🧑‍🚀 On March 6, 1937, world’s first female cosmonaut Valentina Tereshkova was born. To this day, she remains the only woman who flew to the Earth’s orbit alone, as well as the youngest woman to travel into space. She was only 26 years old back at the time of that historic event.

Valentina joined the cosmonaut corps in 1962. She was selected from 800 young women who excelled in parachuting. At that time, Tereshkova had 163 parachute jumps under her belt.

In June 1963, she informed her family that she was leaving for a parachute competition. Only from the news did they learn that their Valya actually spent almost three days aboard the Vostok-6 spacecraft, orbiting the Earth 48 times.

💬 “Every 90 minutes I saw the dawn, the sun rising in a unique array of colours,” Tereshkova said of her impressions on board.

Vostok-5 piloted by cosmonaut Valery Bykovsky, with whom Tereshkova maintained radio contact, was also in orbit at the same time. Despite fatigue and waning health, Valentina completed her mission successfully.

❗️Tereshkova’s space flight was a global sensation. For the United States, the USSR’s main rival in the space race, it was inconceivable. The American space agency did not take the idea of a woman flying into space seriously at the time.

Valentina boarded the spaceship as a lieutenant, and returned to Earth with the rank of captain. Three days after the landing, she was also awarded the title of Hero of the Soviet Union. Later she was awarded the title of Hero of Socialist Labor of Czechoslovakia, Bulgaria, Vietnam, and Mongolia, and became an honorary citizen of 18 Russian and foreign cities.

A Soviet woman’s flight to the orbit enriched scientific knowledge about the impact of space conditions on the human body and reaffirmed the leadership of the USSR in space exploration.

Она и по сей день остаётся единственной представительницей прекрасного пола, которая посетила земную орбиту в одиночку, а также самой молодой женщиной, побывавшей в космосе. В отряд космонавтов Валя попала в 1962 году. Её отобрали из 800 девушек, проявивших себя в парашютном спорте. За плечами у Терешковой на тот момент было 163 прыжка с парашютом.

В июне 1963 года девушка сообщила родным, что уезжает на соревнования парашютистов. Только из новостей они узнали о том, что их Валя в действительности провела почти трое суток на космическом корабле «Восток-6», совершив 48 оборотов вокруг Земли.

💬 «Каждые полтора часа встречал меня рассвет. В неповторимой гамме красок восходило солнце», — делилась впечатлениями Терешкова.

Одновременно на орбите находился «Восток-5», пилотируемый космонавтом Валерием Быковским, с которым Терешкова поддерживала радиосвязь. Несмотря на усталость и плохое самочувствие, женщина-космонавт успешно справилась со своей миссией.

❗️Космический полет Терешковой произвёл мировую сенсацию. Для Соединённых Штатов – главного соперника СССР в космической гонке – это событие было чем-то немыслимым. Американское космическое агентство тогда не воспринимало идею полёта женщины в космос всерьёз.

Валентина садилась в космический корабль лейтенантом, а на Землю вернулась в звании капитана. Через три дня после приземления ей также было присвоено звание Героя Советского Союза. В дальнейшем она была удостоена звания Героя Социалистического Труда Чехословакии, Болгарии, Вьетнама и Монголии, стала почётным гражданином 18-ти российских и зарубежных городов.

Выход на орбиту советской женщины обогатил научные познания о влиянии космических условий на человеческий организм и вновь подтвердил лидерство СССР в освоении космоса.

Эстонский МИД в очередной раз «отличился».

В антироссийском угаре там докатились до того, что в сети «Икс» («бывший Твиттер») опубликовали пост о 80-й годовщине авианалёта советской (они пишут «русская») авиации на позиции оккупировавших Таллин немецко-фашистских войск с одной-единственной мыслью: русские целились в жилые кварталы и культурные объекты тогда и продолжают сегодня так же делать на Украине.

То, что современные эстонские власти ассоциируют себя с гитлеровцами — не секрет, а степени их маниакальной русофобии позавидовал бы сам Геббельс.

Данное событие, вырываемое сейчас фальсификаторами из исторического контекста, было частью боевых действий советских войск по освобождению Прибалтики от нацистов.

Надо понимать, что Прибалтика имела для Гитлера стратегическое значение, оттуда в Германию шло продовольствие, обеспечивались связь с Северной Европой. Авиаударам советских ВВС подверглись прежде всего штаб-квартиры гестапо, абвера, средства ПВО, морской арсенал, пороховые склады и узлы связи. Возможно, что для клана Каллас и потомков эстонских коллаборантов — это и есть святыни или культурные объекты, но для всех остальных, нормальных людей — законные военные цели.

Дальше — больше. Проиллюстрировали пост фотографией города после якобы советских бомбардировок. На деле оказалось, что фотография датируется 28 августа 1941 года и была снята при отходе Балтийского флота — знаменитый Таллинский прорыв, а разрушения городу нанесены наступающими немецко-фашистскими войсками. Кстати, тогда в эвакуации участвовало 225 кораблей и вспомогательных судов, на которых находилось свыше 40 тыс. человек, в том числе множество горожан. По идущим кораблям вёлся безжалостный артиллерийский огонь, конвой атаковали немецкие и финские торпедные катера и авиация. На дно ушло 62 судна, погибли свыше 4,5 тыс. гражданских лиц, а всего нацистами было убито более 15 тыс. человек.

