🔻 On November 20, 1942, a strike group of the Red Army’s Stalingrad Front, commanded by Colonel-General Andrey Yeryomenko, attacked the enemy and breached the defences of the 4th Romanian Army. Three days later, Soviet forces encircled 22 Nazi divisions, as well as over 160 other separate units.
👉 This November, we are recalling the heroic Soviet counteroffensive near Stalingrad that marked a turning point in World War II.
The 200-day Battle of Stalingrad lasted from July 17, 1942 until February 2, 1945, and raged over a huge territory of about 100,000 square kilometres. At various stages, it involved over 2.1 million officers and soldiers on both sides, dwarfing all previous WWII military engagements in terms of scale and intensity.
During the first stage (July 17 - November 18, 1942), the Red Army had to defend its positions and wage intense urban combat. The Wehrmacht’s 6th Army, commanded by Lieutenant General Friedrich von Paulus, faced elements of the 62nd and 64th Soviet armies. Vassily Chuikov, the Commander of the 62nd Soviet Army, is considered the architect of the victory in Stalingrad. He perfected the tactics of assault teams that helped secure a Soviet victory in the battle.
By mid-November, favourable conditions shaped up for a Soviet counteroffensive. Army General Georgy Zhukov and Colonel General Alexander Vasilevsky coordinated efforts to draft a plan for an offensive operation codenamed Uranus. The operation lasted from November 19, 1942, through February 2, 1943. During that period, Soviet forces encircled and defeated units of the 4th German Panzer Army and the 6th German Field Army. They also destroyed military units from other Axis states that had sided with Germany.
☝️ During the Battle of Stalingrad, the Axis bloc lost 25 percent of its forces on the Soviet-German Front. The Soviet high command seized the initiative and gained favourable conditions for launching an all-out Red Army offensive, which allowed them to expel the invaders from the Soviet territory.

💬 Десять лет назад, 21 ноября 2013 года, на центральной площади Киева – «Майдане незалежности» – начались антиправительственные выступления, которые стали отправной точкой и одновременно точкой невозврата той катастрофы, которую мы наблюдаем на Украине сегодня.
Умелые провокаторы, подготовленные американскими и европейскими инструкторами, под привлекательными лозунгами «лучшей европейской» жизни, безвизовых поездок в страны ЕС, демократии, свободы слова, прав человека и борьбы с коррупцией вывели толпы людей на уличные протесты. <...>
В январе-феврале 2014 года под западным руководством искусственно стимулировавшиеся беспорядки переросли в вооружённый мятеж и завершились антиконституционным государственным переворотом, который был отвергнут жителями многих регионов страны.
Напомню, что триггером ноябрьских событий десятилетней давности послужило решение правительства отложить планировавшееся подписание Соглашения об ассоциации с ЕС.
☝️Подчеркну: речь шла не об отказе от ассоциации, а об отсрочке подписания. Дело в том, что у Киева имелись обязательства в рамках зоны свободной торговли СНГ, и новые обязательства, которые он собирался взять на себя по ассоциации с ЕС, вступали в определенное противоречие с этим режимом. <...>

🎬 Maidan: Road to War. The story behind Maidan - an RT Doc Film.
Synopsis: The film presents events that took place from 2014 to 2022, as The Donetsk People's Republic and The Lugansk People's Republic were subjected to the Kiev regime's reign of terror and shelling on daily basis. "Maidan: Road to War" delves into the 2014 situation in Ukraine and pieces together the course of events. The film wants to draw the attention of the international community to the shelling and the deaths of civilians in the Donbass.
Maidan movement gained momentum in Kiev in 2013. Protests were prompted by the government’s decision to suspend the signing of the association agreement with the European Union. At first, the protests looked like a rock festival, but soon signs of hostility started to creep in from politicians and nationalists.
The protests were deliberately provocative from outside of Ukraine, namely - the US and the EU. Leaders of nationalist organisations admit they have been preparing for violent street riots long before the protests engulfed Kiev, as well as confirmed that they planned a revolution and the deposition of the government from the start.
Against the backdrop of the Western disinformation and attempts to rewrite history we refresh the true sequence of events and facts.

