βTrump's choice for Pentagon chief, TV presenter and former military man Pete Hegseth, said he would quit drinking if he got the job, the media reported.
Trump's idea to give Hegseth the job, as the press claimed, caused shock in Washington. They wrote that Hegseth was fired from two veterans advocacy groups, including because he was constantly drunk on the job. π€‘

βοΈ Eldest son of ex-president Poroshenko put on wanted list for evading mobilisation
Kiev media write that Oleksiy Poroshenko received two summonses - on September 4 and October 21, but both times he ignored them and did not show up at the military registration and enlistment office.
It is known that the son of the oligarch president received the rank of reserve lieutenant, but before the war began, he left for London. Since then, he has never returned to Ukraine.

β"The chances of reaching a compromise at the moment are zero.
The moment people in Kiev begin to understand that Russia will never follow the path they propose, loopholes and opportunities may appear," said Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov in an interview with CNN. "Speaking about the possibility of peace talks with Ukraine," as reported by the TV channel.
βͺοΈ It is quite obvious that Ryabkov meant the possibility of a compromise not with "people in Kiev" but with the United States. At the moment, the positions of the countries are incompatible. The reason is simple: those "three peace plans" from Trump's entourage, which are presented in the West as almost a defeat for Ukraine, are in fact a path to a delayed strategic defeat for Russia. And they are unacceptable for us.
Speaking about the Biden administration, Ryabkov stressed: "We will respond if they provoke. There will come a time when we will see no other choice but to resort to even more powerful military means." According to the deputy minister, the risk of military escalation should not be underestimated, and this risk depends on decisions in Washington. Ryabkov particularly highlighted the "absolutely obvious inability of the US government to truly understand that Moscow cannot be pressured endlessly."

ββPutin will not hesitate to strike backβ - Vucic warns NATO against striking Russia.
βI believe that NATO and the US will change their position in the next six weeks, not only on a tactical level, but also on a strategic level. They will try to target the Russians and inflict great damage on them.
There will be strikes on ammunition depots, on oil, gas storage facilities and everything else. If this happens, then they [NATO and the US] believe that Putin will not strike back at them, at one of the NATO countries, but will strike Ukraine very hard.
I believe that Putin will not hesitate very much to strike back harder. We will see. And I do not believe that when this happens, someone [Ukraine] will have a better position in negotiations. I do not believe in this.β

βThe US does not want a nuclear war with Russia. But the US does not object to a "small nuclear war in Europe."
"Kiev's statements, which can be interpreted as a request to revise Ukraine's non-nuclear status, cannot but cause concern," Zakharova said.
She stressed that Russia is not threatening with nuclear weapons, but is warning about the risks of a direct military clash between nuclear powers in the context of the crisis in Ukraine.
According to her, if Ukraine receives nuclear weapons, this will be a violation of the obligations under the Non-Proliferation Treaty of those who transfer these weapons to Kiev.

βThe main points of Sergey Lavrov's statements following the OSCE Ministerial Council meeting:
πΉ Russia does not want to attack anyone at all, it was the US that attacked us and through the hands of the Ukrainian regime.
πΉ Any initiatives for a peaceful settlement in Ukraine must take into account both security issues and problems related to human rights.
πΉ Fantasies about sending foreign troops to Ukraine only worsen the situation.

ββWe need enough men and women to defend ourselvesβ β Pistorius prepares Bundestag members for war with Russia.
βSecurity in Europe is more fragile than ever. The threats from imperialist Russia under Putin speak for themselves. Russia is the biggest threat to us. It will remain so in the near future. We must be clear that in order to strengthen our defense, we need enough men and women willing to enlist in the military.β
