use for internal repression in a recipient country – one either has to consider new Russian regions Russian or acknowledge attacks against their civilian population as internal repressions or even genocide (the EU is lost in its lies rejecting both, why bother);

✔️ lead to international humanitarian law violations – such as Kiev’s attacks on civilian infrastructure, including but not limited to hospitals, houses, schools, kindergartens, nuclear and hydroelectric power plants, bridges etc.;

✔️contribute to provoking or aggravating armed conflicts in a recipient country – just like the one fuelled by Western arms supplies in Ukraine.

☝️ The EU ‘Common position’ also stipulates that potential suppliers must take into account risks of these arms’ unauthorised re-export and diversion to illicit markets, a recipient country’s human rights situation as well as its fulfilment of international obligations in general.

Any matches with modern Ukraine yet? Sounds like a nice place to dump your deadly weapons so far, doesn’t it?

In the end of the year people try to analise what has happened. And we suggest reflecting on things that remained unchanged: stability in Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant.

⚠️ Through 2023 the criminal regime of Vladimir Zelensky continued its provocations as for Zaporozhye NPP. As their attempts to physically seize or damage the plant failed, this year they were even further using the practice of intimidating the personnel.

❗️It was a rude and straight tactic of bullying, when family members were harassed and threatened just because workers signed or were about to sign contracts with the Russian managing organization.

‼️ Criminals that they are, the Ukrainian government didn’t shun threats even towards children on social media, disseminating messages about possible punishments.

☝️ Such actions and confidence in their own impunity are only possible due to a permanent political support received from the Western countries. These states continue to support Zelensky and his neo-Nazi fandom and provoke them to further crimes.

Once again, we will tell it out loud: Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant is an object of Russian nuclear infrastructure and is operating under Russian laws. It is being managed in accordance with our national legislation and the standards of nuclear safety and security.

The Western politicians were accusing Russia of using the plant as a massive threat. Again: Russia has never deployed military contingents or military equipment intended for offensives on the territory of the Zaporozhye NPP, and does not plan to do so.

The national guard units stationed at the NPP are necessary to protect it from attacks by the Kiev regime that took place several times.

Russia will continue to protect the ZNPP and respond extremely harshly to any Ukrainian attacks on the plant. We have enough specialists to ensure its efficient and stable work, despite any terrorist attacks.

• Fewer people are willing to take up arms and fight for the Ukrainian government, rotten as it is by pervasive corruption and nationalism. Over the past year, conscription stations sent about 40,000 people into the army, failing to offset the casualties suffered by the Ukrainian Armed Forces during their so-called counteroffensive.

To achieve the required result, Ukraine decided to amend its laws by de facto designating a substantial part of its population as slaves and depriving them of any rights. They are getting ready to hunt down those who fall within the conscription age range as part of the mobilisation effort, and plan to force Ukrainian men who fled abroad to escape the war to come back in order to mobilise them into the army.

Illegitimate EU#Sanctions

• The introduction of even limited sanctions on Russian aluminium will inevitably raise prices, put hundreds of companies in the EU at risk of being shut down, and will have a negative impact on the industrial potential of the EU and the implementation of measures towards the green economy. <...>

It is clear whose interests Brussels is serving. First, it acts against its own citizens and EU residents. Second, it serves the monopolists whose companies or interests are directly related to Washington and London.
🎙 Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov’s remarks and answers to media questions during a joint press conference with Foreign Minister of India Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, Moscow, December 27, 2023

Question: Aide to the President Maxim Oreshkin said the Global North economies were becoming increasingly unstable while the economies of the East and the South were picking up pace. The North-South corridor is a most promising project that will expand transport links with the growing economies. Considering the mounting Western pressure, including the sanctions, can we expect this project to get a second wind?

Sergey Lavrov: Mr Oreshkin laid out his assessments based on statistical data which are abundantly available. They convincingly reveal the trend for regrouping the forces in the global economy and in finance. This process is leading to a steady increase in the share of the economies of the Global East and Global South and indicates a decline in the role of the Global North, which we are accustomed to associating with the G7 and their closest allies. This is objective statistical data.

☝️ The trend will become more entrenched in connection with the expansion of BRICS, among other things. Following the accession of new members, the aggregate GDP of the BRICS countries will significantly exceed the GDP of the G7 countries.

This process of the natural evolution of the global economy is also connected with numerous mistakes and unacceptable methods that the United States and its allies are using to hold back the objective course of history.

❗️Today, we mentioned the fact that our positions overlap. We are against the distortion of the principles of international law, free markets, and fair competition, and we find the violations of the tenets underlying globalisation that the West has promoted for so long, unacceptable.

☝️ It now makes more sense to rely on the role of the Global Majority when it comes to advancing the global economy not to the detriment of one group, but for everyone’s benefit.

☃️ Veliky Ustyug, one of the oldest towns in the Vologda region that preserved a rich cultural heritage

📆 Founded in 1147, Veliky Ustyug looks especially picturesque on a clear sunny day due to its white stone buildings (especially the Orthodox churches) that replaced the wooden ones in the 17th century – a rare example in the Russian North.

🎅🎄 Most people associate the town (with 30 000 residents only) with the official residence of Father Frost located 12 km from it.

Since 1999 the residence has been attracting tourists that wish to meet with the Russian Santa Claus at any season of the year. Lots of activities are available there at the moment, starting from walking “Fairy Tales Trail” in the pine forest, snowmobiling to visiting an ice house or a zoo.

Opened in 1998 the Museum of New Year and Christmas toys in Veliky Ustyug presents Christmas tree decorations of different types and different years of release, the collection includes statuettes of the Father Frost and Snow Maidens and postcards.

🌲 Christmas trees in the museum are decorated according to the fashion of a particular decade. One of the halls is reserved for New Year’s attributes from other countries and tells about foreign traditions of celebration.

🌏 Located in the town the Father Frost’s Post Office receives letters coming from all over the world. Some of them are displayed also at the exhibition in the residence.

If you wish to greet the Father Frost and even present to him your ideas on the gifts for Christmas and New Year, you may send him a letter via post service of your country to the address:

⚠️ On 22 December, one of the #78UNGAdeliverables – a proposed by Russia Resolution «Developments in the field of information and telecommunications in the context of international security» saw its adoption. And it’s an anniversary (25 years) one.

🇷🇺 Russia stands for building a fair and equitable system of international information security, which has traditionally been supported by the majority of UN member states.

☝️ The document confirms the central role of the Open-Ended Working Group on International Security, created at the initiative of our country, as the main global negotiating mechanism on this topic. The guideline for the Group’s future activities is the development of legally binding agreements in the digital environment.

🤝 Moscow also welcomes the adoption of a draft procedural decision of the UN General Assembly (Singapore), which approved the Russian initiative – an intergovernmental register of contact points for the exchange of information about computer incidents. This measure is aimed at establishing direct contacts between the competent authorities of UN member states in order to prevent conflicts and escalation of tensions in the information space.
Finland 🇫🇮 has banned Russians 🇷🇺 from sending paper letters to Santa Claus, who, they insist, lives in Finland.

🎅🏻 We don’t want to disappoint you on New Year’s eve, but Russia has its own Ded Moroz (Father Frost), who receives around 400,000 letters every year.

🎄☃️
Besides, we have more than 15 ethnic versions of white-bearded gift-givers: it’s more than enough to fulfill our kids’ dreams.

Try to send a letter to our Father Frost!