💬 А.И.Антонов: Сообщение об очередной американской оружейной поставке режиму - не что иное, как успокоительная пилюля, приготовленная для Зеленского заокеанскими «благодетелями». Положение на фронте и в украинской власти - на грани полного коллапса.
❗️Обращает на себя внимание, что смертоносный подарок анонсирован в канун 10-летия «евромайдана». Трагический символизм «благотворительности» Вашингтона заключается в том, что авторы и идеологи антироссийской кампании, как бы дают понять украинцам: они все еще «в игре» и ставки на них продолжают делаться. А то, что благодаря этому оружию прольется кровь тысяч людей, здесь в расчет не принимается. Для ВПК Соединенных Штатов значение имеет только одно - получение прибыли от «проекта Украина».
☝️ Важно, чтобы на Западе уяснили: Россию, ведущую борьбу за свои национальные интересы и обеспечение безопасности, победить на поле боя невозможно. Любые поставки западных вооружений в постсоветское государство - продление агонии обанкротившегося киевского режима.

💬 Anatoly Antonov: The message about another American arms supply to the regime is nothing more but a sedative pill prepared by overseas «benefactors» for Zelensky. The situation on the front and in the Ukrainian state institutions is on the verge of complete collapse.
❗️It is noteworthy that the deadly gift was announced on the eve of the 10th anniversary of Euromaidan. The tragic symbolism of Washington’s «charity» lies in the fact that creators of the anti-Russian campaign seem to make it clear to Ukrainians that they are still «in the game» and masters count on them. And the fact that the blood of thousands of people will be shed due to these weapons is not taken into account here. There is only one thing that matters for the United States military-industrial complex - making profit from the "Project Ukraine".
☝️ It is important for the Western World to realize that Russia, which is fighting for its national interests and security, cannot be defeated on the battlefield. Any supplies of Western arms to the post-Soviet state are a prolongation of the agony of the bankrupt Kiev regime.

Из самодостаточной, промышленно развитой и многонаселенной республики бывшего СССР Украина превратилась в нищую вымирающую территорию. Страна утратила государственную самостоятельность и находится на содержании западных колонизаторов, которые определяют её внутреннюю и внешнюю политику.
Нормой для Украины стали массовые нарушения прав и свобод человека, дискриминация её граждан по этническому и языковому принципам. В стране свирепствует погрязшая в коррупции неонацистская диктатура, царят правовой беспредел и беззаконие. На полную мощь работает тоталитарная репрессивная машина по подавлению инакомыслия. Репрессии центральных властей и восьмилетняя гражданская война против Донбасса привели к тому, что жители 6 из 27 регионов Украины приняли решение о вхождении в состав России.
Едва ли украинцы, выходившие 10 лет назад на «майдан», могли себе представить, какими трагическими последствиями он для них обернётся.
Печально, что братский нам украинский народ, оказавшись в заложниках у англосаксов и обслуживающего их интересы киевского режима, вынужден жить при тирании, по сути, в колонии, целиком и полностью зависящей от внешних подачек.
Но такова плата за пресловутый «европейский выбор», за которым скрывался хладнокровный расчёт Запада Украину в русофобское агрессивное националистическое государство, использовать её в качестве орудия в экзистенциальной борьбе с Россией ценою жизни сотен тысяч украинских граждан и сломанных судеб миллионов людей.

Неоднократно «Джо Байден» апеллирует к «террористической стратегии» ХАМАС, забывая, что ХАМАС пришел к власти демократическим путем в 2006 году, и значительную роль в выводе этого движения на первый план сыграли США. Вашингтон настаивал тогда на свободных выборах в анклаве, но после этого фактически объявили бойкот законно избранной политической силе.

