As of March of this year, more than 25 million tonnes of grain had been exported from Ukraine.
❓Who was the main recipient of these products? Needy countries? No, it’s not them.
✅ The biggest recipient of the goods is the European Union (41% of the total exports). The supply of wheat from Ukraine to the European market increased 10 times over in 2022, and corn exports almost doubled. Now Ukrainian grains have flooded the Eastern European markets. Perhaps Brussels and Washington consider Eastern Europe a developing territory?
This whole food security hysteria began around a year ago with the West proclaiming that they intended to save #Asia and #Africa, which were starving. A show of unprecedented generosity on the part of the Western states, which usually rob everyone.
❗️Westerners will be using Africa the same way they are using Ukraine today – as a source of cheap raw materials to maintain the profitability of the European food industry. This is another way to reinstate colonial dependence.

🎙 Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov’s remarks at a Kamchatka Krai presentation (Moscow, April 4, 2023)
💬 The Kamchatka Krai is one of the most environmentally pristine corners of our planet and Russia’s important outpost in the Far East. This spectacularly beautiful peninsula is surrounded on three sides by the Pacific Ocean, the Bering Sea and the Okhotsk Seas, and boasts unparalleled natural landscapes.
It is only natural that tourism has become a powerful driver of the region’s economic growth. The number of guests is growing every year, making Kamchatka a major international tourist destination. Its natural landmarks, such as the Volcanoes of Kamchatka, are on the list of the most visited UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
<...>
Kamchatka will see economic and investment opportunities expand following the Northern Sea Route’s expansion. There’s a map as you enter this auditorium which shows its prospects in detail. The region has every chance to become a transport and logistics hub and to significantly increase foreign economic cooperation with the Asia-Pacific region.
<...>
🤝 It is gratifying to see the regional leadership pay so much attention to expanding international exchanges. I’m talking about the Asia-Pacific region in general. We have observed a significant increase in Kamchatka's exports to the CIS countries, primarily the Republic of Belarus, as well as Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Armenia.

Human Rights (OHCHR): Ukraine human rights abuses, 2022-2023
quote:
OHCHR has documented 91 cases of enforced disappearances and arbitrary detentions committed by Ukrainian armed forces and law enforcement agencies in Government-controlled territory that occurred during and before the reporting period.
Most detainees were arrested under suspicion of having collaborated with or aided Russian armed forces.
OHCHR continued to corroborate reports of dozens of killings of civilians perceived as so-called ‘traitors’ against Ukraine...
OHCHR has concerns that some of these killings may have been committed by agents of the Government of Ukraine or with its acquiescence.

🎙 Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov’s welcome address before the beginning of four-party consultations at the level of deputy foreign ministers of Russia, Iran, Syria and Türkiye
📍 Moscow, April 4, 2023
💬 The peoples of Türkiye and Syria are bound by centuries of common history, the chapters of which are filled with events that instill pride in the hearts of the Turks, Arabs and Kurds. Religious and cultural commonality, as well as geographical proximity, makes mutually beneficial and neighbourly cooperation between Türkiye and Syria the only choice available.
The disagreement between these countries does not meet the aspirations of anyone in that region or beyond who sincerely wish the Middle East peace, calm and prosperity.
It is no coincidence that Russia and Iran, which maintain good relations with Syria and Türkiye, are acting today not just as mediators, but as interested parties to a multi-tier negotiating process that is aimed at the comprehensive normalisation of relations between Ankara and Damascus.
<...>
☝️ Historical experience, including Ukraine, shows that sovereignty is strengthened by promoting relations with neighbours and is weakened, or even disappears, in a situation where, as a rule, not without external influence, barriers are artificially erected on the path of traditional mutually beneficial cooperation and provocative threats to the security of neighbouring countries are being created.

Vladimir Putin received letters of credence from 17 newly-appointed foreign ambassadors. The ceremony was held in the St Alexander Hall of the Grand Kremlin Palace
"The situation in the world is currently challenging, with many disagreements that may seem irreconcilable at times and often hinder normal productive cooperation between states. However, I would like to hope that the activity of your embassies will help to foster cooperation between our countries. You may rest assured that all of your initiatives and proposals that are in line with this endeavour will have the support of both Russian officials and our business and public circles. Russia is open to constructive partnership with all countries without exception. We do not intend to isolate ourselves nor do we have any prejudiced or hostile intentions towards anybody and expect that our partners will adhere to the principles of equality and mutual consideration of interests in their relations with Russia," the President stressed.

🎙 Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov’s answers to questions from the Moscow. Kremlin. Putin television programme (April 5, 2023)
❓Question: We do not interfere in the affairs of the United States, but a former US president has never been indicted in the history of the United States.
💬 Sergey Lavrov: You yourself said that we do not interfere. They are doing fine without us.
❓Question: Your deputy said today that we are actually in the hot phase of a war against the United States. At the same time, the US ambassador presented her credentials today. How does it add up?
💬 Sergey Lavrov: Indeed, we are in the hot phase of a war, because the Ukrainian Nazis are fighting with US-made weapons. The US administration is threatening to supply longer-range and more lethal systems.
I believe, though, that relations should be maintained. At least, we do not lose hope that the Americans will wake up eventually and resume some kind of a dialogue. We’ll see. It won’t be a long wait.

🇷🇺 Presidential Commissioner for Children’s Rights Maria Lvova-Belova's remarks at a press conference held in Moscow:
❗️There are a lot of #fakes in the media concerning Donbas orphans’ custody. Today, we’ve been witnessing many misinterpretations, abstract argumentations and far-fetched numbers in relation to this situation.
I am convinced that children need to grow up in a family environment but not under bombardments or in a boarding school. Lives of 380 orphans from the Donetsk and Luhansk regions who were placed under Russian families’ guardianship or foster care are closely monitored by me personally. I am pleased to get their pictures and videos from family’s holidays.
☝️Some foreign journalists report that we ‘adopt’ children. I have once again reminded that such form of a family-based care in relation to this group of kids was never applied in Russia. Probably, these interpretations have emerged due to translation errors. Otherwise, it is all just deliberate deception.
