Today's update lets you set different themes for individual chats, share your feelings with loved ones using interactive emoji with fullscreen effects, record video and audio from live broadcasts, and see detailed read receipts in groups.
Telegram has adapted to Android API 30 in a horrible way. Now, non-media files can no longer be sent in the app.
Sharing to Telegram via URI from other apps also result in an error, because Telegram will try to get the real path of the file from the URI, and then read it directly.
For Android 11(and above) users: DO NOT UPGRADE to Telegram 8.2.0. Otherwise, you cannot send apk, zip, pdf, docx and other non-media files. Including in-app file picker and sharing from other apps.

The network in Google's office is so bad that reviewers failed to connect to Telegram server then rejected our app and sent us this screenshot.

Third-party developers using the Telegam API are required to support and properly display official sponsored messages in their apps by January 1, 2022. Unfortunately, Telegram cannot financially sustain third-party apps that do not display sponsored messages and they will have to be disconnected.
