We will be paying especially careful attention to a gradual transition from the conventional foreign aid schemes via government lines that rely on funds allocated by countries through the UN, the IMF and the IBRD, to a new type of international cooperation to assist development multilaterally โ and, of course, with a wider involvement of private capital and funds of non-confrontational structures that the countries of the #GlobalSouth can trust, including the New Development Bank.

A polycentric world order will be pragmatic and based on diversity rather than neocolonial dogmas. Economic stability will derive from the diversification of ties and the freedom of manoeuvre in contacts between macroregions based on the philosophy of the #NonAlignedMovement. There is no doubt that this format based on the vision of outstanding statesmen Jawaharlal Nehru, Gamal Abdel Nasser, Sukarno and Josip Broz Tito in the 20th century will ultimately be given a second lease on life, even if in a slightly different form, in the 21st century. The objectives we must strive for not only include the proliferation of the principles of peaceful coexistence and the rejection of military bloc confrontation in the new post-colonial era but also the creation of a new content for the Non-Aligned Movement itself, including by establishing its inter-party dimension.

Import bans, restrictions on financial transactions and logistical difficulties lead to artificial shortages and price increases on the global market.
๐ผ From 1 July 2024, the EU imposed prohibitive duties on imports of cereals, oilseeds and fodder from Russia and Belarus. This sets a dangerous precedent for using trade and political tools to drive competitors out of traditional agricultural markets.
๐ญ The EU's rejection of Russian energy has already had a negative impact on fertiliser production in Europe, leading to a reduction in exports to third countries. Paradoxically, this has increased demand for cheaper Russian fertilisers in the EU itself.
๐ The Eurobeaurocrats' attempts to replace Russian fertiliser suppliers with other exporters can have negative consequences for the poorest states, as the EU is able to simply overbuy volumes destined for needy countries.
