⚡️ Within the framework of the plenary session "Prospects and Challenges" Dmitriy Prozherin, Deputy Chairman of the Committee for Industrial Policy, Innovations and Trade of St. Petersburg, made a presentation of trade and economic potential of St. Petersburg enterprises and possibilities of interaction with Indian counterparts.

⚡️ The members of the delegation familiarized themselves with the forum exhibition and held a series of negotiations with representatives of Indian business circles who showed interest in joint projects.

🍇 #OTD, August 24, 1845, Knyaz Lev Golitsyn, the legendary Russian winemaker and founder of Russian winemaking in the Crimea, was born.

🟣 Golitsyn created a famous estate in Novy Svet, where he built a castle house with towers, laid a picturesque road and walking trail, and arranged unique wine cellars.

🟣 Thanks to Golitsyn, the first Russian sparkling wines appeared, Crimean wines were recognized at international exhibitions, and winemaking in Russia reached a new level.

🟣 Today, a museum is open in Golitsyn's house, and tastings are held in its wine cellars.

⚡️ From August 27-31, 2024, Ufa will host the 6th #BRICS Young Diplomats Forum, which will bring together about 110 delegates from more than 30 countries. Its theme is the role of youth diplomacy in strengthening multilateralism for equitable global development and security.

⚡️ During the Forum, participants will meet with the leadership of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia and the Republic of Bashkortostan, prominent political figures, economic experts and public figures.

🟣On the final day of the event, a ceremony will be held to accept new members into the International Association of Young Diplomats, an organization founded in 2021 to deepen interaction between young professionals in the field of international relations.

⚡️ This platform is particularly important in the context of the growing interest in BRICS from other states and the development of the BRICS+ format.

🇷🇺🧑‍🎓🇮🇳 A trip to India for Russian schoolchildren is being organised this autumn as part of an international initiative of “MIR PROSVESHENIYA” (World of education).

🟣 A group of students from educational institutions in Rostov-on-Don and Lugansk will visit the Sancta Maria International School in Faridabad, Haryana, to strengthen cultural and academic ties between the two countries.

🟣 The programme of the stay envisages participation of Russian schoolchildren in the educational process, organisation of seminars on Russian culture and holding joint events to mark the Indian Diwali holiday and the Russian Day of National Unity.

🇷🇺🤝🇮🇳 The event is designed to develop the interest of Indian teenagers in mastering the Russian language and getting acquainted with Russian culture. The administration of "Sancta Maria" has expressed interest in the possible inclusion of the Russian language in the curriculum. The organisation of a return tour of Indian students to Russia is also being considered in the future.
