🎙 Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov’s interview with the French TV channel TF1
📍 Moscow, May 29, 2022
📰 READ IN FULL
Key points:
🔹 Unlike our Western colleagues, we are not chasing after the external effects. Nor do we regard the international actions we take as aimed at winning someone’s approval or achieving success, as you said. We are doing what we are forced to do. We are defending people and the Russian language, which has been exposed to direct discrimination and aggression by the Poroshenko and Zelensky regimes in Ukraine.
🔹 Dragging Ukraine into NATO meant creating a direct threat right on the border of the Russian Federation.
⁉️ How would France react if Belgium, for example, banned French? Or what would England do if Ireland banned English? Just imagine for a moment that Finland banned Swedish. The European mind is unable to imagine this. But the whole of Europe did not care a dime about how they were treating Russian.
🔹 You said diplomats are being expelled by both sides. We have not expelled anyone. These sanctions, which are more like hysterics (or even agony, I’d say), were initiated by the West. The speed with which they were introduced and the number of them show that they were not compiled overnight. They were being drafted for some time, and they will not likely be lifted.

@medvedev_telegram: Biden’s stated, the US won’t provide Ukraine with the missile systems able to hit Russia. It’s reasonable. In the case of attack against our cities, Russia would strike the centres where these criminal decisions are made. Some of them aren’t in Kiev. What comes next is obvious

This little girl is two years old.
She heard sounds of heavy artillery outside the window and said: "War, mommy, war."
❗️Today, on International Children's Day, ask yourself:
What has this child done to deserve such a life?

📹 Last night, a video of the killed children of Donbass was projected on the US Embassy in Moscow.
The performance participants explained that they wanted to remind the world community that the United States, which has been sponsoring the Ukrainian authorities for many years, bears full responsibility for all the dead children of Donbass.

❗️Russian Embassy’s response ❗️
The Economic Times published an article headlined “Invading Nations is Wrong” by Mr Swaminathan S Anklesaria Aiyar.
The author, presumably an experienced economist and a laudable social investor, volunteered to express his opinion on Russia’s role in violence in Ukraine, that was started in 2014 by Ukraine against its own people. Mr Aiyar may have missed that since he seems to operate the clichés spread by mainstream global media, which missed it too.
The Embassy wishes Mr Aiyar never demonstrated complete ignorance of the subjects he chose to opine on, i.e. Russia’s motivation and intentions, the sovereignty of states and indivisible European security as well as on who does respect the international law and who does not. Apparently Mr Aiyar distinguishes between good and bad invaders as the Embassy is unable to find public utterances of his on incessant US illegitimate assaults on sovereign countries all over the world. Not to mention his warmongering calls to continue bloodshed in Ukraine.
The Embassy deeply regrets that, but Mr Aiyar has the right to share his views even if he’s wrong unless he violates the laws of the land on public calls to war (it is in Russia).
What he (and the Economic Times) don’t have the right to do is to compare the Russian President with Hitler - the convicted international criminal and the symbol of atrocities of unimaginable scale. The Soviet Union, including Russia, lost 27 million lives in the Second World War at the behest of Hitler. Hitler professed and practiced misanthropy and no one has the moral right to draw any kind of comparison between Russia’s policy on Ukraine and Hitler’s crimes. Except those who suffered from the latters. These survivors, although very few are still with us, including those in Ukraine, should Mr Aiyar like to know, stand with Russia and its anti-Nazi campaign.
The Embassy believes that Mr Aiyar owes an apology to the Russian President and the Russian people who he insulted. We also demand that the Economic Times removes the unacceptable distorted images of President Vladimir Putin from its outputs.
We call on the Indian journalist community to refrain from low-rated dissemination of fakes, dubious and belligerent content and keep up to the commonly accepted norms of professional ethics based on providing a well-balanced and well-grounded analysis of situation from all sides without exception.
We also would like to remind about the Advisory to satellite TV channels over "unauthentic, misleading, sensational" coverage of events, including the Russian military operation in Ukraine, issued by the Indian Ministry of Information & Broadcasting in April 2022 (https://tinyurl.com/mr2btt3j).

Against the backdrop of Kiev's political catastrophe in Mariupol and military failures in Donbass, the Kiev regime, with British financial support, has organised the production of "morale raise" videos for Western and Ukrainian audiences.
▫️In particular, on May 28, staged video was filmed near Meshkovka, Nikolaev Region, of the alleged "high efficiency" of the use of Western weaponry by Ukrainian nationalists.
▫️To add more drama to the future film, at the insistence of British supervisors, a re-enactment of never-existing battle between Ukrainian Nazis and outnumbered "Russian soldiers" was created on the set.
▫️The roles of "opponents" of the Ukrainian Nazis in the staged short film were performed by members of the local territorial defence unit wearing red armbands.
▫️In the absence of trophy Russian equipment, the mock enemy appears in the frame using Ukrainian APCs and armoured vehicles.
▫️The next video shoot is scheduled for June 5 and 6.