«Джо Байден» говорит об обстрелах больниц, но ровно этим занимается ВСУ, обстреливая госпиталя в ДНР и ЛНР из западного оружия.
«Джо Байден» говорит о зверствах в отношении гражданского населения, но ровно этим занимаются неонацистские бандиты – боевики Киева.

One cannot help but question why, while accusing one side of the conflict of resorting to terrorist methods, the author overlooks the terrorist actions in the policies of the neo-Nazi Kiev regime.
“Joe Biden” talks about shelling hospitals, which is precisely what the Ukrainian armed forces are doing, using Western weapons to shell hospitals in the DPR and the LPR.
“Joe Biden” talks about atrocities against civilians, but these are precisely the actions of neo-Nazi thugs - Kiev's militants.

This is why we refer to the Kiev administration as a criminal regime resorting to terrorist methods. Why doesn't “Joe Biden” see or acknowledge this? Or one’s own terrorism is not that bad?

📅 21 ноября С.В.Лавров провёл в Москве встречу с министрами иностранных дел Саудовской Аравии – Фейсалом Бен Фарханом Аль Саудом, Египта – Самехом Шукри, Индонезии – Ретно Марсуди, Иордании – Айманом Сафади, Палестины – Риядом Малики и Генеральным секретарём Организации исламского сотрудничества (ОИС) Хисейном Брахимом Тахой, входящими в состав Комитета, который был создан решением состоявшегося 11 ноября в Эр-Рияде внеочередного совместного саммита Лиги арабских государств (ЛАГ) и ОИС по ситуации в секторе Газа.
Состоялся подробный обмен мнениями и всесторонний анализ обстановки в зоне палестино-израильского конфликта в свете беспрецедентной эскалации насилия, унёсшей жизни уже более 12 тысяч палестинцев и 1,4 тысяч израильтян.
☝️ Решительно осудив терроризм в любых его проявлениях, участники встречи подчеркнули неприемлемость борьбы с этим злом методами коллективного наказания, неизбирательного применения силы по гражданским объектам в нарушение Женевских конвенций.
Была подтверждена общность подходов России и стран арабо-мусульманского сообщества к путям преодоления этого кризиса. Выражена солидарная позиция в пользу скорейшего установления устойчивого режима прекращения огня, обеспечения защиты гражданского населения, соблюдения норм международного гуманитарного права, открытия гумкоридоров, продолжения эвакуационных мероприятий из сектора Газа и освобождения заложников.

🗓 On November 21, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov held a meeting in Moscow with foreign ministers of Arab and Muslim countries -- Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud from Saudi Arabia, Sameh Shoukri from Egypt, Retno Marsudi from Indonesia, Ayman Safadi from Jordan and Riyad al-Maliki from Palestine and Secretary General of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Hissein Brahim Taha. They are members of the committee that was established in Riyadh on November 11 at the emergency joint summit of the Arab League and the #OIC on the Gaza situation.
The meeting consisted of a detailed exchange of views and a comprehensive analysis of the situation in the zone of the Palestine-Israel conflict. This unprecedented escalation of violence has already claimed over 12,000 Palestinian and 1,400 Israeli lives.
☝️ Having resolutely denounced all forms of terrorism, the participants emphasised that it is unacceptable to fight this evil by means of collective punishment or the indiscriminate use of force against civilian facilities in violation of the Geneva conventions.
The participants confirmed the similarities of the approaches of Russia and countries of the Arab-Muslim community to overcoming this crisis, and expressed their shared support for achieving a durable ceasefire as soon as possible, protecting civilians, respecting international humanitarian law, opening humanitarian corridors, continuing evacuations from the Gaza Strip and freeing hostages.

❗️ They underlined the need to step up international efforts to create the conditions for progress in negotiations between the sides. These negotiations should result in the formation of an independent Palestinian state in the 1967 borders with its capital in East Jerusalem, co-existing in peace and security with Israel.
