🌾 The approaching date of expiry (July 17) of the Black Sea Initiative on Ukrainian food exports, which cannot be extended without the consent of all the parties involved – Russia, Türkiye, and Ukraine – has caused another surge of propaganda activity on the part of Western countries, Kiev, and the UN Secretariat.

In this connection, it is necessary to reiterate the facts on the true state of affairs 👇

👉 Aimed at providing relief to destitute countries in Africa, Asia, and Latin America, the Black Sea Initiative has degenerated into a purely commercial export of Ukrainian food to the well-fed countries. Of the 32.6 million tonnes of grain exported from the ports of Odessa, Chernomorsk, and Yuzhny since August 1, 2022, the greater part – 26.2 million tonnes, or 81 percent – was sent to countries with a high or higher-than-average level of incomes. The poorest countries received a mere 862,068 tonnes, or 2.6 percent.

👉 Against this background, the situation with normalising Russian food and fertiliser supplies to the world markets, as envisaged by the Russia-UN Memorandum, continued to decline. There are five systemic goals, which, if achieved, would have made it possible to remove these obstacles. They are as follows: reconnecting Rosselkhozbank to SWIFT, resuming the supplies of spare parts for agricultural machinery, reviving the Togliatti-Odessa ammonia pipeline, making arrangements for transport logistics and insurance, and unfreezing financial assets. It looks like the first three have been removed from the agenda altogether, and there is no progress in view on the last two.

Under these circumstances, it is obvious that there are no grounds for extending the Black Sea Initiative, which expires on July 17.

⚡️ On attempted Ukrainian terrorist attacks in Moscow and Moscow Region

On July 4, during morning hours, the Ukrainian neo-Nazis launched five unmanned aerial vehicles in terrorist attacks against Moscow and the Moscow Region. According to available information, this time they targeted civilian infrastructure, including a large international airport.

These attacks have been foiled thanks to the efficient operation of the Russian air defence and electronic warfare systems. Four drones were shot down and one went out of control and crashed. There are no reports of casualties or damage.

☝️ These attacks would have been impossible without the support provided to the Kiev regime by the United States and its NATO allies, which continue to pour weapons into Ukraine, including drones, train drone operators and provide intelligence information necessary for such crimes, including civilian and military satellite images.

❗️ All of this makes Washington and its satellites accomplices to the preparation and implementation of terrorist attacks, which Kiev plans and implements using Western money and weapons.

⚠️ Comment by the Russian Ministry of Defence

▫️ British Admiral Radakin's estimates of Russian armour losses published by the FT, jointly with the alleged loss of 'half its combat capability' of the Russian Armed Forces, are discouraging on the scale of the falsehood.

▫️ And all this against the background of lamentations of other British military commanders, and even Secretary of State for Defence Ben Wallace, about the total devastation of their own weapon reserves and hundreds of vehicles sent for the Ukrainian 'counteroffensive', but 'unexpectedly' burnt out when they came into contact with the allegedly 'lost combat capability' of the Russian troops.

▫️ Moreover, overpraised Storm Shadow cruise missiles are regrettably causing civilian fatalities by hitting civilian infrastructure more and more often. Otherwise, they may collapse without bursting frightening only steppe puffins.

▫️ All this British scrap metal supplied to the Kiev regime, after being remelted, yet to serve the new Russian regions quite well as raw materials during reconstruction work. And the microchips forged from the missiles could probably be inserted into Russian 'washing machines', as in tales Ursula von der Leyen was telling not so long ago.

▫️ The logic and aims of Admiral Radakin's propaganda statements in the British Parliament are obvious: to get money from the depleted budget to buy new armaments for the army in place of the junk sent to Ukraine.

▫️ The only challenge is to convince the taxpayers that the military supplies to Kiev make any sense at all and are useful for something.

▫️All that remains in the absence of any results of the Ukrainian Armed Forces on the battlefield, and now clearly in the lack of their prospects, is to fantasise about the 'loss of combat capability' of the Russian Armed Forces...

▫️ Most importantly, the British Defence Staff has long since requalified itself from a strategic analysis and planning agency to a BBC's non-organic branch. With such analytical skills as that of Admiral Radakin, the UK defence will not have water under its keel.

THINGS RUSSIA’S ATTEMPTED MUTINY REVEALED

On 23-25 June, Russia saw an attempted armed mutiny orchestrated by Y. Prigozhin, head of the Wagner Group (private military company).

On the so-called ‘March of Justice’ headed to Moscow, a number of warriors that had been bravely defending Russia’s interests on the battlefields, misguided by certain individuals’ political ambitions, turned their arms against their comrades. With mediatory assistance from Belorussian President A.Lukashenko the bloodshed was avoided, tensions released peacefully.

