Russian news crew captures Ukrainian shelling on the outskirts of Donetsk city. You can hear shrapnel falling all around
The first Russian humanitarian aid convoy has entered the Ukrainian city of Melitopol, along with us.
120 tonnes of canned foods, wheat, sugar, salt and more have been distributed to thousands of people.
The mood in the city is calm, fighting is now far away and looters have disappeared.
On the whole, most people were friendly towards Russian troops, expressing hate of nationalist and neo-nazi groups which have increasingly terrorized the population.
But there were others; two provocateurs who came at different times to live stream what was happening, condemn “taking food from the aggressor”. Both didn’t stay long, retreating when the crowds began booing and hurling insults at them.
Our footage and the opinions of locals soon on RT

Satellite imagery company Maxar publishes footage of a 64 kilometer-long Russian military convoy
Destroyed Ukrainian military vehicles on the streets of Melitopol.
In comparison to other cities, the battle for Melitopol was somewhat tame. Ukrainian units in the city attempted to retreat when Russian airborne troops began to storm Melitopol. Visibly, there is very little damage to civilian infrastructure.
The military operation is over. The next phase is being carried out not be troops, but by prosecutors and investigators, who are now identifying and arresting member of nationalist and neo-nazi groups who are still in Melitopol, and who wete complicit in horrific crimes not only in the Donbass, but all over Ukraine.
As they do their job, we will find out the true scale of radical right-wing purges and terror in Ukraine; locals say the media has only touched the tip of the iceberg

A captured Ukrainian military base near the city of Kherson - dozens of abandoned tanks, APC’s, trucks and other vehicles have been seized by Russian forces.
4,500 tonnes of ammunition, tanks rounds, guided missiles and more were also seized in ammunition depots.
Almost all of the vehicles captured are intact, and are now being towed and stored in a secure area, pending a decision on what to do with them

Ukrainian troops at this base “were abandoned by their commanders”, say the Russian troops who seized it, pointing at the chaotic state the base was left it.
An estimated three to four thousand troops were stationed here, and they all left in the span of just hours, after learning that Russian forces were approaching from news reports and phone calls from locals.
There were no signs of combat here. Everywhere, were abandoned uniforms, personal belongings and documents.
Most of the troops are believed to have deserted, thrown away their military uniforms and mingled with civilians in nearby cities and villages

Ukrainian troops and “volunteers” allegedly block thousands of civilians from leaving the city of Irpen.
Bans on evacuation for refugees have also been reported in other Ukrainian cities, such as Kharkov, where Ukrainian forces have allegedly even shot at unarmed civilians trying to flee the fighting

Russian rocket artillery (MLRS) firing a salvo at Ukrainian army positions in Ukraine’s Kherson region
3,000 Americans have volunteered to join Ukraine’s “Foreign Legion” and fight against Russian forces - Voice of America citing the Ukrainian Embassy in the US
The US government has allowed American companies to continue buying Russian oil via third-country banks, which have not joined in on sanctions against Russia. In effect, American companies will now pay unaffiliated banks for Russian oil, and that money will then be transferred to Russia.
Bankers in Hong Kong have already offered lucrative conditions as intermediaries.
In essence, Americans will now pay more for Russian oil, China-controlled banks will get a fat cut, and Russia will get just as much money as it did previously.
