💬 Russian MFA Spox Maria Zakharova: For the past two days, Russian Telegram channels and foreign media have been commenting on US allegations about the talks between Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and former American officials in April 2023.
Despite our refutation, Coordinator for Strategic Communications at the US National Security Council John Kirby (read: the White House) said in an interview with CBS, that former top US national security officials held unofficial discussions with Moscow.
Once again:
FOREIGN MINISTER LAVROV DID NOT HOLD ANY UNOFFICIAL (or official) DISCUSSIONS WITH US “OFFICIALS” IN APRIL.
❗️ It is fake news, a lie and manipulation.
We have concluded from these media reports (and Kirby’s interview) that the American side has misrepresented an ordinary discussion with political analysts and public figures, which the head of the Russian delegation regularly holds on the sidelines of his international visits and UN events, as such a meeting.
We presume that they referred to the April 24 meeting with members of the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) currently headed by Richard Haass. Neither Mr Haass nor Charles Kupchan or Thomas Graham mentioned by the US media hold government positions in the United States.
It is the same as presenting Sergey Lavrov’s meetings with members of the Council for Foreign and Defence Policy (CFDP, SVOP), American Jewish organisations and the Foreign Ministry’s Business Council or chief editors of media outlets as “secret talks.”
Such meetings are held to discuss current international relations and the global agenda.
NO PEACE PLAN FOR UKRAINE WAS DISCUSSED AT THE MEETING IN QUESTION.
And now the tough part.
It is usually American experts and political analysts who ask us not to announce or make public the fact of such discussions. They are concerned, with good reason, about the highly toxic atmosphere in the American media and the possible reaction of the obscurantist US authorities. They also openly fear that they will be persecuted.
The current fake news about “secret talks” with Russian officials and “negotiations to end the war” is nothing other than the Biden administration’s wishful thinking ahead of the presidential race.
And once again (to re-iterate):

💬 А.И.Антонов: С упорством, достойным лучшего применения, Вашингтон продолжает "поднимать ставки" в конфликте. Глубокая вовлеченность США в противостояние на Украине и без кассетных боеприпасов ни у кого не вызывала сомнений. Однако нынешний уровень американских провокаций и вправду зашкаливает, приближая человечество к новой мировой войне.
📌 Соединенные Штаты настолько одержимы идеей нанесения России поражения, что не осознают тяжести своих поступков. Ведут дело лишь к увеличению числа жертв и продлевают агонию киевского режима.
📌 Вашингтон проигнорировал негативное мнение своих союзников относительно опасного использования кассетных боеприпасов неизбирательного действия. И это при том, что среди членов Североатлантического альянса есть немало государств, которые участвуют в известной Конвенции по кассетным боеприпасам. Ничего не стоят для администрации также озабоченности Генерального секретаря ООН А.Гутерреша.
☝️ Твердо убеждены: накачка республики западным оружием никак не повлияет на достижение целей специальной военной операции, которая направлена на искоренение угроз безопасности Российской Федерации, включая вскормленный на Украине нацизм.
❌ Кассетные боеприпасы – это жест отчаяния. Такая мера говорит об осознании США и их сателлитами своего бессилия. Однако здесь не хотят признавать собственные неудачи и провал попыток ВСУ провести наступление на российские регионы. Поэтому и совершают новые безумства.
❗️Поражают жестокость и цинизм, с которыми Вашингтон подошел к вопросу о передаче смертоносного оружия Киеву. Администрация полностью проигнорировала тезисы об антигуманности подобного шага, озвученные экспертами, правозащитниками, законодателями. Закрыла глаза на жертвы среди гражданского населения. Теперь по вине США на многие годы возникнет риск, что на несработавших суббоеприпасах будут подрываться ни в чем не повинные мирные люди.

❓: Dear Ambassador Antonov, how could you comment on the US administration decision to provide cluster munitions to Ukraine?
💬 Anatoly Antonov: Washington continues to "raise the stakes" in the conflict with persistence worthy of some better application. The deep involvement of the U.S. in the conflict in Ukraine, even without cluster munitions, has never been in doubt. However, the current level of US provocations is really off scale and brings humanity closer to a new world war.
📌 The United States is so obsessed with the idea of defeating Russia that it does not realize the gravity of its actions. They only lead to more casualties and prolong the agony of the Kiev regime.
📌 Washington has ignored the negative opinions of its allies regarding the perils of the use of indiscriminate cluster munitions. And this despite the fact that among the members of the North Atlantic Alliance there are quite a few states that are parties to the well-known Convention on Cluster Munitions. The administration also does not care about the concerns of UN Secretary General António Guterres.
☝️ We firmly believe that pumping the republic with Western weapons will in no way hinder the path towards the goals of the special military operation aimed at eradicating threats to the security of the Russian Federation, including the Nazism nurtured in Ukraine.
❌ Cluster munitions are a gesture of despair. Such a measure speaks to the fact that the U.S. and its satellites realize their impotence. Yet, they refuse to admit their own failures and the collapse of the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ attempts to launch an offensive against the Russian regions. That is why they commit new insanities.
❗️ The brutality and cynicism with which Washington has approached the issue of handing over lethal weapons to Kiev is striking. The administration has completely ignored the points made by experts, human rights activists and lawmakers about the inhumanity of such a step. It turned a blind eye to civilian casualties. It is now the fault of the United States of America that for many years ahead there will be a risk that innocent civilians will stuck sub-munitions that have not exploded.

