💬 We will remember the Russian peacekeepers who, as always, absorbed the blow for the sake of peace in the region.
The miserable ingratitude with which the unscrupulous tried to question their activities will not overshadow their heroic efforts, but will mark the slanderers with eternal shame.
And now for the facts.
As of the beginning of 2022, Yerevan had three trilateral statements made by the leaders of Russia, Azerbaijan and Armenia, dated November 9, 2020, January 11, 2021 and November 26, 2021, which served as a political and practical roadmap for how to completely organise life in the region in a peaceful and mutually respectful way that considers the interests of all parties.
Yerevan chose not to implement what it signed, but to try its luck with NATO/EU. It was through the mediation of Brussels and the main adviser, Paris, that on October 6, 2022, at the summit in Prague, a Statement was adopted following the results of a quadrilateral meeting of the leaders of Azerbaijan, Armenia, France and the EU. It reads:
“Azerbaijan and Armenia reaffirm their commitment to the UN Charter and the 1991 Alma-Ata Protocols, through which they recognise each other’s territorial integrity and sovereignty.” That is, Nagorno-Karabakh is part of Azerbaijan. At the same time, the text says nothing about the need to ensure the rights and safety of the people living in the region.
It was officially published on October 7, 2022.
It was Yerevan’s final solution to the issue of Nagorno-Karabakh. Why Nikol Pashinyan and the Armenian authorities chose to do this and why Paris and Brussels pushed official Yerevan to do so: these questions must be addressed to them.

The Canadian authorities continue to make a spectacle of themselves over the celebration of Ukrainian Nazi veteran Yaroslav Hunka (Gunko) in their parliament. To deflect public attention from themselves, they decided to put the blame on ex-speaker Anthony Rota. Prime Minister Trudeau has presented “unreserved apologies” for “unknowingly recognising” the man.
It is a lie, of course. Everyone knew who he was.
Do you believe that Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland, a long-time devotee of the Ukrainian Canadian Congress and the Ukrainian World Congress (UWC) and the granddaughter of a Nazi accomplice Michael Chomiak, didn’t know about the inglorious past of Hunka, a “friend” and a long-time sponsor of the Ukrainian Canadian Congress? Really?
A viral photograph shows Hunka waiting for a meeting with... Trudeau and Zelensky. It was posted by the Nazi criminal’s granddaughter, Theresa Hunka. She wrote under the picture: “Dedo (i.e. - grandpa) is waiting in the reception hall for Trudeau and Zelensky.” She has deleted the entry and closed the account, of course, but it was too late: the screenshot of the photograph is gathering views on the internet.
Everyone who is invited as a guest of honour to an event that Zelensky plans to attend is thoroughly checked by the security services of not just Ukraine and, in this case, Canada but also by the special services of the US, Britain and several other countries.
According to available information, a meeting with Hunka was listed as a special issue on the agenda of Zelensky’s visit, and Hunka is well known in Kiev. His name is being hastily removed from all ledgers, publications and websites. Even the video of the House of Commons applauding the Nazi has been altered. But the Internet rarely forgets.
It is notable that the foreign ministries of Western countries, including of the once members of the anti-Hitler coalition, have not condemned that orgy of Nazi glorification. The Foreign Ministry of Germany has said that the German Ambassador, who attended the event, knew nothing. It is shocking that the Foreign Ministry of Israel is keeping silent about the international celebration of the Nazi veteran. We can only hope that it is a mere misunderstanding and that it will be corrected soon.
It is the most glaring example of contempt for the memory of the Holocaust victims.
We will judge the real attitude towards this issue by the vote on the UN General Assembly’s annual resolution on combating glorification of Nazism, neo-Nazism and other practices that contribute to fuelling contemporary forms of racism, racial discrimination, xenophobia and related intolerance. Last year, Canada and the EU joined the US and Ukraine in voting against the resolution. In this context, the embarrassment feigned by the Western political establishment over Hunka’s Nazi past is difficult to believe.
