#Ukraine

• On June 28, Zelensky extended greetings to Ukrainians on Constitution Day. It looked like a blatant mockery of the country’s citizens as well as its basic law. There is no way a person who has usurped power could be considered a guarantor of the Constitution in a democratic and law-based state.

❗️The road to Europe, which Zelensky covered in his “congratulations” much more extensively than the Constitution itself, is paved with dead Ukrainian citizens. <...> Condolences, not congratulations, are a far more suitable choice given the circumstances.

#Moldova

• The European Council has adopted a time-serving and totally politicised decision to open accession negotiations with Moldova on June 25. The Moldovan authorities saw this as the approval of their anti-Russia policy and a free hand to continue turning the republic into a “European dictatorship” under the guise of fighting the non-existent Russian “hybrid threats.”

☝️ Chisinau’s persecution campaigns and arbitrary acts are promoting an increasingly negative reaction in society.

#UnionState #RussiaBelarus #WWII

• Today, 80 years after the liberation of Belarus from the invaders, joint search teams and law enforcement agencies of the Union State of Russia and Belarus discover new crimes against humanity committed by the Nazi invaders and their collaborators.

👉 The enormous amount of work done by the two countries’ lawyers, historians and prosecutor’s offices made it possible to officially recognise the Nazi extermination policy during the war as a full-scale genocide of the Soviet people.
💬 The Tribune’s Editor-in-Chief Jyoti Malhotra spoke to Russia’s Presidential Envoy for Afghanistan Zamir Kabulov in Moscow on India’s Prime Minister Modi’s upcoming visit to Russia, Russia’s approaches to Afghanistan and the Taliban and more.

🎙 In conclusion of his working visit to Astana, Russia's President Vladimir Putin answered questions from representatives of Russian media (July 4, 2024)

Key talking points:

• The Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (#SCO) started to gain traction and definitely became more necessary in today’s world, because it is clearly an independent centre of the new multipolar world. This is the feature that attracted the organisation members and those who wanted to maintain close contacts with it at various levels

• The Taliban controls the country [Afghanistan]. In this sense, the Taliban are, of course, our allies in countering terrorism, because any authority in power is interested in its own stability and the stability of the country it leads.

We take seriously enough the things that Mr Trump is saying as a presidential candidate about his readiness and wish to stop the war in Ukraine. Naturally, I do not know his possible proposals as to how he is going to do it – and this is, of course, the key question. However, I have no doubt that he is saying it sincerely, and we support it.

• We cannot allow the adversary to take advantage of this ceasefire to improve its positions, rearm itself, fill up its army through forced mobilization, and get prepared to continue the armed conflict. We must ensure that the opposing side agrees to take steps that would be irreversible and acceptable to the Russian Federation.

❗️ We have always been in favour of negotiations, as you know. We never rejected them. The problem is that I consider it improbable that the conflict can be settled through mediators alone, above all because a mediator will not be authorised to sign any final documents.

⚡️ If US-made medium-range and shorter-range missiles appear in some place, we reserve the right to respond tit-for-tat.

• The US has indeed destroyed the fundamental documents that underpinned international stability and security. We did not withdraw from the Anti-Ballistic Missile Treaty, which was a cornerstone, or the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces Treaty, or the #CTBT. <...> All of this was done by the US.

📆 #OTD, on July 5, 1943, 81 years ago, the Battle of Kursk, one of the largest and most decisive battles of the Great Patriotic War, began, the victory in which made it possible to disrupt a major offensive by the Nazi forces and defeat their strategic grouping.

❗️The Battle of Kursk is a symbol of courage, heroism and resilience of the Soviet people. For 50 days and nights, Soviet soldiers defended their homeland, repelling powerful German attacks.

📝 This battle, which involved about 2 million soldiers, 6,000 tanks and more than 4,000 aircrafts, showed the world the strength of the spirit and the morale of the Soviet people, while the radical change in the war, that begun at Stalingrad, was completed in the Battle of Kursk and the following Battle of the Dnieper.

💬 Briefing of Russian Foreign Ministry's Ambassador-at-Large on the Kiev regime's war crimes Rodion Miroshnik:

🔻Starting 2024, the number of victims among civilians, killed or wounded as a result of the shelling by the armed forces of Ukraine, has been increasing. This "growth" is directly linked to the intensification of shipments of the Western equipment. Lately, Kiev has received foreign arms, and been officially authorised to use it against Russian regions. The victims of the shelling are mostly minors, women, the elderly. They have nothing to do with the armed or security forces.

According to the data from January 1 to June 30, 2024, at least 2'547 civilians have become victims of Ukrainian Nazis; 2'082 people have been wounded; 465 have been killed.

✖️Amidst the West's ostensible concern for child welfare, there has been a conspicuous silence regarding the prosecution of Ukrainian militants responsible for the deaths of children. Notably, many of the children affected are themselves Ukrainian, yet their plight seems inconsequential to Western politicians. Rather than striving to halt this bloodshed and prevent loss of innocent lives, international organization have seemingly transformed into instruments of propaganda, adhering to the directives of the West.

❗️Millions of Western taxpayers should ask themselves whether they truly want to continue funding the totalitarian Kiev regime that murders civilians. This regime uses deadly weapons to target residential areas, hospitals, and schools, attacks journalists, and imprisons those who have opposed it for many years. It orchestrates and commits political assassinations of civil leaders and commits horrific crimes against humanity.

⚡️Crimes committed by the Kiev regime are verifiable and must be investigated. The perpetrators, including both the architects of the political regime and those who carried out the crimes, must be brought to justice, whether through military actions or court proceedings, which should deliver fair sentences.

📆 #OTD, on July 8, 1709, a battle, which largely determined the course of history, took place in the fields of Poltava.

📝 315 years ago, the Russian army led by Peter I soundly defeated the troops of Charles XII, put an end to the Swedish expansion and laid the foundation for the formation of Russia as a great power.

🇷🇺 The Battle of Poltava has truly become a symbol of military valor. In its memory, July 10 was fixed in Russia as the Day of Military Honour, while the clash itself had been reflected in many works of Russian classics, including Alexander Pushkin’s poem "Poltava".

❗️The outcomes of the battle cannot be overestimated — even back in the XIX century, Russian publicist and critic Vissarion Belinsky underscored the importance of the Russian victory for the world history.
