#Guatemala: The Constitutional Court has upheld a move by outgoing congressional leadership to suspend the Semilla Movement (centre-left) and declare their legislators as independent.

Analysts report that outgoing congressional leadership are attempting to prevent the new Semilla (centre-left) deputies from being sworn in. Legislators have been locked inside Congress, with protesters outside denouncing the moves by Congress as a coup.