After World War II, Canada and some other countries offered shelter to many Nazi accomplices, OUN-UPA thugs, and members of Wehrmacht and SS units. A cemetery in Oakville, Ontario, has a monument to SS Galician, in which Hunka served. Standing on either side of it are the Ukrainian and Canadian flags, just like in the hall where Hunka waited for the reception. The monument was unveiled in 1988 in the largest Ukrainian cemetery in Canada, which shows that OUN-UPA fighters and their descendants have a powerful lobby in the country.
Does anyone think that phrases like “I didn’t know” and “I’m not to blame, he did it himself” will work?
Absolutely everyone knew about Hunka’s past, including the Canadian government, which organised Zelensky’s visit, the Canadian parliament, and the executive office of the Ukrainian president. They knew, and they waited proudly for the effect Hunka’s appearance would produce, reinforcing Ukraine’s new identity as a NATO-centric state in public consciousness. But the effect turned out to be more than they bargained for.

💬 Antony Blinken’s lies on the anniversary of the Babi Yar tragedy
Read in full
Antony Blinken had the audacity to lie about one of the most appalling tragedies of World War II: the massacre of civilians in Soviet Kiev on September 29-30, 1941, in the Babi Yar ravine. Right after occupying the city, the Nazis began their cleansing operations. Within a few days, tens of thousands of Jews, Roma, and Soviet prisoners of war were executed. On September 29-30 alone, the Nazis brutally butchered 34,000 people: this was what Blinken was referring to as he cynically lied (more on this below) about the memory of this tragedy in the USSR, “forgetting” that the executions continued right up to the liberation of Kiev by the Red Army in November 1943.
But we remember everyone: tens of thousands of people of non-Aryan race, partisans and prisoners: all those whom the Nazis sentenced to die and whose remains were left in the Babi Yar ravine. Everyone who lost their lives. Everyone who fell victim to the German idea of superiority. Those who did not live to see the liberation of the Ukrainian SSR capital by the Soviet soldiers.
The US Secretary of State wrote in his post: “Soviets buried this history” by which he meant that they hushed it up. This is a blatant lie, monstrous in its ignorance and cynicism.
No other country in the world so consistently held Nazism accountable for the crimes of the Holocaust as the Soviet Union.
Perhaps there are still decent people left in the State Department who can convey the following information to Mr Blinken.
Already in March 1945, even before the Victory, Resolution No 378 of the Council of People’s Commissars of the Ukrainian SSR and the Ukrainian Communist Party Central Committee, On the Construction of a Memorial at Babi Yar, was adopted, in accordance with which work began to create a park and install a monument on the burial site of the victims of the Nazi occupiers. It was unveiled on July 2, 1976, on the territory that was later named the Babi Yar National Historical Memorial Reserve in Kiev. <...>
Yet Blinken had the audacity to write that we don’t or didn’t remember the past, and he did that on the anniversary of the tragedy. On the other hand, what is left to be desired from the US Secretary of State who was declared one of the most influential Jews in the world last year by an Israeli magazine but who found no words to condemn the honouring of a Nazi in the Canadian parliament? What do we want from the US Secretary of State who issues orders to finance the Nazi regime in Kiev, a regime that glorifies the collaborators Bandera and Shukhevich? What do we want from the US Secretary of State who issues an order to vote against the UN General Assembly resolution condemning neo-Nazism, racism and xenophobia? <...>
P.S. Blinken’s stepfather, Samuel Pisar, was a Holocaust survivor who was in several death camps, including Auschwitz and Dachau. He recalled with gratitude the role of the USSR and Soviet soldiers’ contribution to the Victory over Nazism until the end of his life. Here is an almost prophetic quote of his from an interview with RIA Novosti in 2010: “We, Holocaust survivors who went through Auschwitz, are disappearing one after another. Very soon there will be no eyewitnesses of this catastrophe. And history will speak in the impersonal voice of novelists, researchers and historians at best. Remember Yevtushenko’s poem ‘There Are No Monuments Over Babi Yar’? Shostakovich wrote his 13th symphony called “Babi Yar.” At worst, these will be the voices of demagogues, falsifiers, those who say the Holocaust never happened.”