Official statements clarifying the actual situation have been published on June 24 and 26, 2023. Western mainstream media have outdone themselves propagating sweet lies how Russia’s proven to be the colossus on clay feet.

☝️ Yet, before turning over this page, we suggest our view on what the attempted mutiny really revealed.

1️⃣ Unity of the Russian people. Contrary to what a majority of Western outlets reported, in reality civil society, religious denominations, the executive and legislative branches of power at all levels, political parties, explicitly expressed their support for the constitutional order.

All as one, resolutely rejected the opposition and demonstrated strong support for democracy and peace. We believe, only a mature society can effectively discard everything that weakens it, any strife that external enemies can use to subvert it from within.

2️⃣ Lessons learned. Every country’s history has moments that are painful to think about no matter how much time passes. Moments when it seemed that the Fatherland was lost, hopelessly and for good. For most Russians, these are the Mongol yoke (13th-15th centuries), the Time of Troubles (1598-1613), the Civil War (1917-1922), the collapse of the USSR (1991). Yet again and again, Russia managed to overcome these fatal strokes with dignity. We have learnt the bitter lesson that internal clashes bring benefits only to external rivals.

3️⃣ Popular trust in the President of Russia and support of Russia’s struggle for its sovereignty against the collective West. Fighters of the Wagner Group were met without hostility by the local population, because, as Vladimir Putin put it, people in Russia had always treated the warriors of the Wagner Group with great respect, due to courage and heroism they showed on the battlefields. Many Russians thankfully greeted their warriors returning from the very front with water and food. Yet, when it became evident that the ‘March of Justice’ was in essence an attempted armed mutiny, the overwhelming majority of Russian citizens spoke against it and supported President Putin who called the Prigozhin’s move ‘stab in the back’ of the Russian army.

4️⃣ There are other views on how things should go in Ukraine, and their advocates are rather influential. No, we’re not speaking about Alexey Navalny, Garri Kasparov and the likes (as our Western counterparts would prefer), we mean a rather different opposition which demands more decisive steps in armed struggle against NATO in Ukraine.

A clear message to the collective West – President Putin is indeed a reserved, reasonable and balanced leader. If the above-mentioned opposition forces prevailed in Russia, the West would face far bigger problems than it currently does.

5️⃣ Who is who. Unfortunately, it is usually in troubles that the true nature of relations is revealed. We have received a lot of words of support from our friends abroad. The Embassy’s mailbox is full of letters from concerned South Africans. We truly value these sincere words of encouragement. They are much more important than ‘Russia is collapsing’ wishful thinking routinely spread by the Western propaganda machine.

❗️No doubt, such shocks as Russia experienced that weekend are painful and we wish they did not happen at all but the way the country dealt with it, effectively and peacefully, is a true sign of strength and wisdom of our leadership and ordinary people.

🌍 On the eve (almost) of the #RussiaAfrica summit, we reminisce on the memorable episodes of our cooperation with African nations. Today, we will go back to the early 1960s and honour the memory of the Soviet sappers that took part in demining the Algerian border.

#RussiaAlgeria 🇷🇺🇩🇿 #AfricaRemembers

👉 After long years of fighting the French colonial yoke, Algeria gained independence in 1962. Among the first problems faced by the Algerian government were the minefields left by the French colonial forces on the borders with Morocco and Tunisia. After the war, French troops did not remove these barriers and even refused to provide maps.

At first, the Algerians asked the leaders of several Western countries to help them demine the border but they set too high a price. The Soviet Union was the only state that was ready to help gratis. It sent the first officers of the engineering troops in the same year. Overall, more than 300 military experts from the USSR performed this risky job in Algeria from 1962 to 1965.

✍️ Colonel Andrey Pavlenko (Ret.) recalls: “Under the scorching African sun, the temperature inside our tanks reached +60C. Plus, there was a lot of dust and explosions of mines with fragments flying all around. But our sappers were relentless, braving bursts of fire and clouds of ash and smoke.”

Overall, Soviet sappers rendered harmless about 1.5 million mines and cleared 120,000 hectares of land. The Algerian leaders lauded their feat. Chairman of the Revolutionary Council of Algeria Houari Boumediene said about it: “We had an opportunity to see for ourselves the sincerity of cooperation when Soviet military experts displayed true heroism clearing Algerian land of mines.”

🎶 People in Russia have also commemorated this episode of our common history in songs, memoirs and poetry. The famous singer Mark Bernes intoned: “Our commander was wounded by an explosion. The thunder was deafening, the heat was stifling, and Algeria suddenly became a close and dear country.”