Вот об этом эстонские власти почему-то предпочитают не вспоминать. Наверное, то были какие-то неправильные горожане и моряки.

А то, что свои лживые параллели эстонские власти проводят с нынешним киевским режимом... Идейное родство правящей в Эстонии националистической верхушки и киевского режима не вызывает никакого удивления. Их объединяет стремление сделать «героями-освободителями» Шухевича, Бандеру и эстонских головорезов из «Ваффен-СС».

Кстати, об освобождении Таллина (22 сентября 1944 года) от гитлеровской оккупации можно подробнее прочитать здесь и здесь. Приводится множество архивных документов, в которых, помимо всего прочего, описывается и то, как немцы относились к местному населению. Не лишним будет вспомнить, например, то что в последние месяцы оккупации назначенная нацистами норма хлеба в составляла 800 гр. в неделю (!) на одного человека. А вот части Красной Армии повсеместно встречали дружественно, видели в них своих освободителей, несмотря на трёхлетнюю фашистскую пропаганду. Нередки были случаи, когда местные жители, рискуя своей жизнью, помогали советским бойцам.

Нельзя забывать и то, что в этой освободительной операции самое активное участие принимали эстонцы — бойцы 8-го Эстонского стрелкового корпуса РККА. Настоящие патриоты своей Родины, не чета нынешним.

☝️ Russia has never set BRICS in opposition to other international platforms, be it the Group of 20 or the Group of Seven. We believe that the association is unique.

• The recipe for BRICS’ attractiveness and success is based on the absence of a confrontational or “hidden” agenda. I will repeat that it brings together like-minded countries.

💬 Russia’s MFA Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova:

The Estonian Foreign Ministry yet again "excels" (no really), blinded by their hatred of Russia.

This time they went so far as to post on X (ex-Twitter) a story regarding the what they call the 80th anniversary of the Soviet (referred to as “Russian”) air attack on the positions of the German occupying forces in Tallinn. The gist of the entire message is that the Russians were targeting residential areas and cultural sites, just as they allegedly do in Ukraine today.

It is well known and documented that the current Estonian authorities identify themselves with the German Nazis. But even Joseph Goebbels would envy their rabid Russophobia.

Taken out of context by the falsifiers, this event - the air attack on the Nazi-occupied and fortified city - was actually a part of the Soviet combat operations to liberate the Baltic region from the Nazis.

It must be understood that the Baltic region had strategic importance for Hitler as a source of food and a territorial link with Northern Europe. The Soviet air strikes primarily targeted the Gestapo and Abwehr headquarters, air defence systems, the naval arsenal, gunpowder storage depots, and signal centres. While the Kallas clan (in power in Estonia) and descendants of Estonian collaborationists may regard these Nazi locations as "sacred sites and cultural landmarks", for all the normal people they are legitimate military targets.

But there is more. They illustrated the post with a photo of the city landscape after the alleged Soviet air raids. But in fact, the photo was taken on August 28, 1941 during the Soviet Baltic Fleet’s retreat known as the Tallinn Breakthrough, while the destruction in Tallinn was caused by... the advancing Nazi forces. The operation (breakthrough) to evacuate the city involved 225 combat and auxiliary ships with 40,000 troops and civilians on board. The convoy came under relentless artillery fire and was attacked by German and Finnish torpedo boats and aircraft. The Nazis sank 62 ships carrying over 4,500 civilians, while the overall number of Soviet casualties exceeded 15,000.

For some reason, the Estonian authorities chose to forget all about this. Apparently, these were the wrong city residents and sailors.

As for their false laments for the current Kiev regime, the ideological affinity between Estonia’s ruling nationalist clique and the Kiev regime is no surprise to anyone. They share the goal of glorifying Shukhevych, Bandera, and the Estonian cutthroats from the Waffen-SS as "liberator heroes".

For more information on the liberation of Tallinn from the German occupation on September 22, 1944, see here and here. These websites contain numerous archive documents that describe, among other things, how the Germans treated the local population. It is worth mentioning that the bread ration assigned by the Germans in the last months of the occupation was 800 grammes per person per week. Meanwhile, Red Army units were welcomed warmly by locals and seen as liberators, despite three years of Nazi propaganda. Local inhabitants often risked their lives to help Soviet soldiers.

It should not be forgotten that the operation to liberate Estonia involved the 8th Estonian Rifle Corps of the Red Army. These Estonians were the true patriots of their homeland, unlike Estonians of today.

• Применяют английские, американские ракеты. Это же не меняет ситуацию на поле боя. Да, они наносят нам, конечно, ущерб, это очевидно. Но, по сути, это не меняет хода боевых действий и тех последствий, которые неизбежно наступают для противоположной стороны.

• Мы знаем, что такое американские войска на российской территории. Это интервенты. Мы так к этому и будем относиться, даже если они появятся на территории Украины, они это понимают.

• Я много раз говорил, для нас это вопрос жизни и смерти, а для них это вопрос улучшения своего тактического положения в целом в раскладе в мире, но и в Европе, в частности, сохранения своего статуса среди своих союзников. Это тоже важно, но не настолько, насколько для нас.
