🇷🇺🇺🇸On February 10, on the occasion of Diplomatic Worker’s Day, a traditional event took place at the grave, located at the Oak Hill Cemetery, of Alexander Bodisko, Envoy Extraordinary and Minister Plenipotentiary of the Russian Empire to the United States.

I would like wholeheartedly to congratulate everyone on our professional holiday – Diplomatic Worker's Day.

Following a good tradition, on this day we pay tribute to the memory of our predecessors who dedicated their lives to serving the Motherland in the diplomatic field. Earlier today we have visited the grave of Alexander Bodisko an outstanding Russian diplomat, who served here for 17 years. Our compatriot contributed a lot to the greatness of Russia, including through the development of bilateral relations.

I would like to convey my sincere words of gratitude and support to veterans of the diplomatic service. Our senior comrades have done everything for us to continue their work, defending Russian national interests.

Dear friends,
It just so happened that we live in difficult times. Our Motherland is again in danger, as it was during the Great Patriotic War. The Armed Forces defend the sovereignty and independence of Russia in a special military operation. We, who are many thousands of kilometers from our homeland, defend the interests of the Motherland in the conditions of a hybrid war unleashed against us.

The whole Western world is fighting against us. However, it is already clear today that plans to inflict a strategic defeat on our country have been derailed. Russia, especially over the past year, has rebuilt the economy, strengthened its military potential, and stepped up cooperation with most of the states.

Yes, it's hard for us. Yes, we live under economic sanctions. They even want to erase the name of our Motherland from the political map of the world. Day after day, Russian diplomats feel the desire of enemies to undermine the centuries-old friendship with the countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States, as well as Asia, Africa, and Latin America.

❗️Nevertheless, the Russian Federation does not give up its goals, the main of which is the formation of a democratic world order based on equality and respect for international law - such an order that will provide conditions for the fair development of all countries, where the national interests of any state will be respected, based on the principle of indivisible security.

Our Embassy is a small part of Russian society. Together with our native country, we overcome difficulties and hardships, rejoice in victories. Here, far from the Motherland,each diplomat does his best to strengthen the image and prestige of Russia.

Dear friends,
We have received many congratulations on our professional holiday from our colleagues. Of course, from Moscow, as well as Russian embassies in other countries. I am grateful to colleagues from the countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States for their kind words and wishes.

President Vladimir Putin, Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergey Lavrov have praised the results of our activities and wished us new achievements.

On this wonderful day, I would like to thank you for your excellent work, to wish you good health, success and prosperity. I am confident that our team will continue to work with maximum efficiency.

I express my gratitude to the colleagues from the embassies of the Commonwealth of Independent States, who joined us today to take part in the event. We don't have any covert agenda. The only thing we want for your countries is to prosper and to live without shocks. I am firmly convinced that only by unity and reliance upon common culture, history, and traditions we can achieve high standards in politics, economics, and social development.

I am also glad to greet our compatriots who, despite the current Russophobic atmosphere, continue to love their Motherland and believe in it.

Ко Дню дипломатического работника в диппредставительствах России за рубежом прошли памятные и торжественные мероприятия.

🎉 В российских посольствах по всему миру состоялись мероприятия с участием официальных представителей государства пребывания и местного дипкорпуса.

🕯 По традиции российские дипломаты почтили память похороненных за рубежом сотрудников дипслужбы и известных соотечественников.

🏫 В школах при посольствах прошли тематические уроки с участием представителей загранучреждений.

✍️ В ряде стран дипломаты также воздали должное А.С.Пушкину (10 февраля – день памяти Александра Сергеевича), возложив цветы к бюстам и памятникам великому русскому поэту, вспомнили его бессмертную поэзию.

⚽️ В День дипломата также прошли традиционные спортивные мероприятия, в частности, в Камбодже, Никарагуа и Непале состоялись товарищеские футбольные матчи.

❓ Как и чем юный гражданин может помочь в своей стране?

💬 С.В.Лавров: Сначала надо получить профессию. Для этого нужно хорошо учиться. Банальные слова, но на самом деле в современном мире объем знаний очень важен <...> Всё это обретает дополнительный смысл, придает новые силы, когда ты всё это делаешь не только для саморазвития, но и понимаешь, что это важно для твоей страны.

❓ Какая общая идея могла бы объединить всех людей на планете?

💬 С.В.Лавров: Думаю, что дружба. Это было бы идеально. Дружба – это такое явление, которое не знает границ <...> Противоположная линия, направленная на то, чтобы не дружить, а подчинять и подавлять, является «фирменным знаком» американской политики. Даже с союзниками в Европе у США нет никакой дружбы. Это «подавление» и подчинение.

❓ Кто такой дипломат?

💬 С.В.Лавров: <...> Для дипломата прежде всего важны знания, знания и еще раз знания. Эрудиция без каких-либо ограничений, в любых сферах. Не только в истории, не только знание языков. Дипломатия сейчас такая, что эрудиция дипломата должна охватывать и сферы современных технологий, кибербезопасности, потому что все это обсуждается на дипломатических форумах.

❓ 2023 год объявлен годом наставника и педагога. Был ли у вас наставник?

