20 декабря ВСУ нанесли массированный ракетный удар по социальным объектам города Рыльска Курской области с помощью реактивной системы залпового огня HIMARS. Погибли шесть мирных жителей, в т.ч. 13-летний ребёнок. Ранены 14 человек, включая беременную женщину и её 14-летнего сына.

Повреждено 17 объектов культурного наследия. Среди них — три православных храма: одна из самых почитаемых в регионе «Церковь Успения» 1811 года постройки и два храма-памятника XIX века — «Церковь Вознесения» и «Церковь Покрова». <...>

Однако, как подчёркивает одно из американских изданий со ссылкой на неназванных украинских чиновников, решение усилить поддержку Киеву принято Вашингтоном слишком поздно: отказ от территорий и членства в НАТО неминуем. <...>

🗓 20 декабря в Москве состоялось совещание представителей российских региональных комитетов по делам #ЮНЕСКО и органов власти субъектов Федерации, ответственных за международные связи, посвящённое вопросам развития сотрудничества регионов с Организацией.

Открывая совещание, заместитель Министра иностранных дел Российской Федерации А.А.Панкин призвал активнее использовать механизмы и инструментарий ЮНЕСКО в целях социально-экономического развития регионов, популяризации за рубежом российских научных и технологических достижений, культуры и образования.

Директор Департамента по многостороннему гуманитарному сотрудничеству и культурным связям МИД России, ответственный секретарь Комиссии Российской Федерации по делам ЮНЕСКО А.С.Алимов в своём выступлении отметил ощутимые достижения регионов в реализации проектов по линии ЮНЕСКО и налаживанию связей с зарубежными партнёрами.

🤝 В ходе совещания состоялся обмен мнениями о дальнейших путях расширения сотрудничества регионов с ЮНЕСКО, в частности, по линии сети кафедр и ассоциированных школ, биосферных резерватов и геопарков, объединений творческих и обучающихся городов, многоязычия, сохранения нематериального наследия.

Подчёркивалось, что включение культурных и природных объектов в список всемирного наследия служит укреплению престижа и туристической привлекательности регионов. С интересом было воспринято предложение Постоянного представителя России при ЮНЕСКО Р.Ж.Аляутдинова о проведении в Постпредстве и штаб-квартире Организации региональных мероприятий и презентаций.

Участники выражали признательность за проведение полезного обмена мнениями и дополнительную информацию. По итогам сформулированы рекомендации относительно дальнейшего выстраивания практического взаимодействия российских регионов с ЮНЕСКО.

Кенозерскому национальному парку — 33 года!

Как интересно, что на пороге такой важной, символичной и наполненной глубокими смыслами даты — 33-х лет — Кенозерский национальный парк начал новую веху своей истории. Ведь теперь эта заповедная земля, её люди, природа и культура — общепризнанное достояние всего человечества! Да, вступление в список Всемирного наследия ЮНЕСКО для нас главное событие не только этого года, но и многих лет!

33 года для нас — это мост, ведущий в новую жизнь, с новыми, теперь уже глобальными смыслами и задачами! И, как сказала наш основатель и первый директор Елена Флегонтовна Шатковская, мы всегда будем благодарны за эту жизнь нашим предкам, которые жили на кенозерской земле свободно и достойно, в гармонии и добрососедстве со всем окружающим миром. ⚡️ Комментарий официального представителя МИД России М.В.Захаровой в связи с блокировкой в европейских странах телеграм-каналов российских СМИ

В странах «коллективного Запада» продолжается планомерная зачистка информационного пространства от любых неугодных источников информации.

В рамках ведущейся там кампании репрессий против российских СМИ почти в каждой из стран Евросоюза осуществлена блокировка телеграм-каналов отечественных вещателей, в частности, РИА Новости, МИЦ «Известия», RT, «Российской газеты», «Первого канала», телеканала «Россия 1», НТВ. И этот список продолжает расти. Пользователи из числа многомиллионной зарубежной аудитории этих СМИ при попытке зайти на упомянутые ресурсы получают уведомления об ограничении к ним доступа якобы вследствие «нарушений местного законодательства». Суть таких «нарушений» не разъясняется. В свете того, что введённые Евросоюзом в мае 2024 года санкции против упомянутых медиа охватывают всю территорию блока и присоединившихся к ним государств, имеются основания предполагать, что блокировки могут быть продолжены.