I wonder what he would say today about his stepson’s lies...

Putin in the Labyrinth: how Moscow can avoid losing in the Middle East
🔹 Each new Middle East crisis is one of a kind, similar to the previous ones - both in the sense of its impact on the region itself and on outside world.
🔹 It is in Moscow's best interest to pursue a balanced line in the Middle East because any tilt in one direction or another will seriously jeopardize its national interests.
🔹 Big politics in the Middle East has consisted, and continues to consist, of such nuances hidden from prying eyes, secret layers. Ignoring this fact in an attempt to pursue a policy in the region based on binary logic, where there are those who are for us and those who are against us, dooms even a great power to the role of an object that is manipulated by everyone.
🔹 When choosing between the conflicting sides in the Middle East, Moscow must invariably choose itself, no matter how this might hurt the feelings of its partners in the region and beyond.
🔹 The view that what happened on October 7 was a colossal failure by Israel’s intelligence services is just a banality now. Lying behind this failure is an even bigger catastrophe - a failure of political strategy, erroneous long-term calculations by the top Israeli leadership.
🔹 Israel has no idea how to strategically solve the problem of the Gaza Strip. The military action it has taken is just a strategic improvisation.
🔹 Based on its status as an influential global and regional player, Russia must contribute to the establishment of peace in the Middle East, and at the same time prevent itself from becoming another "Middle East."

💬 Nazis are marching in front of the White House. This is not a Mosfilm-produced sequel but a documentary chronicle of our days.
This horrifying and savage event is unfolding against the backdrop of the residence of US presidents, featuring Nazi symbols, Nazi chants and salutes from far-right groups.
Who organised this march?
It was orchestrated by followers and accomplices of the Kiev regime. Right Sector activist Roman Kashpur and activist Natalya Shaporinskaya are among the key figures. The latter is directly associated with the American "aid" agency, USAID. In February 2022, Samantha Power, administrator of USAID, spoke at a rally organised by Shaporinskaya's foundations.
So, while America voices concerns about the recent rise in antisemitic sentiments, as I discussed in a briefing, representatives of a group notorious for their blatant anti-Semitism, Judophobia, and various forms of racial intolerance and hatred on national grounds are openly chanting Nazi slogans right next to the White House lawn.
The Nazis spared no one: Jews, Slavs, Roma, and members of other communities deemed Untermensch by the Third Reich.
Today, this ideology flourishes with the support and tacit approval of US government authorities. This is not freedom of speech, but its complete distortion.

💬 The American magazine Foreign Affairs, on international politics, has not yet publicly stated its support for terrorism. However, Ben Hodges, a former Commanding General of US Army Europe and a trio from the US Military Academy – Prof Ledlie Klosky, Associate Professor of International Relations Robert Person and civil engineering expert Eric Williamson – are calling for bloody acts of terrorism.
In five pages, the above team headed by Hodges and Klosky discuss how to inflict irreparable damage on a Russian civilian facility – the Crimean Bridge, a symbol of the peninsula’s unification with the rest of Russia.
They advise potential terrorists what supports to hit, where to put explosives and what missiles to use for an attack. They urge Olaf Scholz to send TAURUS cruise missiles to the Ukrainian Armed Forces as soon as possible. The American military are not in the least concerned that civilians are using this bridge, that women and children are riding trains and buses on it. They persistently encourage the Kiev regime to strike at this key civilian transport artery.
Do these sorry old cowboys know who they look like?
When Crimea was liberated in 1944, the USSR State Defence Committee passed a resolution on building a railway bridge over the Kerch Strait. The cableway resumed operations in February 1944, and the railway opened a bit later (the first train passed on November 3, 1944). The Germans continuously tried to strike both of them. Being aware of the crossing’s military importance, the Soviet command reinforced the group of defence units. In spring 1944, they used 470 air defence weapons, 294 anti-aircraft machine guns, 132 searchlights, 96 fighters and 2 radar stations. They needed all this combat hardware to repel attacks by Nazi troops that were not giving up their attempts to destroy the Kerch Strait crossing.
