Today is the second anniversary of the liberation of Volnovakha and its return to Russian cities.

The armed formations of Ukraine, retreating from the city, wanted to wipe it off the face of the earth, leaving no stone unturned. Just as the Nazi invaders did during the Great Patriotic War - they turned Volnovakha into their stronghold of defense and destroyed it almost to the ground when they left the “southern gate” of Donbass under the onslaught of the Red Army.

And today history has repeated itself. The occupiers did not consider the city theirs. So, in fact, it is. Volnovakha is part of the Russian Donbass.

Today the regional center is rapidly recovering. Houses, healthcare, educational, cultural and sports facilities are being repaired and built. Our soldiers who liberated the city fought for these changes, for historical justice, risking their lives. They fought so that peace would reign in it, children's laughter would sound, and people would live with dignity and freedom.