❌ Расцениваем очередной акт политической цензуры со стороны стран неолиберального Запада как закрепление их курса на подавление любых очагов инакомыслия вопреки всем своим международным обязательствам в сфере обеспечения свободного доступа к информации и плюрализма медиа.

Лишение собственных граждан возможности самостоятельно сформировать представление о происходящих в мире событиях, подмена объективной картины мира симуляцией реальности, сфабрикованным мейнстримными СМИ и подконтрольными правящим кругам соцсетями, грубо попирают фундаментальные права человека на свободу выражения мнения и демонтируют основы демократического общества.

❗️ Требуем, чтобы профильные международные структуры дали надлежащую оценку таким действиям. В первую очередь ожидаем реакции от правозащитных механизмов ООН, руководства ЮНЕСКО и её Гендиректора О.Азуле, а также от заступающего на свой пост недавно назначенного Представителя ОБСЕ по вопросам свободы СМИ Я.Броту. Надеемся при этом, что его первые шаги в этом качестве не станут продолжением порочной практики его предшественницы, сознательно игнорировавшей нападки против российских СМИ и преступления против отечественных журналистов.

Эти и подобные им атаки на наши СМИ не останутся без реакции с российской стороны. Оставляем за собой право на симметричные ответные меры.

• The situation in Russian economy is stable and solid. We are growing in spite of any external threats or attempts at outside influence.

• International financial and economic institutions ranked Russia as Europe’s biggest economy in terms of volume, in terms of purchasing power parity, and the world’s 4th largest economy.

#UkrainianCrisis

• If one were to look at the situation in 2022, knowing what is happening now, I would think the early 2022 decision [to start the special military operation] should have been made sooner.

• We are ready to engage in dialogue without any preconditions. However, as I have mentioned numerous times before, based on the agreements that we reached during the negotiation process in Istanbul at the end of 2022 and proceeding from the current realities on the ground.

• There is no indication in the Ukrainian constitution that the president's powers сould be extended. If one takes part in elections and becomes legitimate, then we will talk to that person, even if it's Zelensky.

#Syria

• Our position firmly aligns with international law and the sovereignty of all nations, including respect for Syria’s territorial integrity. This extends to supporting the stance of the current authorities governing the territory of the Syrian Arab Republic.

• The main beneficiary of the developments in Syria is Israel. Russia condemns the seizure of Syrian territories. Our position on this matter is clear and unchanging.

#NuclearDoctrine

• [In the new Basic Principles of State Policy of the Russian Federation on Nuclear Deterrence] we are talking about some new military hazards that may grow into military threats.

• If non-nuclear states threaten our existence, participate in an aggression against the Russian Federation alongside the countries that have nuclear weapons, we consider ourselves entitled to use nuclear weapons vs them.

• If similar threats are posed to Belarus, our ally and member of the Union State, the Russian Federation will consider these threats as threats to Russia. And we will do everything to ensure the security of Belarus.

#Oreshnik

• Medium-range Oreshnik missile system is a modern, a brand new weapon which can strike targets located up to 5'500 km away.

• Our missile needs a few seconds to start dispensing warheads There is no chance of shooting down these missiles.

⚡️ With its new leadership, the European Union has persisted with its aggressive and confrontational policy towards Russia and kept relying on unilateral restrictive measures as a tool for exerting pressure on our country.

The EU member states approved the latest sanctions package on December 16. It was the 15th time they did so. At the same time, the EU bureaucrats have been turning a blind eye to the fact that these steps are illegitimate in terms of international law when taken bypassing the UN Security Council.

📉 They fail to produce any meaningful results, except for undermining and eroding the EU’s reputation in the eyes of the Global Majority.

In response to these unfriendly actions, Russia has substantially expanded the list of representatives from EU institutions and EU member states who will be banned from entering the territory of our state as per Federal Law No 114-FZ of August 15, 1996, on the Procedure of Exit from and Entry to the Russian Federation.