💬 С.В.Лавров: У меня было много наставников <...> Были наставники и в Министерстве иностранных дел. Сразу после института поработал в Москве два месяца и уехал в Посольство СССР в Шри-Ланке. Там моим первым большим, настоящим учителем стал Посол Советского Союза Р.Н.Нишанов.

⚡️ Специалисты МЧС России совместно с коллегами из Белоруссии и Киргизии спасли спустя 160 часов из-под завалов после землетрясения в Турции человека.

Поисково-спасательные работы проводились в тёмное время суток с риском для жизни в связи с возможным обрушением конструкций и длились более 4 часов.

🧑‍⚕️ Потерпевшему была оказана первая помощь непосредственно внутри завала врачами МЧС России. Позднее пострадавший был доставлен на машине скорой помощи в госпиталь.

⚡️ Russia's EMERCOM specialists, together with colleagues from Belarus and Kyrgyzstan rescued an injured person from under the blockage after a series of earthquakes in Turkiye, 160 hours later.

The search and rescue mission didn't stop even at nighttime. EMERCOM specialists willingly risked their lives disregarding the further possible collapse of the blockage.

🧑‍⚕️ The victim immediately received first aid from EMERCOM doctors on-site. He was later taken to hospital.

⚡Emergency Statement by Joint Coordination Headquarters of Russian Federation for Humanitarian Response in Ukraine

Part I (see Part II)

◻️The Kiev regime, supported by the United States and European countries, is completing preparations for a large-scale information provocation (‘grand event’) to accuse the Russian Federation of alleged ‘grave breach’ of the Nuclear Safety Convention in course of the special military operation ahead of the Eleventh Emergency Special Session of the General Assembly on 22 February.

◻️For this purpose, Kiev regime representatives intend to present the international community with ‘hard evidence’ allegedly confirming that there is ‘radioactive contamination of significant areas of Ukraine’ emerged in February–April 2022 as a result of Russian servicemen's actions at the Chernobyl NPP and in the ‘exclusion zone’.

◻️The Kiev regime's large-scale provocation is primarily intended to create negative atmosphere and impose political pressure on those state leaders who oppose Western sanctions against Russia in order to ensure that they vote ‘correctly’ at the UN in support of Ukraine’s ‘Peace Formula’ and another initiative to illegally seize Russian assets abroad to ‘support Ukraine’ and establish a sort of ‘international tribunal’.

◻️Experts from the Norwegian Radiation and Nuclear Safety Authority have been involved in preparing the ‘documentary basis’ and the so-called ‘independent opinion’ on the alleged ‘impact of radiation on the population of the north and north-west of the Kiev region’.

◻️Practical implementation of this large-scale information provocation started in late January 2023 when the Kiev regime officially asked the EU Emergency Response Coordination Centre to send Ukraine 66 000 sets of special protective clothing, 20 million (!) civilian gas masks, chemical reconnaissance devices, dosimeters, and a wide range of antidotes.

◻️At present, Norwegian experts have completed a ‘survey’ of the areas adjacent to the Kiev–Prypyat highway, as well as in the settlements of Bucha, Gostomel, and Irpen, where, together with representatives of the Ukrainian special services, falsified protocols have been drawn up for the alleged presence of ‘radioactive contamination’ in these territories.

◻️In addition, on the basis of fabricated ‘interviews’ with Chernobyl NPP personnel, fake ‘evidence’ is being prepared of ‘Russian servicemen looting radioactive materials, chemical solutions, and radiation-contaminated equipment’ and alleged removal by Russian troops of ‘items containing dangerous radionuclides’ outside the ‘exclusion zone’, resulting in ‘irradiation of the population of the temporarily occupied territories’.

◻️Representatives of local authorities, who allegedly recorded ‘a surge of complaints from the population with signs of radiation exposure’ and medical institutions in Kiev region, who presented false ‘medical records of the victims’, were also involved in forming the necessary ‘evidence base’.

◻️Moreover, funding has been allocated to create a dedicated website to disseminate fabricated content in various languages, primarily in South East and South Asia, Central and Latin America, and African states, as well as to prepare a number of informational materials on the subject for publication in the leading American and European mass media.

◻️The IAEA and Pentagon officially refuted the claims made by the Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba on 9 March 2022, regarding a purported ‘failure in the cooling system of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant’ and ‘radiation leakage’, while the Western mass media is instructed ‘to ignore under any pretext’ this information.

◻️According to an official statement by IAEA Director General R. Grossi, it is vital to keep in mind that on 1 April 2022, Ukrainian officials gained control over the Chernobyl nuclear power station after Russian delegates signed the requisite protocol.

◻️In turn, many IAEA missions to the Chernobyl nuclear power plant (in April, June, November 2022, and January 2023) verified the normal radiation background at the facility and the surrounding areas without any irregularities.

◻️The Chernobyl NPP's radiation condition remained steady, according to the IAEA Report on Nuclear Safety, Security and Safeguards in Ukraine, which was made in September 2022.

◻️In order to continuously monitor the radiation condition at the facility, at least two IAEA inspectors have been stationed there since January 2023.

Accredited journalists will be sent detailed information concerning the technical aspects of submitting questions.