📌 Обратили внимание на очередной русофобский выпад администрации. Анонсируя завершение программы химдемилитаризации США, Белый дом попытался заодно очернить Россию.
📌 В наш адрес вновь брошены обвинения: Российская Федерация якобы обладает незадекларированным запасом боевых отравляющих веществ. Видимо, здесь исходят из того, что в таком контексте явно запоздалое выполнение Соединенными Штатами своих международных обязательств будет выглядеть достойно.
📌 В этой связи хотели бы напомнить о полном и досрочном уничтожении российского химарсенала еще в 2017 году, что было подтверждено Организацией по запрещению химоружия.
📌 Вместо того, чтобы разыгрывать «антироссийскую карту», рекомендуем американской стороне не на словах, а на деле доказать приверженность провозглашаемым благим намерениям. А именно - прекратить политизировать деятельность ОЗХО и не превращать эту Организацию из международного инструмента химразоружения в орудие борьбы с неугодными Вашингтону государствами.
📌 Псевдогуманистические воззвания США о необходимости избавления человечества от ужасов применения смертоносных вооружений разбиваются вдребезги о решение поставить Киеву кассетные боеприпасы. Американские власти попросту наплевали на возражения правозащитников и всех здравомыслящих людей, обеспокоенных перспективой масштабных жертв среди мирного населения.

📌 We took note of another Administration’s Russophobic attack. While announcing the completion of the US chemical demilitarization program, the White House also tried to denigrate Russia.
📌 Again, The Russian Federation has been accused of allegedly possessing an undeclared stock of chemical warfare agents. Apparently, Washington proceeds from the fact that in such a context the obviously belated fulfillment by the United States of its international obligations will look worthy.
📌 In this regard, we would like to remind about the complete and early destruction of the Russian chemical arsenal back in 2017. It was confirmed by the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW).
📌 Instead of playing the anti-Russian card we recommend the U.S. Side, not in words, but in deeds, to prove its adherence to the proclaimed good intentions. Namely, to stop politicizing discussions within the OPCW, and not to turn this Organization from an international instrument of chemical disarmament into a weapon against the states which Washington deems undesirable.
📌 The decision to supply Kiev with cluster munitions shatters the pseudo-humanist appeals of the United States about the need to rid mankind of the horrors of lethal weapons. The U.S. authorities simply could not care less about the objections of human rights activists and all sane people who are concerned about the prospect of large-scale civilian casualties.

🗓 5-6 июля в Баку заместитель Министра иностранных дел Российской Федерации С.В.Вершинин принял участие в министерской встрече Движения неприсоединения (ДН).
В российском выступлении на форуме акцентировано, что одной из причин большинства современных проблем, стоящих перед человечеством, является тяжёлое наследие колониальной эпохи.
Государства глобального Юга продолжают сталкиваться на пути своего развития с острыми трудностями, связанными с недобросовестными мерами воздействия извне. Среди таких мер широко распространены:
👉 прямое вмешательство во внутренние дела государств,
👉 незаконные ограничительные меры
👉 искусственные препятствия процессам развития.
Подчёркнута принципиальная убеждённость России в том, что преодолеть тенденцию к деградации геополитической обстановки возможно лишь путём укрепления подлинно демократического диалога между государствами и взаимном учёте интересов.
Непреложной основой международного общения при этом должно являться строгое соблюдение целей и принципов Устава ООН.

📌 Обратили внимание на высказывания директора по страткоммуникациям СНБ Дж.Кирби о поставках Украине кассетных боеприпасов. Чиновник де-факто признался в совершении Соединенными Штатами военных преступлений в ходе украинского конфликта. Открыто заявил, что от американского оружия кассетного типа будут погибать мирные граждане. В извращенном представлении сотрудника Белого дома, это приносит «меньший вред», нежели действия России.
📌 Если в решении администрации о передаче кассетных боеприпасов вообще прослеживается какая-то логика, то она сводится к тому, что «хуже уже не будет». США готовы руками украинцев уничтожать все живое вдали от собственных границ.
📌 Ради чего это делается? Только ради несбыточной мечты о стратегическом поражении Российской Федерации, которая защищает свой народ и свою землю. Мы боремся с киевскими преступниками, которые обнимаются с террористами из «Азова»*, в то время как Соединенные Штаты помогают украинским нацистам совершать бесчеловечные деяния.

The official de facto confessed to the United States committing war crimes during the Ukrainian conflict. He overtly stated that civilians would fall victim to
📌 If there is any logic behind the Administration's decision to transfer cluster munitions, it boils down to "it won't get any worse." The United States is ready to destroy life far from its own borders with the hands of Ukrainians.
📌 What is it all for? Only for the sake of an unattainable dream of the strategic defeat of the Russian Federation, which defends its people and its land. We fight Kiev criminals who embrace the Azov* terrorists, while the United States is helping Ukrainian Nazis commit inhuman acts.

Более 60 человек посетили выставку старинных самоваров и концерт ансамбля «Матрешки». Кроме того, в торжественной обстановке директор центра Ольга Головащенко наградила медалью «За любовь и верность» протоиерея Свято-Иоанно-Предтеченского собора в Вашингтоне отца Виктора и матушку Марию.
Специально для гостей отец Виктор рассказал о православных корнях праздника, об истории Петра и Февроньи, а также показал икону с мощами святых.