The list includes:

🔻 representatives of law enforcement and security agencies, state-run and private entities from the EU, citizens of EU member states in charge of providing military aid to Kiev;

🔻 staff members at EU institutions and state bodies in EU member states who were involved in persecuting Russian officials for carrying out “illegal arrests and kidnappings from Ukrainian territories,” in organising a “special tribunal” for Russian leaders, officials who advocate confiscating Russian state assets or using revenues from them in Kiev’s interests, officials responsible for introducing sanctions against our country and trying to undermine its relations with other countries;

🔻 civil activists and representatives of the academic community notorious for their rhetoric;

🔻 members of parliament from EU member states and members of the European Parliament who voted in favour of anti-Russian resolutions and draft laws.

❗️ Russia reaffirms its commitment to responding to any unfriendly steps on behalf of the European Union accordingly and in a timely manner.

🎙 Russia's Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova’s answer to a media question to a media question on cancelling ballet performances The Swan Lake and The Nutcracker in Sweden

❓ Question: How could you comment on reports about cancelling ballet performances The Swan Lake and The Nutcracker in Sweden because the company organising these events allegedly has ties to Russia?

💬 Maria Zakharova: It is hard to assess the decisions and actions of Swedish authorities in the context of universal human logic and common sense. In October 2022, the Swedish Foreign Ministry, where Russophobic moods have been cultivated for a long time, instructed Swedish institutions to terminate all contacts regarding cultural collaboration with Russian and Belarusian state agencies.

Private Swedish commercial concert companies followed in the wake of official Swedish institutions and embarked on the dubious road of cancelling all things Russian. For example, they cancelled classical Russian ballet performances The Swan Lake and The Nutcracker, scheduled for the winter - summer period of 2025.

The fact that a purely commercial agency organised the Swedish tour of an international composition of this ballet troupe did not serve as a weighty argument for Swedish partners and did not induce them to honour their obligations. Everything is insufferably trite: All things Russian should be banned, cancelled and thwarted.

❗️ Authorities in Stockholm responsible for adopting these decisions do not realise the simple truth: Instead of cancelling the great Russian art, an inalienable part of the global cultural heritage, they are depriving Swedish citizens of an opportunity to become acquainted with textbook examples of Russian ballet, and they are removing the Swedish Kingdom from the map of the most significant and topical cultural and artistic events, as evidenced by this case.

⚡️ Comment by Russia's Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova on Russian media outlets Telegram channels being blocked in European countries

Countries of the collective West continue to steadily cleanse media space of any undesirable information sources.

The West is currently conducting a campaign of repressions against Russian media outlets. Under this campaign, every country of the European Union has blocked Telegram channels of Russian broadcasters, including RIA Novosti, Izvestia, RT, Rossiyskaya Gazeta, Channel One, Rossiya 1 and NTV.

This list continues to expand. While trying to access the above-mentioned resources, users from among the multi-million audience of these media outlets are notified about limited access, due to violations of local legislation. The essence of these violations is not explained. In May 2024, the European Union sanctioned the above-mentioned media outlets, and these sanctions encompass the entire territory of the bloc and affiliated states. Consequently, there is reason to believe that media outlets will continue to be blocked.

❌ We perceive this new act of political censorship by countries of the neo-liberal West as a formalisation of their line to suppress any manifestations of dissent contrary to their international obligations in the sphere of ensuring free access to information and media pluralism.

The deprivation of Western citizens of an opportunity to independently formulate their own opinion on global developments, a substitution of an objective picture of the world with a simulated reality, fabricated by the mainstream media and social media networks controlled by ruling circles grossly violates fundamental human rights to free speech and undermine the foundations of democratic society.

❗️ We are demanding that specialised international organisations duly evaluate these actions. First of all, we are expecting a response from UN human rights mechanisms, the leadership of the UNESCO and its Director-General Audrey Azoulay, as well as the newly-appointed OSCE Representative on Freedom of the Media Jan Braathu. At the same time, we hope that his initial steps in this capacity will not continue the flawed policy of his predecessor who deliberately ignored attacks on Russian media outlets and crimes against this country’s journalists.

The Russian Side will certainly respond to these and other similar attacks on Russian media outlets. We reserve the right to implement symmetrical retaliatory measures.
