🔹 There is still a lot of tension around the world, mainly caused by the persistent attempts by US-led Western alliance to avert the complete erosion of its global leadership in the hope of retaining the ability to deliver on its own development agenda at the expense of other members of the international community.
🔹 This selfish approach clearly runs counter to the aspirations of an overwhelming majority of countries, interested as they are in shaping a multipolar world order with more justice and injecting a bigger dose of genuine democracy into international relations.
🔹 Russian diplomacy will continue promoting a unifying agenda in international relations, strive to reinforce global stability and search for political solutions to regional conflicts.

⚡️ An interactive open-air museum dedicated to the history of Moscow defence and the 81st Anniversary of the Military Parade of November 7, 1941 was opened right on the very spot the Parade took place - on the Red Square. President Vladimir Putin visited this exhibition in person later in the evening.
The exhibition comprises several sections dedicated to life in the besieged city in the autumn-winter of 1941 and its defenders’ heroism and tenacity. Around 60 exhibits dating back to the Great Patriotic War from the Vadim Zadorozhny Museum of Machines are also on display.

🔹Российско-американский политический диалог – на беспрецедентно низкой отметке. Общение сторон ограничено и во многом сведено лишь к обсуждению технических проблем.
🔹Белому дому не уйти от ответственности за затягивание конфликта и гибель невинных людей. Однако США продолжают с маниакальным упорством придерживаться тактики войны на истощение. Изматывание всех – украинцев, россиян, европейцев. А также рядовых американцев.
🔹Российские официальные лица и лично Президент России неоднократно подтверждали, что мы не собираемся применять ядерное оружие, в том числе тактическое, на Украине.
🔹Посольство – тоже в каком-то роде передовая. К своим служебным обязанностям относимся с высокой долей ответственности.
🔹Что касается угроз – они действительно нередки. Обычной и электронной почтой, через соцсети недоброжелатели пытаются запугать дипломатов и членов их семей. Получали мы угрозы и в мой адрес.
☝️Россия заинтересована в равноправном и взаимовыгодном диалоге по контролю над вооружениями. Но мы не будем упрашивать США вернуться за стол переговоров.

«Доверительная беседа может сломать много барьеров»
8️⃣ ноября в Российском культурном центре в Вашингтоне состоялся показ документального фильма Михаила Гусмана «Анатолий Добрынин. 24 года и 14 дней из жизни Посла», приуроченный к 60-летию Карибского кризиса, для учеников старших классов.
Фильм посвящён выдающемуся советскому дипломату Анатолию Федоровичу Добрынину, который в 1962-1986 годах был послом СССР в Вашингтоне и при непосредственном участии которого Москве и Вашингтону удалось избежать войны в ходе Карибского кризиса в октябре 1962 года.
Руководитель Российского культурного центра Ольга Головащенко, выступая перед гостями показа, отметила, что в нынешней напряженной международной обстановке важно познакомиться с опытом выхода из Карибского кризиса, который закончился мирным разрешением опасного для всего мира противостояния двух держав.
Первый директор Российского культурного центра Наталья Батова рассказала участникам о своем знакомстве с Добрыниным, о его дипломатическом пути, а также показала книгу Добрынина, которую автор вручил ей в качестве подарка в далеком 1992 году.
«Анатолий Добрынин - наш учитель. Доверие и доверительное общение были главными мотивами Анатолия Федоровича в общении с людьми. Добрынин считал, что доверительная беседа может сломать много барьеров», - сказала она.
После показа Наталья Батова провела для гостей обзорную экскурсию по старинному зданию Российского культурного центра и рассказала об истории его открытия.

We agreed that the strengthening of the Russia-India privileged and strategic partnership meets the vital interests of our nations and helps maintain international and regional security and stability. We praised our interaction in the world arena, including at the UN, BRICS, the SCO and the G20, as well as other multilateral platforms.

🔹 As the SCO evolved, not only has it paid increasingly more attention to the issues of heading off and neutralising new challenges and threats, such as terrorism, extremism and separatism, but it has also capitalised on its comparative advantages.

🔹As an institution, BRICS – Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa – is equally useful, and we need it just as much. Interest in this global association is high and continues to grow. You mentioned several countries, including Algeria, Argentina and Iran, which are showing an interest in this format. In reality, there are over a dozen countries like this.
🤝 Before we give specific details as to how and when BRICS might expand, we, the five BRICS countries, have agreed to coordinate the criteria and principles that we should be guided by when considering applications. We have already received some official applications for membership. Given this, we expect the work on coordinating the criteria and principles that should underlie BRICS expansion to not take much time, but first, we need to understand how this association will continue to develop in a potentially expanded format.

🔹Russian-American political dialogue is at an unprecedentedly low level. The communication between the sides is limited and largely reduced to a discussion on technical problems.
🔹The White House cannot escape responsibility for prolonging the conflict and killing innocent people. However, the United States continues with its maniacal persistence to adhere to the tactics of war of attrition by exhausting everyone - Ukrainians, Russians, Europeans as well as ordinary Americans.
🔹Russian officials and the President of Russia have repeatedly confirmed that we are not going to use nuclear weapons, including tactical ones, in Ukraine.
🔹The Embassy is also in some way the frontline. We treat our official duties with a high degree of responsibility.
🔹As for the threats, they are indeed not uncommon. Detractors try to intimidate diplomats and their family members by mail and e-mail, through social networks. We have received threats addressed to me as well.
🔹Russia is interested in an equal and mutually beneficial dialogue on arms control. However we will not beg the United States to return to the negotiating table.

💬Anatoly #Antonov: On the whole, we consider the decision by the U.S. administration to lift financial restrictions on Russian diplomatic missions to be a step in the right direction, although belated. It took a lot of work to bring Washington to realize the significant damage that sanctions inflict on our diplomats around the world. We hope that banks will correctly perceive the signal from the financial regulator and stop blocking the transactions necessary to ensure the normal functioning of Russian diplomatic institutions.
However, the U.S. Treasury Department’s license does not relieve the United States of responsibility for imbalances in world markets, which are caused by numerous illegitimate unilateral barriers. I am referring to rising prices, supply chain disruptions, problems in the food security sphere. Today’s illogical announcement by the U.S. administration - that Russia is now somehow considered a non-market economy - falls into the same category.