❗️🇺🇸 US involvement in the conflict in Ukraine

The mass of publicly accessible data and information available to Russia suggests that the US has deliberately sought to unleash a proxy war and is siding with one party in the conflict with a view to achieving its central goal of inflicting a “strategic defeat” on Russia.

In this “division of labour”, the neo-Nazi regime in Kiev regularly provides cannon fodder in exchange for:

👉 unprecedented financial injections, some of which goes to line the pockets of Vladimir Zelensky and his entourage,
👉 supplies of arms and equipment, including high-tech combat hardware,
👉 supplies of full range of intelligence information by the Pentagon and NATO structures,
👉 direct commanding of operations by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

▪️ In general, since February 24, 2022, the Biden administration has provided Kiev with more than $40 billion in military tecnical assistance, US instructors have trained 13,600 Ukrainian servicemen.

▪️Washington and its allies widely use space and aerial reconnaissance assets to provide the Ukrainian Armed Forces with information about the Russian Armed Forces. The orbital constellation includes about 450 satellites.

▪️ In addition to space systems, reconnaissance aircraft and UAVs, which perform daily flights from air bases in Great Britain, Germany, Greece, Italy, Romania and Türkiye, are widely used to monitor the situation.

▪️ At present, there are three American private military companies in the theatre of hostilities: the Mozart Group, the Sons of Liberty and Academi.

▪️ According to leaks in the media, the US Special Operations Command supervises the work of the centres of information and psychological operations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

▪️In turn, the Pentagon’s Cyber Command and the National Security Agency are planning and coordinating cyberattacks under the Ukrainian flag at Russia’s critical information infrastructure.

🔋 Russia to continue assisting African countries in constructing power plants, including nuclear ones

Russian President Vladimir Putin said this at the International Parliamentary Conference “Russia-Africa in a Multipolar World” in March.

📊 Currently, the universal access to electricity in Africa remains uneven. In cities, over 70% of the population has access to electricity. In rural areas, this figure is less than 20%.

What kind of government policies are in place in African countries to promote sustainable energy development? How do the activities of Russian companies fit into this context? What challenges are there on the way?

🗓 These and other topics will be discussed by participants at Russia–Africa: Prospects for Energy Cooperation session of the Second Russia–Africa Summit.

🎙 Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov's remarks at the Ceremonial Start of the #SilkWay International Rally (Kazan, July 6, 2023)

💬 I cannot thank you enough for this opportunity to attend this fantastic event. We have gathered here today to see off these courageous people – men and women – who will participate in this race along the oldest road that tied together our entire vast continent, Eurasia, linking regions, people and destinies, traditions, cultures, languages, and religions.

The fact that today Kazan is hosting the thirteenth edition of this rally shows how important it is for our neighbours and everyone who lives on this vast continent, to feel involved in a common cause and destiny. It is especially gratifying to be connected through sports, which must be outside politics, no matter how hard major sports officials try to politicise it, and which brings people together through a natural feeling of fair competition.

I wish every participant the best of luck.Winning is the only way!

🗓 On July 7, 1879, Russia and Bulgaria established diplomatic relations. For a long time, cooperation between our countries developed steadily, and common pages of history, cultural and spiritual roots still bind our nations.

Russia played a key role in liberating the people of Bulgaria, did everything possible to help Bulgaria gain independence and always provided selfless assistance in difficult times.

⚔️ About 100,000 Russian soldiers perished during the Russo-Turkish War of 1877-1878 (15,500 killed in action, 81,000 succumbed to disease). Russia incurred these casualties while fighting for the freedom of the Balkan nations, including the Bulgarians. Thanks to Russia, Bulgaria was able to obtain autonomous status on March 3, 1878.

In 1908, Bulgaria declared independence from the Ottoman Empire, and Russia was one of the first countries to support the newly independent state. It waived the indemnity the Ottoman Empire owed to Russia under the 1879 treaty and in return, Türkiye recognised the independence of Bulgaria.

During the Great Patriotic War, Bulgaria remained an ally of Nazi Germany for a long time. However, the Red Army did not engage the Bulgarian army in battle after entering the country in September 1944. The Soviet Union supported an anti-Nazi uprising and after the change of government in Bulgaria, Soviet and Bulgarian soldiers fought together against the Nazis to liberate Yugoslavia, Hungary and Austria.

After World War II, the Soviet Union consistently upheld the interests of Bulgaria at the 1946 Paris Peace Conference. Later, Sofia remained one of Moscow’s closest allies in Europe.

Interaction between our countries has, at this point, been put on hold. The government of Bulgaria has committed several unfriendly acts with regard to Russia, and this negatively impacts all spheres of Russian-Bulgarian cooperation.

Those Bulgarians who truly hold the tradition of friendship between our peoples will never sympathise with this line.
