Sources report that the oil tanker collided with an Iranian commercial vessal, causing several people to be injured and others to fall overboard.
The Marshall Islands flagged tanker then left the scene without assisting the Iranian ship and crew, leading to an intervention by the IRGC-N.
The tanker has now been confiscated into Iran's territorial waters, near Chahbahar.
