🇷🇺🇮🇳 On February 11, with the support of the Russian Embassy and the Rossotrudnichestvo Representative Office in India, a screening of the documentary film "From Russia With Heart" was held as part of the 13th Global Festival of Journalism & AVGC in Noida.

📹 It was presented by the scriptwriter, correspondent of the documentary broadcasting editorial office of the "RT Doc" TV channel Dmitry Khrustalev.

💬 Embassy's Spokesperson Petr Sizov addressed the audience with welcoming remarks. In his speech to students of journalism faculties of local universities, he noted the important role of such events in promoting freedom of the press, and specifically focused on violations of journalists' rights and the practice of double standards in Western countries.

🤝 The documentary was warmly received by the Indian public. The organizers of the event expressed hope for further festival cooperation with the Russian side.

🇷🇺🎊 On February 14, the Russian Embassy in India hosted a solemn reception on the occasion of the Diplomats Day.

👥 Among the guests were senior officials of the Ministry of External Affairs of India and representatives of the friendly diplomatic corps, including the Ambassadors of the CIS Member States.

🤝 Russian Ambassador to India Denis Alipov congratulated his colleagues on the professional holiday and commended their active work in 2024 as well as read out the congratulatory message from Russian President Vladimir Putin. A video address by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov was screened.

🎶 The performance of the Moscow duet "Bohemia" consisting of Evgeny Soprunov (balalaika) and Kristina Kochmarik (violin) became a bright decoration of the event.

🇷🇺🇮🇳 The Russian House in Mumbai hosted a meeting with participants of the international scientific expedition project "Afanasy Nikitin — 550".

👥 Historian, writer and member of the St. Petersburg branch of the Russian Geographical Society Denis Khrustalev, leading researcher at the Institute of Russian Literature of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Dr Alexander Bobrov, member of the Krasnoyarsk branch of the Russian Geographical Society and head of the public organization "Dialogue on the Development of Humanitarian Cooperation" Ilya Bannikov noted that under this project they are collecting scientifically significant information about the places visited by the famous Russian merchant, who became the first European to come to India.

🤔 Members of the expedition, who had previously followed Nikitin’s route through the Caucasus, the Caspian Sea, Iran and Crimea, arrived in India to conduct comprehensive scientific research at the final stage of the project and verify the not fully studied information left by Afanasy Nikitin in his notes about his stay in South Asia in the 15th century.

📝 In early March, the participants will gather at the Russian House in New Delhi and share the results of their work, which will be published upon their return to Russia.
