We took notice of the fierce statements by the U.S. Administration on the allegedly politically motivated decision of the Russian court that sentenced Vladimir Kara-Murza to 25 years in jail.

Such statements are an overt attempt to exert influence on the independent judiciary system of the Russian Federation. The question arises what verdict the U.S. Themis would have rendered for a U.S. citizen found guilty of treason, i.e. betrayal of the motherland? What would be its reaction if an American went to a foreign country's parliament, like a job, with accusations against the leadership of its own state and took an active part in crafting illegitimate sanctions?

❗️The duplicity of Washington's policy is manifested in the behavior of the U.S. authorities who remember about democratic values only when the conjuncture speaks to its appropriateness.

The selectivity of the U.S. actions is so obvious that American media outlets are already paying attention to this fact. We recommend that U.S. «democracy advocates» watch the film "O, Canada!" announced by popular #FoxNews host Tucker Carlson featuring illustrative examples of human rights violations by one of the main allies of the United States. Judging by the promotional video, the documentary gives grounds for criticizing 🇨🇦 and applying the notorious restrictions to them.

While appealing to freedom of speech abroad, there is an embarrassing silence on shameful excesses in America itself – as was the case with certain politicians who after the so-called "Сapitol Attack" were literally kicked out of social networks under the pretext of "incitement to violence".

❓How the United States – with its increasing police violence, race discrimination, religious and ethnic hatred – can even judge? Maybe the U.S. ruling class should use its indefatigable energy to address the humanitarian crisis on the Mexican border where thousands of migrants, including children, are kept in inhumane conditions?

☝️It is time for the Washington elites to stop their gross, systematic interference in our internal affairs and focus on their own problems at home.

❓: Dear Ambassador, how could you comment on the statement by Under Secretary of Defense C.Kahl about the risks of escalation of the Ukrainian conflict?

💬 Anatoly Antonov: The official's reasoning is full of cynicism, hypocrisy and imbued with an arrogant attitude towards our country. The Pentagon official bluntly stated that the administration has "not held things back out of concern for escalation" when supplying weapons to Ukraine.

Thus, the American admitted that Washington deliberately pursued a provocative line towards Russia throughout the conflict. It handed over to the Kiev regime increasingly more deadly and long-range systems that have exclusively offensive, not defensive purposes.

❌ We do not believe the words of the Pentagon representative regarding the concern expressed by the United States about American weapons "being used for striking targets inside of Russia". If the United States had really taken into account this extremely important aspect, it would have immediately stopped such attempts by Ukrainian radicals. In fact, the unprecedented assistance and connivance on part of the administration are only encouraging the perpetrators in Kiev to commit new crimes.

All of this is an eloquent proof that Washington is the "mastermind" behind the confrontation in Ukraine. In an effort to inflict a defeat on us, they forget here about literally everything, and most importantly, about the fate of the Ukrainian people and the risks of a global conflict.
