Significant Rise Of Ethereum Gas Prices
May 2020 is marked with skyrocketing of Ethereum Gas prices.
As of yesterday, the average Gas price was 36 Gwei, although at the beginning of the month it was 13.88 Gwei.
Hence, gas cost has made almost 3x up since May 1.
Noteworthy, that usually Ethereum gas price fluctuates between 10-14 Gwei, except of high periods of stress like 77.90 Gwei on Black Thursday (March 12).

The Amount Of Bitcoin Locked In DeFi Hit ATH
The total BTC locked in DeFi reached 3.232k on May 13, marking an ATH.
Almost 1,000 BTC was added in a single day due to the launch of WBTC (ERC-20 token backed 1:1 with bitcoin, making bitcoin available on the Ethereum Network).
By the way, despite ETH is one of the oldest collateral, its amount locked in DeFi has been falling since February 2 (3.235M vs current 2.629M).
The total BTC locked in DeFi reached 3.232k on May 13, marking an ATH.

Estimated income from Spot trading of the three top exchanges amounted to around $50M on each, which is on average 30% more than income from futures trading. At the same time, futures trading volumes significantly exceed the spot.
The exception was the FTX exchange, which is traditionally a derivative exchange. FTX derivatives trading income is ten times higher than the spot.

Revenue calculation was performed as follows: Spot and Derivatives adjusted volumes in April multiplied by the arithmetical mean fees declared by exchanges. The report indicates exchanges that provide both - spot and futures trading services.
In this revenue chart, we didn’t take into account any VIP programs and fee discounts for native exchange tokens holders, and other factors that reduce the estimated revenues of exchanges.