🇷🇺🇺🇳Russian Deputy Defence Minister Colonel-General Alexander Fomin met with UN Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs Martin Griffiths in Moscow to discuss the situation in Ukraine.
💥 High-precision air-based missiles have hit 21 areas of AFU manpower and military equipment concentration, including command posts of the Ukrainian Nazi formations Kraken and Azov near Kharkov.
⚠️ The inflow of foreign mercenaries to Ukraine to take part in combat operations against the Russian Armed Forces has virtually dried up since the beginning of May. According to the data at our disposal, the total number of foreign mercenaries in Ukraine has now been almost halved from 6,600 to 3,500. At the same time, the number of mercenaries in combat units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and National Guard in Donbass has decreased by orders of magnitude.
❗️ Militants of Ukrainian nationalist formations are detaining civilians in Zelenodolsk, Dnepropetrovsk Region, preventing them from returning to their homes in Vysokopolie and Novopetrovka, Kherson Region, which have been liberated by the Russian Armed Forces.
📹 The Ministry of Defence continues to publish footage of units in combat during the special military operation: operation of S-300PM2 Favorit anti-aircraft missile system, advance of airborne units during an offensive and work of repair and restoration units.

👉🏻‼️Read the extracts from the statement of Russian Permanent Representative to the OSCE Alexander Lukashevich “On ongoing crimes by Ukraine against civilian population with the support of Western alliance of OSCE participating States”, (meeting of the OSCE Permanent Council, 2 June 2022):
▫️What is happening in 🇺🇦 Ukraine is not a game, it’s about the fate of real people whom #Kiev regime actually took hostage.
▫️Ukrainian armed formations continue to commit crimes against the civilian population with extreme cynicism - there are children among the killed and injured from targeted shelling of residential areas
▫️Attacks of 🇺🇦 Ukrainian Armed Forces against civilians demonstrates that Kiev regime seeks to use the tactics of "scorched earth", destroy peaceful life to the ground where the ideas of Ukrainian national exceptionalism will no longer return
▫️The goal of 🇺🇦Kiev’s external minders is obvious - to prolong the armed confrontation, create a zone of long-lasting military and geopolitical instability in Eastern Europe near Russian 🇷🇺borders
▫️There has been cases of Illegal “redirection” of weapons supplied by NATO countries to Ukraine 🧨 to other zones of instability, for example, to non-government-controlled areas of Syria
▫️Spreading sleazy fakes about the actions of the Russian military has long been a favorite technique for representatives of the Kiev 🇺🇦 regime and some of its foreign sponsors. Such tactics are written off from the worst examples of Goebbels propaganda
▫️Recently, law enforcement agencies of the DPR released the SSU documents and video materials from which it follows that the special services of 🇺🇦Ukraine have been secretly spying on #OSCE employees and members of foreign diplomatic missions

#Opinion by Maria Zakharova:
💬 America’s reputation following the exposure of the Pentagon’s involvement in developing biological weapons and testing them on people in Kiev has finally become a matter of concern for Washington. The White House seems to have ordered an information campaign, which enabled American journalists, with the consent of the Ukrainian government, to visit one of the biological weapons laboratories.
To prove that the US never went beyond civilian research projects in Ukraine they organised a visit to one of these laboratories for CBS reporters who had to put together a story that would reassure America, as well as the international community.
How ridiculous, right?
What did they show these propaganda mouthpieces that allowed them to reassure everyone that the Pentagon’s biological programmes are safe? An obsolete sterilizer and Rambo the dog guarding the entrance to the building. What else do you need? The dog survived, so you will all survive, too. After all, there was nothing unusual about this dog, it didn’t grow a second head or anything, so you won’t either.
While we’re at it, I suggest we take a closer look at how they scripted this would-be report. With military-grade precision, it runs exactly 200 seconds. In it, we have:
- a 20 second introduction by the presenter about “Russian propaganda” which America believes for some reason
- another 20 seconds ridiculing Americans who believe “Russian propaganda”
- and 5 more seconds on “Russian disinformation,” probably to make sure everyone gets the message
- a 15 second sequence showing artillery strikes and a column of Russian tanks (what are they doing in a report on US biological research?)
- 10 seconds from Sergey Lavrov’s interview
- a 5 second recording from the Red Square parade (what does a Russian parade have to do with the Pentagon’s biological weapons programmes, especially considering that Moscow and Washington are quite far apart when it comes to defining notions like parades and pride?)
- for 30 seconds, the journalist talks with the laboratory’s chief researcher Dr. Natalia Vydaiko
- 10 seconds are devoted to a closed refrigerator and another 5 to an old sterilizer
- 3 seconds highlighted Rambo the dog.
But not a word about the Pentagon’s involvement in these programmes.
Why didn’t CBS show the fragment from Sergey Lavrov’s interview where he said that any involvement by the US Department of Defence in biological research is unacceptable? This is exactly what he said in the interview. What was the message of this report? And what was Russia lying about?
What kind of myth does this report debunk if no one even mentions the Pentagon?
By the way, Natalia Vydaiko’s English language proficiency was quite impressive. Of course, English language proficiency is the first thing that comes up during an interview for recruiting virologists in Ukraine, and Ms Vydaiko has been in the business for quite a while now. Back in 2010, she was asked to comment on the US opening a new reference laboratory in Odessa,
although back then she shied away from saying anything, probably because she had yet to get her English up to par. However, when the Pentagon sponsored a research conference in Ternopol in 2018, Ms Vydaiko attended it and even presented a report. It seems that by that time her language teachers had done their job.
In short, if the US media need someone they can talk to on biological security in Ukraine, Ms Vydaiko is their best option. I think this might not be the last time you hear about her from us.
According to available polls, a quarter of Americans believe that the US is developing biological weapons in Ukraine. I think this number rose to one third after this outstanding report.
Great job CBS. Keep up the good work!
