๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿ‡บ๐ŸŒŠ๐ŸŒŠ๐ŸŒŠ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ณ On October 3-6, Russian Honorary Consul in Trivandrum Ratheesh Nair continued his journey in the footsteps of Afanasy Nikitin in the state of Maharashtra, as part of the โ€œVoyage@555โ€ project.

๐Ÿ’ฌ During the visit, he met with Ivan Fetisov, Consul General of Russia in Mumbai, and discussed the results of the ongoing project. Later, Ratheesh Nair visited the monument to Afanasy Nikitin in Chaul, after which he interacted with local students and spoke about the importance of his initiative.

๐Ÿ™ The route passed through Junnar, Dabhol and Ratnagiri โ€” places in Maharashtra mentioned in the book โ€œThe Journey Beyond the Three Seasโ€ by Afanasy Nikitin.

๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿ‡บ๐ŸŒŠ๐ŸŒŠ๐ŸŒŠ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ณ On October 6-8, as part of the "Voyage@555" project dedicated to Afanasy Nikitin's "A Journey Beyond the Three Seas", Honorary Consul of Russia in Trivandrum Ratheesh Nair visited the Indian states of Telangana and Karnataka.

๐Ÿ’ฌ During the visit, he had meetings with the Vice Chancellor of the University of English and Foreign Languages, Hyderabad, Prof Haribandi Lakshmi, deans of several faculties of the university, teachers of the Russian language and students. Prof Lakshmi expressed willingness to launch a free online Russian language course for the general public of Hyderabad, which will be organized jointly with the Lobachevsky State University of Nizhny Novgorod. The parties also discussed cooperation in teaching Telugu at the St Petersburg State University.

๐Ÿ™ The route passed through historical locations mentioned in the book of the ancient Russian merchant โ€” Golconda, Bidar, Kalaburagi, Raichur and Hampi (the cite of the former capital of the Vijayanagara Empire).

๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿ‡บ๐ŸŒŠ๐ŸŒŠ๐ŸŒŠ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ณ On October 12-13, Ratheesh Nair, Honorary Consul of Russia in Trivandrum, visited Kozhikode, as part of the "Voyage@555" project.

๐Ÿ“š Ratheesh Nair had a meeting with the management of AFRC Book House, which has a large collection of books in the Russian language. Following the talks, a memorandum was signed to establish a center of Russian culture.

๐Ÿ› During the conversation with Mayor of the city Dr Beena Philip, it was decided to install a bust of Afanasy Nikitin in the street named after the Russian traveller.

๐Ÿ’ผ In conjunction with the trip's mission to promote economic ties, a trade conference was organized in Kozhikode to highlight business opportunities in Russia. It was attended by representatives of business community and Russian banks.

๐Ÿค The project was organized with the support of the Russian Embassy in India, Russian Foreign Ministry, Rossotrudnichestvo, "Russkiy Mir" Foundation and Russian Geographical Society.

๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿ‡บ๐ŸŒŠ๐ŸŒŠ๐ŸŒŠ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ณ On October 14, the final stage of Honorary Consul of Russia in Trivandrum Ratheesh Nair's "Voyage@555" project dedicated to the 555th anniversary of Afanasy Nikitin's "A Journey Beyond The Three Seas" was completed.

๐Ÿ”˜Since September 2, retracing the route of the Russian merchant's trip, Ratheesh Nair visited more than 50 cities in Russia, Azerbaijan, Iran, Oman and India.

๐Ÿ› Mayor of Kozhikode, the final point of Afanasy Nikitin's journey, Beena Phillip opened the solemn evening to mark the completion of the "Voyage@555". Among speakers at the event were representatives of the local business community, educational institutions and cultural figures. During the ceremony, the Honorary Consul announced that on October 20 Trivandrum would host a separate evaluation meeting in the format of a panel discussion to summarize the outcomes of the initiative.

๐Ÿ•บ The evening ended with a gala concert by the Kuban folk dance ensemble "Stanitsa", which was attended by about a thousand spectators.

๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿ‡บ๐ŸŒŠ๐ŸŒŠ๐ŸŒŠ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ณ On October 20, Trivandrum hosted a panel discussion on the outcomes of the "Voyage@555" project of Russian Honorary Consul Ratheesh Nair that was dedicated to the 555th anniversary of Afanasy Nikitin's "A Journey Beyond The Three Seas".

๐Ÿ“„ In total, as part of Ratheesh Nair's initiative, 11 online meetings were held between representatives of Russian and Indian universities, as a result of which two agreements on cooperation in student exchanges and business trips of teachers were signed. Free online courses in Russian language learning were organized in seven Indian states, as well as an essay competition on Russian literature and the peaceful use of nuclear energy.

โœ๏ธ It was planned that from 2025 to 2027 Kerala will host Days of Russian Regions, while nine Russian regions will participate in a bilateral tourism fair in October 2025.

๐Ÿ‘ฅ The event was attended by the Minister for Food and Civil Supplies of the State of Kerala G.R.Anil, representatives of the business community, public and political cirlces.
