Who lived in the Moscow Kremlin and when?

If you think the Russian president lives in the Moscow Kremlin, you are wrong: he doesn’t! Despite the fact that the Grand Kremlin Palace is still considered his official residence, he lives in Novo-Ogaryovo, just outside Moscow. Nowadays, it is only the Presidential Regiment that permanently resides in the kremlin, yet, that was not always the case.

At some point in time, the Moscow Kremlin was a full-fledged city quarter with a whole lot of buildings, and the last tenant moved out of their kremlin apartment only in 1962!
In addition to the tsars, at various times the Moscow Kremlin was home to clergymen, boyars, officials, monks and the Bolsheviks.

🇷🇺 From the interview of the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Indonesia H.E. Mrs Lyudmila Vorobieva to Gatra magazine (23.02.2023)

👉 Key points:

💬 Over the past eight years since 2014, the West has turned Ukraine into "anti-Russia" both in political and security ways. It is clear that as early as 2022, Kiev was planning a major offensive into Russian territory, including Crimea.

💬 We are trying to protect innocent people, we are not simply bombing and destroying everything as the United States did in Iraq.

💬 These sanctions have failed to achieve the goals the West had hoped for. Our government has adapted policies to help protect our domestic businesses and keep them thriving. We also transformed into a partner <...> for Asian countries, including ASEAN where Indonesia is part of.
🇷🇺 Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Indonesia H.E. Mrs Lyudmila Vorobieva commented the non-implementation of the Minsk agreements by the West in the interview to Media Indonesia (25.02.2023)

👉 Watch full interview: is.gd/xs7v2H

💬 We were trying to convince the West that we need to build common security architecture. We were trying all our best, all diplomatic efforts to make the West - NATO and the US - hear our concerns. Our concerns were ignored.

💬 We supported the Minsk agreements, which were signed between the leadership of Lugansk, Donetsk and Kiev governments and which presented a very clear roadmap - how to solve this conflict. They [Ukraine] never did it.

💬 The West did not have any intention to implement [the Minsk agreements] or make Kiev implement it. It was just a trick to gain time and to arm Ukraine meanwhile.

🇷🇺 Duta Besar Federasi Rusia untuk Republik Indonesia Ibu Lyudmila Vorobieva berkomentar mengenai penolakan Barat untuk mengimplementasikan perjanjian Minsk dalam wawancara kepada Media Indonesia (25.02.2023)

👉 Menonton wawancara lengkap: is.gd/xs7v2H

💬 Kami mencoba meyakinkan Barat bahwa kami perlu membangun arsitektur keamanan bersama. Kami berusaha sekuat tenaga, semua upaya diplomatik untuk membuat Barat - NATO dan AS - mendengar keprihatinan kami. Keprihatinan kami diabaikan.

🎙 Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov’s remarks at a plenary meeting of the G20 Ministerial Council on multilateralism, global economy and development

📍 New Delhi, March 2, 2023

💬 We stand in solidarity with New Delhi’s call to build a common future for humanity, which is especially important in the context of growing geopolitical confrontation. We share the practical objectives of strengthening multilateralism and overcoming global economic crises set during India’s Presidency.

❗️ I would like to apologise to the Presidency and our colleagues from the Global South for the improper behaviour of a number of Western delegations, which turned the discussion on the G20 agenda into a travesty in an attempt to shift their responsibility for failures in economic policy to others, primarily Russia.

The formation of a polycentric world calls for recognising civilisational diversity and mutual respect for interests. It is imperative to stop being guided by the flawed logic of domination, diktat and sanctions. We welcome the rise of new centres of influence in Asia, the Middle East, Africa, and Latin America.

☝️ We will strive to democratise economic management. We support the African Union’s G20 membership. We advocate for increasing the role of the developing economies at the IMF, the World Bank and the WTO and eliminating the Western monopoly in environmental and human rights organisations.

⛔️ It’s time to stop playing the food card. Today, the bulk of grain supplies from Ukraine are being shipped at giveaway fodder prices to the EU, rather than to the poorest countries that need them. Without any scruples, the West is burying the UN Secretary-General’s well-known humanitarian initiative.

🤝 We will continue to make a major contribution to ensuring economic stability. We are open to an equitable dialogue at the G20. We hope that the Delhi summit in September will at least mitigate the risks created by the self-serving Western policies.
