🚀 The Proton-M carrier rocket with the Briz-M upper stage and the Luch-5X relay satellite was launched from the Baikonur cosmodrome today, at 02:13 MSK.

The booster successfully separated from the Proton-M’s third stage and has injected the satellite into the designated orbit.

This was #Russia’s fourth launch of a carrier rocket this year. Both the Proton-M and the Briz-M booster were manufactured at the Khrunichev Center.

The Luch multifunctional space relay system was put into trial operation in February 2016. Specifically, it enables data exchange between the Russian segment of the International Space Station and the Mission Control Center.