Am I correct in thinking that US Military Academy experts and retired generals are inspired by the Wehrmacht’s plans when they write about inflicting strategic defeat on Russia with such enthusiasm?
Incidentally, our Embassy in Washington has already publicly asked Foreign Affairs what other extremist manuals it is prepared to publish, noting that the principle of freedom of speech cannot justify appeals for terrorism.
It would be interesting to know how this magazine would react if someone proposed publish an article on its pages using the experience of destroying the Twin Towers on other skyscrapers in Manhattan?

💬 Zelensky said that Kiev was hostage to the election process in the US.
So... were there no elections in the United States before 2024? Or is that the absent Ukrainian presidential elections have been moved to the US?
I get it. Zelensky wants to believe he’s one of a kind and everything revolves around him, but this is not the case. He is just a line in a long list of victims of US “elections,” or, to be precise, the American system. He is one of those who were 100 percent sure the United States was their ally.
South Vietnamese got it back in the 1960s.
There was a girl once upon a time, who was South Vietnam’s greatest beauty, Tran Le Xuan. She was popularly called Madame Nhu because she was married to Ngo Dinh Nhu, the younger brother and chief advisor of South Vietnamese President Ngo Dinh Diem.
Ngo Dinh Nhu and Ngo Dinh Diem, the two South Vietnamese leaders, were supported by the Americans.
Even at the height of the Vietnam War, a bloody and ugly child of the French colonial system, Washington promised Ngo Dinh Nhu and Ngo Dinh Diem its full assistance. The Americans were working hard to ensure the tragic split into the South Vietnam and North Vietnam seeking to benefit from a war in the former French colonies.
Can’t Zelensky see parallels?
The US was so delicate with South Vietnamese leaders that US Vice President Lyndon Johnson visited Saigon in 1961. Later, he, then the US President, would send hundreds of thousands of Americans to die in Vietnam. During his visit, Johnson called Diem the “Churchill of Asia.” In much the same way, the US has promoted an ambitious drug addict crowning him “the leader of a Free Ukraine”.
So, what happened to the Washington allies, Ngo Dinh Nhu and Ngo Dinh Diem? They were killed. General Duong Van Minh, considered one of the most loyal military commanders, led a coup on November 1, 1963 in which South Vietnam’s top brass were arrested and shot on the putschists’ orders.
It was only by chance that Ngo Dinh Nhu’s wife, Tran Le Xuan, wasn’t killed, because she was abroad. It was then that Madame Nhu uttered the much-remembered phrase: "Those who have the United States as an ally need have no enemies". And that phrase turned out to be prophetic. In 1975, it turned out that the Americans knew of the impending coup. They could have warned their allies, saved the South Vietnamese president and his team, but just as the French did not prevent the genocide in Rwanda, the Americans "found it inexpedient" to stop the military putsch. Some sources claim that the degree of involvement of the Americans was even greater in that they inspired the coup and used the military to remove the president.
But let’s return to the American elections. Here are just a few quotations from comments, statements and interviews by the Russian Foreign Ministry leadership on this subject.
Sergey Lavrov: “This is not the first time that serious international issues that concern many members of the world community are being held hostage to US electoral cycles. However, this is a short-sighted approach.” (September 21, 2018)
Sergey Lavrov: “It is sad when these endless election cycles are starting to make virtually everything else a hostage to the domestic US political struggle. Elections take place every two years, and it is necessary to do something during them, so that the enemy will feel defeated.” (December 22, 2019)
Sergey Lavrov: “When the issue concerns a country that boasts the most powerful military and economy, and is the most influential country in the world, which holds political elections every two years, it very often occurs that the most important international issues become hostage to electoral motives of the existing US authorities, which want to ensure that their every move in the international arena scores big for their party candidates.” (December 30, 2015)
We warned them. It’s just that Mr Nhu refused to realise this or was simply unable to. Reread the first sentence of the post: now it started dawning on him.
