#Bolivia: Following condemnation by Luis Arce (MAS, left) and Evo Morales (MAS) of remarks by army general Juan José Zúñiga that Morales will not be allowed to run for President, Zúñiga launched a coup attempt and tanks have surrounded the presidential palace.

However coup leader General Zúñiga and his forces have now withdrawn from the plaza at the presidential palace following President Arce's (MAS, left) appointment of a new military high command, which ordered the coup plotters to stand down.
